Motorola Droid X :: Move App Icons To The Screens Of It?
Jun 12, 2012all the downloaded apps I have show Icons that I would like to move to the various screens of my droid x. I thought I coud hard press and drag and drop from the manage apps but that doesn't work. Is there a way to do this? annumber of icons like abc news fox,drudge on on my screens but there are many that are not.

Apr 16, 2011Is there an app or way to have all my Home screens rotate to landscape mode, as well as key apps like the dialer? I use the nav system in the car if calls come in, or if I want to lauch a traffic app, the screens, menus and dialer are all portrait/vertical. I've tried Open Home as a home screen replacement but felt it slowed down my DroidX and I don't really want to have to go through all the shortcut customization again. I tried the Car dock but can't globally add all the apps and some of the alternate car replacement apps seem to require a physical dock, which I don't use, and require adding in the apps I want to use.

Apr 22, 2011Since I got my Atrix about two months ago, I have had several issues that I have seen posted and am still awaiting a fix. Like horrible call signal when iPhone has no problem, security lock timer, voice quality from my handset, but I have not read about this other one with the Incoming Call. This issue is very random for me, but when people call me, usually I get their image in the middle and what looks like the lock screen, with one bar on left and right that can be swiped to answer or hang up. This is the screen that I get maybe 75% of the time, but every so often I get another Incoming call screen that doesn't have the bars that swipe, but at the very bottom it has two large buttons, a green one to answer and a red one to ignore. I know not a big deal, you either swipe or press a button right? Well it also affects the ringtone, when I get the slider buttons, the ringtones work fine, but when I get the buttons, it uses the original default ringtone, not even the default ringtone I have setup on the phone. I don't have any other dialer or call log app installed, I just set up my ringtones in settings and choosing individual users. Anyways, I like the button screen dialer, better than the default swipe one, but is there a way I could set a default and not get different incoming call screens.

Sep 16, 2011I noticed that then I use my Photon as a mass storage device to access the storage card I loose shortcuts on my screams. Sometimes my applications also gray out in my apps manager. A power cycle of my phone brings my applications back but the short cuts are still gone. I noticed the apps that disappear are ones that are stored on my SD card. It appears that going to mass storage mode disconnects the card from the phone disabling the apps and canceling the shortcuts. Does anyone know how to keep this from happening? I may want to move apps to my phone memory that I do not want to disappear all the time whew using mass storage mode. I never had this problem with my EVO and used mass storage often.

Aug 12, 2011Is it possible for my screen to NOT close when I am on a call? It makes doing anything involving the keypad, looking up numbers or messaes or anything else impossible because I keep having to power the screen back on etc.
Also I very religiously clean out my cache, data when it isn't going to delete important info. etc. Haven't added that many new apps. Have moved EVERYTHING I can to the SD card. Yet, my phone memory keeps going down. Is there a way to slow this? My phone that used to have tons of memory on it is now down to 30%. Tips? I know apps etc take up memory, as does there data etc. It just seems to be dropping more than it should.

Jul 2, 2011how to be able to jump between mulitple pages/screens/applications? With my Blackberry, if I was on one page, I could click a button, and it would give me the option to go to the home screen and then anywhere else I wanted to go. Then, go back to the original application, and still be where I left off. I was uploading pics on Facebook, and I tried going back to the gallery page to preview the rest of the pics for possible upload, but when I hit the home icon, then menu, then gallery.....it kept taking me back to the Facebook notification page. I'm sure with the Android system, it is possible to do it (if the Blackberry can), I just can't figure out how.

Apr 7, 2012Occurred 3rd time in last 2 months(well spread incidents) - Photon just starts rebooting continously on its own (shuts down - loads back to the startup screens - connects to sprint - shuts down again..... loop continues non stop). During the restarts if it is un-noticed for a while the phone gets very hot. The only way to stop is to pull the battery out, after which it starts fine.Not sure what the issue is. Any thoughts? Would not prefer to do a factory reset as there is no observed pattern, all three incidents were when phone was not being used and was in the pocket. No extra apps are running generally whenever I check through the task manager - I cannot check while the phone is rebooting though.

All the other menus or navigating around the phone is smooth as silk. I do run a live wallpaper but changing to a static one it seems the same. With all the horsepower this phone is supposed to have I expected those screens to just to fly by smoothly.

Jul 22, 2011Does Motorola intentionally make their new products inferior at release?I've been using a Droid and a Droid 2 for about 18 months.I shoot a lot of pictures outdoors, some macro, lots of nature and concerts.I also shoot indoors under challenging conditions (concert lighting.) They have both prtovided a passable point-and-shoot camera.The Droid 3 camera is dissapointing in that several important features have vanished:
-There is auto white balance, only a manual and difficult-to-use control.
-The user can no longer set ISO
-The user can no longer set EV
-Focus is iffy under a variety of conditions
-Photos have a bluish cast under most conditions, with and without flash
So instead of getting pretty good shots with a convenient camera, I'm getting washed-out, bluish garbage.(Issues with the video vs. Droid 2 also, in a separate post.)I want to know if Motorola intends to make the experience of this camera catch up with the spec soon, or if i should return my phone while I can still get something else from Verizon.
