Upgraded to 2.1 on my Cliq. Had to do a factory reset. Had to do another factory reset a few days later b/c I had put my SIM card into another cliq and my motoblur got "confused". So now I am up and running good for now, but whenever I have a facebook update on my Happenings widget, the picture shows on the home screen but when I touch the widget and the happening opens its own screen, the picture is gone.

When I looked at it and turned on the Wi-Fi, it began to take a long time starting up with the "Turning On..." prompt on it. After a while though, it would then say "Error" or "Unable to Start". I've already Factory Reset the phone and that doesn't work at all. When I click on WiFi Settings and went into the Advance Settings, right below the MAC Address, it said "Unavailable".

As I page through them, I find that the 'new' happenings go from current messages to some that are a week old...in other words, happenings that I've already read a week ago are coming back as 'new'. This has happened several times.

View 15 Replies View RelatedI have been experieincing a bug for a while now and have decided to ask if anyone else has this problem:
1) I have both the happenings and messaging Motorola apps as widgets on my home screen.
2) I have the Messaging app restricted to only show updates from Email, Text, and Facebook.I have deselected my work outlook email because I don't want it included in the App.
3) I have the Happenings app restricted to only show updates from a group I created of a selct number of my Facebook friends.
4) Both apps work fine (except for the occasional instance about once every 2 weeks where Happenings fails to update for about 4 to 12 hours - but lots of people have this problem)
5) About once or twice per day these widgets reset to where it starts showing all happenings and all messages.At this point I must edit the widget settings and deselect my work outlook and select my special Facebook group.
A) Both apps do not always reset sometimes it is just messaging sometimes it is just happenings.
B) Both apps will reset if I reboot the phone.
C) My perception - this reset seems to occur frequently after I have made a phone call or opened my contacts list.... but I cannot reproduce it... just seems to correlate to those usages.
Can someone tell me what file this information is stored in - maybe I can find out more info on how it is being reset.
On my Moto Droid Turbo I am using the Command Center widget and for the most part, like it a lot. I had a question about the calendar(s) that it polls to show on the right side. It is showing an other calendar I have access too, even though on my calendar app, I have it set to not display.
Is there a way the Command Center widget can be told what calendar(s) to use? The entries it shows me are not really important to me for the most part (I only have access to the other calendar for occasional reference).
Is it me or does it seem that the battery graphic on the notification bar is not telling the true story? The phone (in settings) and widgets say 70% but the icon is in no way close to 3/4 full. It looks more like 90%. It always looks fuller then the battery truly is. I do understand that 70% can be anywhere between 70-79 but that's not close to what it shows on top. It's like Apple and the signal bars and how they showed higher then reality.

If I only want to use it for calls and texting and nothing else, should I update from its current system version 1.6 / Firmware version 1.5?If I wanted to do this manually, are system and firmware updates done separately and where are the download pages to do it manually?There are threads talking about how updates slowed down CLIQ MB200 phones. Do they slow down the basic functions of this phone? I see there are Android platform versions all the way up to 3.2. Is version 2.1 the last version compatible with MB200?Some threads compare updating this phone to installing Windows 7 or Vista on older computers - they would slow down basic functions on them so it's really not worth it to update. Is that comparison true when it comes to this first Android phone?

I get NO INTERNET CONNECTION at all.I can't even get my phone to be recognized through the Motorola Troubleshooter now when it IS plugged into my laptop via USB ....Hoping to avoid a reset, even though I have everything synched through my Blur acct and Gmail

From all the info that I've read, the latest version is 1.1.30. I've tried doing a system update from the phone, but it tells me that I am up to date.
View 2 Replies View RelatedThe screen has been cracked recently, so my brother took it upon himself to buy me a Cliq (MB200) from someone off CraigsList for my birthday. I am not sure if this is the route I would had gone but it's not like he can take it back now. Luckily it is a Cliq with a T-Mobile emblem on it, which is my carrier, so there shouldnt be any problems. And it appears to be in excellent condition.OK, time to transfer the SIM card.First, we cannot get the newly purchased Cliq to recgognize my SIM card. It is an old T-Mo SIM card that has been transferred from A Samsung T-719 purchased in 2007 to a BB Pearl to a BB Curve and then to the Cliq2 bought in 2011. I do have newer SIM cards that have never been opened or activated, so that could be an option. But the SIM works fine in my Cliq2. But in the newly purchased Cliq we immediately get the "Please insert SIM card" message on the screen.Yes, we did do a factory reset and then re-tested the SIM.Wi-Fi works.We were curious if the SIM Card can't be read until we go through the Motoblur registration.Also, can the Motoblur info just be transferred from the Cliq2 to the SIM Card or SD Card so I don't have to login on the newly purchased Cliq?I forgot my Motoblur password and it is registered with an inactive email address, so a password recovery via email is not an option. Should I just open a new Motoblur account? Will it let me connect the same emails and social media accounts as the old Motoblur account?

