I just noticed that the Market is now only showing my paid apps in "My Apps". All of my free apps are still installed and working and are listed in "Manage Applications" in Settings.

I somehow deleted the market app from my phone (I'm running 2.1 on the Cliq, which is like being on dial-up, but I digress). It doesn't seem to be a Widget or a Shortcut I can get back. I tried going to market.android.com, but I can't find a way back to the nice, easy to use Market app I had before.

View 15 Replies View RelatedLate in the game, but I just updated my Cliq to 2.1. At first, the calendar was working fine, but now, it is having some issues. When I go into the calendar, it shows me a black screen with two options:"Showing events since Aug 23 2011. Tap for more.""Showing events until Aug 23 2011. Tap for more."Choosing either of those will take me to the Agenda View showing the most current events.But, If I choose to the month view, the date defaults to December of 1969. I would then need to press "Today" so that I can view the current month and year. I have searched around and looks like this has happened on the droid forum, but did not say whether if or how it was solved.

I bought the phone in the US with a google account with my US credit card, yet I now am using it in Asia. I have no access to the paid market as well as a number of US specific free apps like banking that I need.
Is this solely based on the sim card I have inside or my location? I try with wifi and get the same result. Any way around this problem?I'm trying hard to love the N1 but it irritates me more than amazes me. I have an iPad (also bought in the US with a US credit card and used in Asia) and I have access to the full market without any questions asked. The N1 is a beautiful device but with the problems and limitations I'm having with it, I am leaning towards selling it at the moment.
I am upgrading to 4G and just finished backing up the sd card. How do I back up my paid apps and user settings?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a WiFi only Xoom, purchased and being used in the UK.I am unable to purchase and install Paid Apps at all, which is something I expected as an advertised feature.The symptoms I am experiencing include:No "Best Selling Apps" displayed in the Market App.Unable to find any Paid Apps at all through searching.o "Books" tab displayed.Attempting to buy via the web version of the Market I see the message "This item cannot be installed on your device."Most Free Apps install ok.A few common Apps that I can find via search (e.g. Flash, Blogger) claim they cannot be installed "in your devices Country".I cannot find the Kindle App at all even though Amazon have confirmed it is Free and available in the UK.
If I use a VPN to connect through our USA office, I see slightly different results:I can see "Best Selling Apps" and "Books". can search for Paid Apps.If I attempt to purchase a Paid App I receive the message "The item you were attempting to purchase could not be found."I am able to search for and install Flash and Kindle without a problem, although Blogger still complains about devices CountryI have attempted a number of recommended fixes, including:Clearing the Market cache and data;Reboot;Factory Reset. do not want to root my device at this point and so would rather avoid the use of such workarounds as Market Enabler.This is very disappointing and I'm not exactly happy about this situation, even though the rest of the tablet seems to be an excellent device.
I just got this phone from someone who upgraded up. If I only want to use it for calls and texting and nothing else, should I update from its current system version 1.6 / Firmware version 1.5?If I wanted to do this manually, are system and firmware updates done separately and where are the download pages to do it manually?There are threads talking about how updates slowed down CLIQ MB200 phones. Do they slow down the basic functions of this phone? I see there are Android platform versions all the way up to 3.2. Is version 2.1 the last version compatible with MB200?Some threads compare updating this phone to installing Windows 7 or Vista on older computers - they would slow down basic functions on them so it's really not worth it to update. Is that comparison true when it comes to this first Android phone?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Motorola Cliq updated to 2.1.5 through T-mobile.Up until this weekend, I had no problem getting Data pushed through whether I was in my area or my boyfriends area (his is non 3G and he does NOT have WiFi) ...I was at his place this weekend, and my Data ONLY pushed through when I was in a WiFi area and I had WiFi enabled.he problem is, now that I'm home IN A 3G AREA my Data STILL only pushes through when WiFi is enabled. I get NO INTERNET CONNECTION at all.I can't even get my phone to be recognized through the Motorola Troubleshooter now when it IS plugged into my laptop via USB ....Hoping to avoid a reset, even though I have everything synched through my Blur acct and Gmail

From all the info that I've read, the latest version is 1.1.30. I've tried doing a system update from the phone, but it tells me that I am up to date.

I have tried the Vol-Up-On start and cleared the Market cache with the same result. Would uninstalling an reinstalling Market be the next step.
how to make my Flipside install apps that the market says is incompatible but really are? My bank just put out an app and the market says it is incompatible. I also have an Alabama EMS app that the market says is incompatible, but I got the developer to send me the .apk and it installed and worked like a champ!

View 6 Replies View RelatedAny app I try to download wont download. It just has a continuous downloading status but never actually downloads. Has anyone seen this problem before? I spoke to a sprint rep and she did a refresh but the same problem still persists. I even restarted the phone but still have the same issue. My internet and everything else works. The rep told me I can do a factory reset to see if that will fix the problem. I will take it to a sprint store but wanted to see if anyone else had this problem and fixed it without doing a hard reset.

when i get an update notice, and go in from that icon, it shows me "google maps", "kindle", and "Internet".
i uninstalled the market and it was fine. (it ended up re-updating itself at some point later.) it happened again. i went into manage apps and cleared the data, and it was fine.

View 6 Replies View RelatedThe screen has been cracked recently, so my brother took it upon himself to buy me a Cliq (MB200) from someone off CraigsList for my birthday. I am not sure if this is the route I would had gone but it's not like he can take it back now. Luckily it is a Cliq with a T-Mobile emblem on it, which is my carrier, so there shouldnt be any problems. And it appears to be in excellent condition.OK, time to transfer the SIM card.First, we cannot get the newly purchased Cliq to recgognize my SIM card. It is an old T-Mo SIM card that has been transferred from A Samsung T-719 purchased in 2007 to a BB Pearl to a BB Curve and then to the Cliq2 bought in 2011. I do have newer SIM cards that have never been opened or activated, so that could be an option. But the SIM works fine in my Cliq2. But in the newly purchased Cliq we immediately get the "Please insert SIM card" message on the screen.Yes, we did do a factory reset and then re-tested the SIM.Wi-Fi works.We were curious if the SIM Card can't be read until we go through the Motoblur registration.Also, can the Motoblur info just be transferred from the Cliq2 to the SIM Card or SD Card so I don't have to login on the newly purchased Cliq?I forgot my Motoblur password and it is registered with an inactive email address, so a password recovery via email is not an option. Should I just open a new Motoblur account? Will it let me connect the same emails and social media accounts as the old Motoblur account?

i updated my defy from motorola site but i have one problem i can't download apps.
i have acount on market place but after i chose apps i want to download it shows that dowload start and in the next second dowload paused..
I just opened the Market to see whether any apps of mine needed updating and "My apps" shows that I have only 7 apps installed--and that doesn't include Gmail, Google Voice, Google Search, etc. I realize that this may be unrelated to Motorola or the Droid X, but you never know. Just thought I'd ask to see if anyone else is noticing this. Perhaps Google is in the process of updating the Android Market?
