View 13 RepliesI keep getting a low memory warning and I need to find a way to fix it.I have about 1.3gb left on phone memory. My internal SD card says it has .90gb left, with 7.1gb being used. I have nothing in the media section and I have moved everything I can when presented with the option to make more room on the internal SD.Is there a way to clear more space? Moving apps to SD doesn't work. They just go to the internal SD card. I'm not sure what is taking up so much space. I don't have that many apps loaded up.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI put a bunch of music on the Ext. SD card and I've got about 400MB left on that card. I'm getting a "Low on Volume Space" notification over and over again. How can I stop this notification? If there is no way to stop the notification (very annoying, the space is there to be used after all), does anyone know what triggers the notification. I could clear music off until it is no longer sending the notification,
View 11 Replies View RelatedAfter upgrading to ICS, I now frequently get a warning something to the effect of "thermal protection warning" where it is telling me the phone's temperature is too hot and it is dimming the backlight to prevent burn in until the phone cools. This happens for me under two scenarios: 1) most frequently, usually playing words with friends and happen to be sitting in an area where coverage is very bad (I don't have WiFi here either) and 2) while using Google navigation. It's surprising how hot the phone gets (less surprising when doing navigation, using GPS
View 14 Replies View RelatedI've noticed since the update my phone does get a little hot when I've got the screen on (acutally using the phone). Since Saturday I've noticed my temp getting over 120 and i will get a Display Thermal Warning which i have never seen before. The screen is hot to the touch as well. It's a bit frustrating since I'm not using the phone any differently than normal and I'm having to stop what I'm doing to let it cool down a awhile.

View 5 Replies View RelatedCurrently digging my Razr M, but one small thing is driving me nuts, I am unable to figure out how to clear the 'favorites' in the dialer.
I can clear the recent calls with no issue, but that 3rd tab, favorites, I am unable to make those go away or reset.
I am stumped by this one. When I listen to music in the standard music player that comes with the phone (My Music), it creates a notification with the song that I am listening too (thumbs up). However, I am unable to clear this notification even when I stop listening to music and exit out of the program (thumbs down).
View 2 Replies View Relatedjust reporting an issue I have noticed with ICS on my Droid RAZR. If I have a text message conversation open and receive a new message from the same contact, the notification icon pops up, I'm properly notified, but then it won't clear without backing out of the conversation to the higher level text messaging section. I have had success a few times with tapping on the new message to clear the notification icon, but not all the time. This was not an issue I noticed with the previous version of Android.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI don't want the roaming "global" service turned on. For all I know it will change my contract and cost me a zillion bucks.
But this dialog box comes up everyday around here, sometimes several times a day. But notice that there is no way to actually turn off the message without turning on the service!
Having a problem using my S10-HD head set with my Droid RAZR; the volume is at best half that when I use my S10-HD's with the original Droid.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI got my Razr Maxx replaced under Asurion warranty, got sent a "Certified Like New" from Verizon, and I can't hear people through the earpiece. It's way quieter than my other phone, even at the loudest volume, and then it crackles at that volume. Can I fix this myself or do I need to take it to Verizon and demand that they give me a good phone without having to pay their crap replacement fee?
View 3 Replies View RelatedIs it just me or with the upgrade to JB has Moto taken the colume controls on this phone and downgraded the performance of the speaker?
Having mild hearing loss I loved the fact that with this phone my ringtones and notification sounds could wake up the dead. For normal situations I would have to slide the volume controls to the mid point of the slide bar, but when I was in a noisy environment I could slide the controls all the way to the right and be sure I wouldn't miss a call. Now after the upgrade it seems like even with the slider controls all the way to the right the volume is no where nearly as loud as it used to be.
Is this just me or did Moto make a change with the update? If so is there anyway to get back to the pehnenomal speaker performance we had under ICS?
Since upgrading to ICS on my Droid RAZR MAXX, the volume output on my HD dock is either full blast or off. I'm not able to control the volume.
View 11 Replies View RelatedIs there a setting that would allow the volume to be adjusted while in a call without taking the phone away from my face. the volume key should not lock out when the screen turns off during a call.
View 5 Replies View RelatedHow do I increase the volume of my earpiece? It seems to be extraordinarily low.
View 3 Replies View RelatedFor some reason I occassionally cannot get the volume to increase in media, such as Netflix. My solution has been to close the app and reopen.
View 9 Replies View RelatedHas anyone found a setting for the volume of the shutter sound that occurs when you take a screenshot of the RAZR MAXX on ICS? It seems much louder than any other sound effect on the phone.
View 6 Replies View RelatedThis makes the volume rocker and frame look "rough", when I think that's just the camera and flash accentuating ribbed nature of the volume rocker Anyway, does anybody else's look like this around the volume rocker? I can actually push it back in just a tad on the top side of the rocker, but not on the bottom.
