View 1 RepliesSo yesterday I was using Facebook on my Bionic for a good half hour to 40 min. After I was done I put the phone in my pocket and went on my way. About an hour later I take out my phone to use it and upon waking up the phone, there was a pop up box on the screen stating that the Facebook app was either not responding or has been running for an extended period of time would you like to terminate the app? I click on the button to kill it off and that was that.
Has anyone ever had this happen on their phone? In all the years I've owned an Android phone I have never seen something like this, is this Moto's app killer? I know I do not have any apps listed in the apps to kill in the moto app killer so I'm not sure why this pop up came up.
First time I've gotten this alert. Not rooted. Was in dock all night.Pulled it out of dock and within moments I got an alert I've not seen before, in the status bar.I went to the task manager to see what it was all about and the OS was using 54% of the CPU.Moments later it jumped to 80+ percent. It kept moving between 50-ish and 80+ from moment to moment.I ended up shutting the phone off and restarting it.After doing that, no more alerts, but the first time I checked the OS following the restart, it was at 27%.Basically, it's now using a minimum of 16% and sometimes more than 25%, but never more than roughly 30%.IS THAT NORMAL?oh, and as a test, I put it back in the dock for a moment or two, took it out, and no "high CPU usage" alerts.
View 15 Replies View RelatedAs the title says, I am looking for a way to change the text alert (for when someone sends you a page), both volume and actual sound used, using an app or smart actions (in much the same way you can change the ringer using smart actions).Unlike most people I want it to get really loud and anoying at night (when I am likly asleep) so it will wake me up.I am also looking for a way to alarm/chip/alert/notify again if I have unheard messages or unviewed pages. Right now there is this blinking LED on the front. That is nice, but it won't wake me up or let me know if I went to the other room for a sec.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI want to make my apps install to the SD Card (32GB) like they did with GB installed.I know there has got to be a way - I did an FDR before and after ICS, So I've downloaded 2 apps that I've bought and don't see how to move to SD Card (says internel and/or phone, but no SD option)
View 12 Replies View RelatedIt happened again today. I picked up the phone to make a call and it was in the middle of rebooting. It had been sitting idle for over an hour.I rebooted it myself the night before just prior to connecting it to the charger.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI just noticed that my calendar hasn't synced since the beginning of April.
View 2 Replies View Relatedwhy Bionics don't have the stock Sound Recorder app. When scrolling through the "All Apps" list in Manage apps, it's there, but the size is zero bytes. I'd much rather use the stock app if possible. It's the bestone by far.
View 1 Replies View Relatedhearing a clicking sound when playing videos or netflix from the Bionic? I was trying netflix for the first time playing futurama episode 44 "were the buggal" and when ever there was sound from the speakers it was makeing a clicking sound even when it it is about half way turned down.I tryed to take of the back and it still dose it....is it just my new phone.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI do love it but i wish it had more customization options! why does motorola decide something is not suitable for their customers? we are not all alike instead of throwing out features they should just have an option to turn on and off.I really, really, REALLY wish my homescreen would rotate in BLUR without having to use a diffrent launcher!i mean its so dumb, i roate my phone and i have to make a selection with the homescreen stuck on portrait then when the app or even the app drawer opens it rotates.
View 5 Replies View RelatedOne issue I have with the calendar is that most of the options have been moved to the top of the screen. for example show today, the views along and add. It makes using the phone take two hands instead of just one like the Stock Google Calendar Client.
View 2 Replies View RelatedAs of Dec. 14, Google discontinued support of the sync between the mobile and Outlook. They said that you could still use it but it doesn't work. I have both Comcast and Outlook. I got Outlook so I could sync with Google on the Droid. Is there any EASY way to get a calendar on the Droid that will sync with Outlook or Comcast?
View 5 Replies View RelatedFacebook Calender sync with Bionic? Is there a way to do this? My Samsung Charge (POS!) did this, and was wondering if there was something I needed to change in the Bionic to do this..I'd also like to add that this phone fricking Rocks. I had the Samsung Charge for 3 weeks and I think I got a minor ulcer from it - muted calls, reseting, freezeing on reset. The screen was beautiful, bout all I have to say nice about the phone.I will say - it chews up the battery, but that's ok. I expected that from the begining. I'm just really impressed with it. Only problem or complaint I have is the blue tooth dialing.. It's locked up and reset the phone three times.. it's very differnt from the way it worked on my droid. Seems to be a diffrent program all together.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI placed a new event on my phone this afternoon and when I got back to my office I noticed it wasn't on my desktop calendar. I couldn't understand why it didn't sync. I went the phone and saw that the calendar was "phone" calendar not the corporate calendar. There was no way to edit the phone calendar on the page to choose which calendar to place the new event, like I could on my OG Droid.