View 1 Replies View RelatedEver since the ICS update, my gallery likes to not show the pictures that are on my phone. They were visible pre-ICS, but are now not. If I use a file manager I can see that they are still on my phone and even view them, but they refuse to pop up in my gallery. I have tried the unmounting and mounting of my SD card as I have seen people wiht similar problems do, but have had no success.
Is there a new folder that the pictures need to be moved to to be seen by the gallery app? I'm guessing no because they did occassionally show up after the update, but now won't at all. Still, worth asking.
in the gallery? So was I. Sometimes it would take some time for them to all load and be viewable, that is until I installed an app simply called "Rescan SD.You press the app and it instantly updates the contents of your SD card. Now my pictures load up automatically with no problem at all.

I noticed yesterday though that when doing a search, they show up fine until you click on one to look at bigger, and it's blurry. That is not the case with my Droid 3.
1) I've added a Facebook Account
2) There was no pre-installed facebook app so I downloaded and installed the Facebook App from the Market.
No pictures in my contacts although my facebook contacts did appear (in text form). I did wait a day to see if they'd come down. Next, I removed the app and the account. This time around I switched the order...
1) I installed the Facebook app from the market
2) I went to add and account. There was a small facebook icon and a large one. The large one looked "new" so I tapped it. The screen when blank for a second and then back to the account icons.
3) I chose the smaller facebook icon and was prompted for my login.
Facebook is listed as an account, but still no pictures in my contacts.
The picture gallery is showing all of the folders on the SD card that have pictures in them including folders which were previously hidden. how to reset this to not look in hidden folders? I have noticed that the file manager sees hidden folders as well. This is new since the upgrade to Android 2.3.4

I think the problem has something to do with Verizon Backup Assistant +. If I go in manually for the contact and put the contact photo in, then I can see them in Handcent SMS. I have many contacts, and I really don't want to do this manually.
View 13 Replies View RelatedI've upgraded to the latest N900 firmware (pr1.2) and ever since I have had a problem with the calendar widget. All the events are contained in the calendar when I open it however they are not displayed on the desktop widget. I've got events loaded for the month of June but for some reason these are not showing. Instead I have events showing for July, September and even December. I've tried removing all the entries and the re-adding them but this hasn't solved the problem. I also created another calendar and placed the entries in the new one, again this didn't work. Does anybody have any idea how I can resolve this problem.

This evening I can't even unlock the phone to get back to texts, etc. Very frustrated yet still "have hope". Okay, my daughter unlocked my phone just now. Is it that my hands are cold?... (Warm heart of course). Truly, there has to be another way to unlock this phone and/or answer calls when it's tempermental. Sliding the keyboard open doesn't work.

Great, but I still wanted to update my phone.The wifi isn't place specific either. i've tried over 10+ locations with wifi (various friends houses, etc.). The message i get is unable to start wifi. what gives?But, after the update, i need to log into motoblur for my phone to be of any use to me at all. Guess what, the wifi doesn't work and I don't have a data plan.So do i have to pay for a data plan just to get this expensive phone to start working again? don't tell me yes because i know this is a solution. however, i don't have the money for a data plan otherwise i would have one already. and no, i don't have the money to even subscribe to one month just so i can "activate" my phone when i've already paid for all those fees.
I've tried doing a hard reset by holding the camera button and power button while the phone was off, then pressing down on the volume key followed by alt L/W. After the reset, the wifi doesn't work. not that i expected it to.I've checked my warranty. it's up. I find it a little peeving that it happen to run out near the same time the wifi broke.any fixes? Because i don't like to spend $400+ on my paper weights when i can go outside and find a rock.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm having trouble deleting telnav gps from my cliq 2. I'm removing it because I use google maps, which is free and in my opinon much better. The problem I have is when I go to Settings>>manage remove apps>> and go to telnav the options to force stop and uninstall tabs are 'not selectable'. The only executable tab was clear cache..(which I did).
Furthermore it takes up 3.39 mbs that I could use elsewhere. I called tmobile to cancel the service and they did, but I can't remove the pesky app, because its still there each time I pull up my list of apps?
