Since I've updated my razr maxx with ICS, my phone has been heating up more than Gingerbread. I have no apps running in the background. I also have been having problems with 4G cutting out and I will have to go into and out of Airplane mode to get data access back. I have received the official update:
View 6 RepliesI've noticed since the update my phone does get a little hot when I've got the screen on (acutally using the phone). Since Saturday I've noticed my temp getting over 120 and i will get a Display Thermal Warning which i have never seen before. The screen is hot to the touch as well. It's a bit frustrating since I'm not using the phone any differently than normal and I'm having to stop what I'm doing to let it cool down a awhile.
View 7 Replies View RelatedWe send a droid razr for repair on 8/22 and it was received on 8/24. Received an email at 11:03 on 8/27 that the problem with the phone is not covered under the warrantee and to contact Motorola as soon as possible to authorize and pay for the repair. I agreed to pay $125 plus tax to repair the screen as long as the overheating and battery not holding a charge was looked into. Today I called to see what was going on and was advised that she (rep) has no idea and would send an email and get back to me within 24-24 hours. I advised that was not acceptable and I was sent to the Repair Escalation Department, Curtis advised me the exact same thing and when i explained that my phone has been with Motorola since 8/24 and they have had my payment since 8/27 and that originally I was advised that the repair would be done and the phone back to me within 5 business days and we were now at 8 and I needed to speak to a supervision he stated that he was the supervisor and there was no one above him to talk to. Someone please explain how I am getting the same exact information (none with a 24 to 48 hour wait time) from customer service and the Repair Escalation Department?
View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen I am in a group chat and am on a wifi network the messages never actually are delivered to my phone, i just get a little bubble that i can click that makes my phone download the message. When this happens ill get a whole bunch of undownloaded messages piling up and my phone keeps trying to process them i assume so it heats up to an extreme level. Has this issue with messages not downloading over wifi and if this causes there phone to heat up a lot too, this also causes my battery to drain extremely fast. I just tried downloading the google messenger app (not hangouts) to see if this problem would be solved and it still isnt working. And yes all my other apps are working on the wifi so its not an issue with the wifi.

View 8 Replies View RelatedWhen I open my Phone App, I have Favorites, Recent, and Dialpad catagories. What was Motorola doing NOT putting Contacts in the Phone app. I'm really unimpressed by ICS and actually prefer the previous OS.
Bluetooth functionality doesn't work well. There's so much idosyncratic about this OS that I personally do NOT like.
It seems that this release is typical of a manufacturer letting their user base beta test the OS for them.
I've had this razr maxx hd just beyond the verizon "no worry" 14 day period and now its turning off and restarting on its own. It seems to hapen if Im texting and an email comes in but not totally certain. Is this something I'm just going to have to deal with until 4. comes out and hope JB doesnt hav the same issue? Verizon will replace it but with a refurb...Lets see..I bought it btand new 17 days ago, and they want to replace it with a refurbished phone

It was there with my razr before the ICS update and then it went away and still not there when I got my razr HD. I liked that reature because I liked to sync all the contacts and then only show just the contacts with phone numbers.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been turning my razr off and plugging in the charger ( in that order), and I get the big blue battery with the percentage of charge in the center. the problem is that it won't charge a few nights ago I plugged it in when the phone was it 20 percent, and when I woke up in the morning it was still at 20 percent this morning I noticed that I was using an old usb charger that came with my blackberry could this be the problem? before I try going down to the vzw store and overpay for a charger I want to make sure that it will work.I have a droid razr with ice cream sandwich

I tried with phone off plugging it into an AC cable and no light. No recently installed apps and I haven't done this since updating to ICS until now. I know it didn't use to do this
View 5 Replies View RelatedI currently keep the power button set to end calls. During a speaker phone call the screen goes off (as expected). The only way to get it to turn back on is to hit the power button, which ends the call. If I change the settings to have the power button to not end calls the screen will come back on and I could switch out of speaker phone. Is there a way to get the screen back on while leaving the power button to end calls?

I even checked the online gallery on the Verizon site and that has no photos in it. Where did it sent the picture? It is not in the gallery, it is not on the SD Card, it is not in Handcent's download folder, not in the default DCIM or download folders on the phone.

I can't seem to get this back.The app I had been using to set volume became too buggy with the last update and it isn't supported well. I've been trying different apps so it may have been an app that caused the timer to display.

Prior to ICS, on the Favorites Screen in the Phone App, the people who I called regularly were only listed once, even if I had called them on different #s listed in their contact profile. Under ICS, people are listed multiple times equivalent to each number of theirs dialed. This has the effect of getting fewer people listed on the Favorites screen. Is there a way to customize this so it goes back to the pre-ICS approach of only listing an individual once?

Then, when the proximity sensor was triggered when you removed the phone from your face, the screen would light-up, the phone screen woudl be present, and you would simply end the call. Now, when I remove the phone from my face I find the lock-screen, so I must first unlock it before I can end the call. I have searched for a settings to fix this and cannot locate what I need

Every time i create a new contact, it comes up at the top as Google Contact and when i create the contact it gets saved to google account.If i delete the google contact, all the contacts gets deleted too. It gets hot when listening to pandora or videos after a short time in use. Her battery life wasnt the greatest from the beginning but after ICS it's worse. View 1 Replies View RelatedI previously owned a HTC Windows Mobile phone that consistently showed 3G connectivity in certain areas not covered by Verizon. Now, I own the RAZR, and when in the same areas, the phone will not connect at 3G, but only at 1x, which really sucks down the battery, not to mention being totally unusable for any data needs.I realize that LTE/4G is only in the Verizon footprint, but I would expect to still be able to connect at 3G speed when in these non-Verizon locations.
