I've had it for like a week and a half now, the volume goes up and down on its own, the backlight goes off every two seconds and the home button never works. I've tried everything.

This had been bugging me for 3 days now. I don't have another phone to use. I've tried to repair the software using Update Service but it do no good. After pressing the On button at the top of the phone, the phone will vibrate after a sec and then there's a backlight but the "Sony Ericson" logo does not appear and after about 6 seconds the backlight will fade.

I can see that everything else works, by using reflective light I can see enough to do some simple actions, like changing brightness settings, and accept the shutdown dialog.I have tried anything that I can think off; turning on and off automatic brightness, cold reset, and shutting down and restart.
There doesn't seem to be a hardware error. I managed to get it to work again for a while yesterday, but I haven't been able to repeat that today.
Does anyone have any idea on how to turn the backlight on?
Have just got my new X6 and its great except that i am having problems with my connection to my bluetooth car kit. It connects fine and has paired with it but it seems to disconnecting every 25 seconds or so and then reconnecting 25 seconds later. Its driving me bananas cos each time it does it the radio cuts out. If i am on a call it seems to keep connection. I fell i may have missed a setting somewhere but cant find anything about this.

This is yet another problem with my phone after i upgraded to Froyo. With Eclair, when i unlock my screen, the soft key (menu, home, return, search) backlight turns on and stay lit until the screen goes blank. Now once i unlock the screen, the soft keys backlight turns on and within few secs, it turns off, though i still work on the phone. its just like flickering in small intervals.

A backlight is on but you cant see whats going on the phone. the only thing you see is a black screen, but it is ON you can feel the vibration everytime is press the screen, i just cant see the screen. i dont know what to do and im unable to attend a store to fix it

The thing is that on this handset the three buttons on the front of the phone (the menu home and back buttons) are not back lit at all and do not flash when i receive a text or email.Have Orange basically given me another dodgy phone or is it something that I can remedy?

Well i usually turn the lights on in my room. This morning i did not as i unplugged the bionic the backlight light up dimly. I let it sit i finally got tired of testing it the backlight stayed on indefinitely. I let it sit 5 min still on i have to push power button to wake and again to lock. I'm having trouble with the phone disconnecting from the car once the phone has docked. The signal bars gradually fall away and the car asks if you want to re-connect. The manufacturers information (jaguar) states that the phone is compatible, but gives the version as 2.1. My phone is running 2.2.2, after updating a couple of months ago. My old Nokia 6300 connects every time and I can upload the contacts to the car's display.

This is fixed by disabling apps as something it searches for. Open the search app, press the menu button, select search settings, then searchable items, and uncheck the box next to Apps. Whatever causes apps to take forever to load when looking in the Apps section of the phone's settings also causes them to take an unreasonable time to load in Google's search app.