If this is the way it is, well, so be it. If it's not, and nobody else has this issue, I'll be exchanging it later. I've done nothing to this phone but hold it in my hand and set it on my bedside table. The VZW rep put it in their black hard-shell case, which is very tight and hard to get off, but other than that, this has been babied during the whopping 16 hours I've had it.
Recently, when I unplug my headphones, the media volume level indicator briefly comes up and shows that the media volume has been set to zero. I can't imagine why this is happening.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI've noticed this happen several times before, but if I'm connecting/disconnecting to headphone jack or bluetooth, all media volumes will go silent (resuming a podcast, music, etc), and turning up/down the volume has no affect. The only fix I've found is to pause everything, go to the homescreen, turn the phone volume (which appears automatically) down, then go back into the app and press play. However, sometimes I can't turn the phone volume down on the homescreen because only the media volume appears, even after I close the media apps (even from the recent menu from holding the Home button). Even going into Menu > System Settings > Sound > Volumes and adjusting everything there made no difference. I had to make a phone call, hang up, then go back to the homescreen, turn the phone volume all the way to mute/vibrate, then turn it back up and go back into my media app and the media sound would be restored. It's really frustrating and considering how often I use media apps and how often this happens, I'm considering ditching the Razr Maxx and getting a non-Motorola phone.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have found that the earpiece volume after the JB update, when you pick up a call is very loud and can't be lowered unless you rock the volume buttons during the call. Even if you leave the volume low during the call, on any subsequent calls the volume reverts back to being very lound and you have to do it all over again. I didn't have this issue on ICS. I did notice it on the leaked OTA before the official OTA also. When I reverted back to ICS after the leak and before the official OTA, the issue fixed itself.
View 6 Replies View RelatedMy phone received the Jelly Bean update which is awesome and it runs very smoothly. The only issue I am having is when listening to music in Pandora or Songza and i get a notification, the volume is approximately half until the song changes or i exit the app and restart the app. Also, if the phone is on silent or vibrate this does not happen.
View 8 Replies View RelatedSo, we've discussed this in other forums. There are hundreds that experience this problem. The volume will not raise or lower when the screen is off. (Such as holding it up to your ear.) You have to take the phone away from your ear and turn on the screen before you can change the volume. So, will they be fixing this any time soon? I know that theyre working on the hotspot, but this affects more users. Some have thought that this was put in by design to keep someone from inadvertently raising the volume while talking. If th the case, then Motorola needs to give us an option to turn this setting off. Many owners are upset about this. e heard that the volume will raise if you repeatedly press it. m on my second Razr and I can honestly tell you that neither worked this way.
View 15 Replies View RelatedThis is the only phone that i've had that does not allow the option to link the notification and ringtone volume together. it's really inconvenient to use the volume rocker to adjust the volume of the ringtone, only to have to go deep in to settings to adjust the notitication volume as well.At least on my nexus 7, there's a mini setting when you hit the volume rocker that allows you to adjust the playback and notification volumes from your current screen. i hope that gets added to the JB build of this phone, if we cant link.
View 2 Replies View RelatedFor those few of us who actually use the RAZR to make phone calls, ;-) have you noticed a change in the sound volume of the ear speaker? On mine, it seems to have become quieter, and even with the volume all the way up I can't hear callers as well as before.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIn GB we used to be able to link our ring tone and notification volume. Doing that allowed me to use Smart Actions to lower the volume of my phone when at work, or make it go completely silent when at school. After upgrading to ICS I no longer have the ability to link the two volumes (see attached photo). How can I link the two volumes again and continue using Smart Actions. (note I want to try and not use third party apps to do something that was an included feature, ex: using another profile management app to disable notification sounds.)

View 13 Replies View RelatedI just got the Razr HD on Thursday when it became available and I love it so far. I connected my Sony Bluetooth stereo headset (url...). So, not the typical one ear peice just for answering calls. I got them because I listen to music on phone while at the gym and the wire from my old headset kept getting in the way. So, these worked great with the Droid X, never had a problem. I connected them to my Razr HD and the volume instantly goes the the max and cannot be turn down. I use the volume rocker and the volume stays at the max volume until I turn the volume all the way down at which point there is no sound. I can't find a bluetooth volume slider in the sound volume settings and the "Music, Video, Games, & other media" volume control isn't doing anything to adjust the volume for my headset. The headset does not have a volume control of its own and right now I can't use it becuase it is way too loud. I know there ways to be able to adjust the volume for each device independently on custom roms and rooted devices why can't these simple things be added to "stock" roms? Anyone know how to get the volumes to work without having to go to a custom ROM?