View 2 Replies View RelatedFor the first time, my Bionic started making a sound, somewhat between a slow crackle and a tick (although not perfectly regular in timing), that was audible with the phone setting on a sofa cushion. It sounded like it was coming from the area of the mic, but I suppose it was coming from the speaker on the rear near the bottom. I was not actively using any apps at the time, although Google Music and Pocket Casts had both been used (via Bluetooth headset) earlier today.
I tried sleeping the phone and waking it up, and the sound resumed. Power off, waiting a minute or two, and then power on seems to have fixed it, at least for the 10 or so minutes since I restarted it. For the record, this phone has been nearly 100% reliable -- the battery cover has never been off since leaving the Verizon store, about a week after launch.
The issue occurs when playing music and you get CPU load. For me this usually occurs within 6 hours after a reboot. Apps that use the network to stream music are more affected. This usually occurs while the screen is off at random times, and is resolved temporarily when you press the power button. However, there appears to be a bug in the OS where simply touching the screen can cause enough CPU load to create this issue, although that bug seems to require the phone being on for a while. Also, if you do/don't, can you post your kernel version? The atrix uses 2.6.32.9-00001
View 4 Replies View RelatedIs anyone else having an issue where their external sound (ringtones, navigation, music, etc) gets distorted and digitized occasionally? It seems completely random and I asked around when I first got my bionic and no one had heard of the issue so I went to verizon and they exchanged the phone for a new one even though they couldn't reproduce it because it's so intermittent but the new one has the same problem.
View 15 Replies View RelatedI've read that you should accept corporate sync invites in your calendar view. However, when I hold down a tentative request the only options that appear are view event, delete event, or new event. Please help. I need to accept events from my calendar.

View 4 Replies View RelatedThis is my first "smart" phone and I have a question that (I hope) has a simple answer. The phone produces sounds when e-mails or text messages come in as well as for phone calls, and I want it too. Except at night. Is there a way to set the Bionic so that ONLY an incoming phone call produces a sound?I have an elderly mother and need to receive an emergency phone call. However, I don't need want the phone to wake me up any time an e-mail or text message arrives. Sleep mode allows calls to come in but there is no sound.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI installed the ICS yesterday. Now the Vibrate on touch in the sound setting drops out after five minutes or so.This happens every time I go back to turn it on. Also the sleep in the display setting keeps going back to 30 seconds, no matter what minutes I select . Is this a bug that can be fixed with a update or is there something else I can do.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI hav noticed that when I pair my device with a bluetooth speaker, that sometimes audio will still come out of the Bionics speakers instead of the bluetooth speakers. For example, the alarm clock alarms.
View 1 Replies View RelatedJust got my new Bionic. Tried a favorite web page and was unable to sign into it. The cursor appeared in the user box but keyboard does not appear even after double tap. Is there a setting that controls this?
View 5 Replies View RelatedIs there an easy way to sync Outlook contacts and calendar without Exchange? This is the only problem I have encountered with my new Bionic. The calendar synced, but I have lost my categories, etc. The contacts synched, but I seem to have three of everything (???). Is there a way to delete all the contacts on the phone and start over? I find it hard to believe someone has not come up with an App to make a direct USB sync with the PC, given the Extensive use of Outlook...
View 1 Replies View RelatedEvery so often when playing a game or hearing my phone ring, my sound goes weird and it sounds tinny and high. It always self corrects usually on the next play of a turn or another call. I think this may have also happened on my OG Droid.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI went into the settings->call settings->voicemail settings and changed the voicemail number to be *86,,0000 (replace 0000 with my actual voicemail pin) so that it would dial, then pause (twice), then send my pin. This works if I use the #1 speed dial shortcut to voicemail, or if I just use my contacts entry for voicemail.
It doesn't work if I use the voicemail app shortcut that is on the home screen. Does anyone know a way to get that voicemail app shortcut on the home screen to use the voicemail settings?
When in a phone call I can't hear jack out of my earpiece speaker, have to put it on speaker phone to hear anything...So is there a software bug, or do I have to warranty out my device?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have had my phone for over two weeks. I've begun to notice that the phone doesn't ring when I get a phone call. Sometimes a particular call won't even register as missed; other times the call just goes to Voicemail
View 15 Replies View RelatedThe notification sound (when an email/sms/calendar pushes) during a call is so annoying and uncomfortable (there will be a weird sound in the earphone and then the normal notification sound, too distracting). Is it possible to disable that weird sound?
View 2 Replies View RelatedHas anyone noticed a "warbling" sound your Bionic makes in between the time you select the phone number out of your contact directory and the actual placement of the call? I can make an assumption that the phone is sending the phone number to the carrier via that warble but I have never heard that through my OG Droid. If that is the case, what can be done to mask that tone
