Motorola Photon 4G :: How To Return To Stock Launcher
Jul 20, 2012Had some issues with the Dock icons at the bottom of the screen. Tried to solve the issue with Go Launcher EX. I want to return to the original Photon Launcher and get rid of Go Launcher EX. Go Launcher EX took over without asking if I wanted to use it over my stock launcher. Now this Go Launcher EX is a non-removable program.

Oct 6, 2011I was at the Texas State Fair this weekend, and a Verizon guy was trying to con my family into all these "deal." He did have a Bionic, which I managed to get to play with. It was not long before I concluded that the Bionic is way faster than the DROID3. And that's with livewallpapers on. I fired up the camera app, did some browsing on the browser, and nothing. No redraw, no lag.
Now, the launcher speed did improve with the update. But it is still not up to speed with Bionic, it will still redraw coming out of intensive apps, and Launcher Pro blows it out of the water in all but one area. Oh and I went through quite a few pages on the Bionic forums, and did a search for both "lag" and "redraw" and came up fairly empty. With live wallpapers on, Launcher Pro's app drawer drops frames. Live wallpapers doesn't seem to affect the stock launcher at all. Overall LP is faster, but not that one little area.
So when are we going to get some attention around here in Bionic soak test land???
Huawei Nexus 6P :: Stock Home Screen Icon Dimensions?
Jan 4, 2016So I enjoy doing a little theming as small projects. Currently, I am working on changing the app drawer button and animating it once it's pressed. I have the stock launcher decompiled (Velvet.apk) and have found the app drawer image therein that I need to modify/change. However, there are four of them listed and each with different sizes/dimension. The dimensions found were 84x84, 56x56, 112x112, and 168x168. Which one of those dimensions portray the actual size of the app drawer button on the home screen?
Side note, I have Xposed installed which modifies my framework. I was surprised I was able to install my framework-res.apk in Apktool and decompile the system app without issues. If I edit my velvet.apk and replace the stock one with my modified one will I encounter issues since Xposed is installed?

Jul 7, 2011I am looking for an alternative to the standard Motoblur homescreen/launcher. I have tried ADW Launcher and Launcher Pro, and am looking for some other options. I am mainly looking to add more then seven homescreens, either keep the standard motoblur look or switch to something that looks like stock Froyo/Gingerbread, have a 3D app drawrer, and keep my current homescreens (widgets, shortcuts, etc) in place, as both ADW and Launcher Pro have forced me to start from scratch. I would like something free (or at least with a free trial or free version) and I am not a root user.

Jun 3, 2012I'm on the latest official ICS 4.0.4. I was using the stock weather widget when using the stock Xperia Home Launcher. I just changed to Nova Launcher, which I find better than the stock launcher. However, now I find that I cannot access the Weather Widget from the Widget Menu. Most/all other widgets seem to be listed there, but the weather widget is missing!
Is there any way I can get this widget on Nova? I really liked that widget, and it seemed fairly accurate too. But I don't want to get back to the stock launcher just for it.
I know the stock Weather Widget is from Accuweather, but I am unable to find the same same widget on the Android Market. Screen showing 2 widgets in question below:

Jul 28, 2011Before the update, my gallery used to be able to sort by folders that I organized through computer. However, after the update it seems like the gallery put all my pictures in the same folder and can only be sorted by date, name, etc but not by folders.
Is there a way to display in folders with the stock gallery? I think the new gallery update is so inconvenient!

Since day one the app will link to the wrong message from the preview, either in the Universal Inbox, the Notifications, or the Text Messages list. A reboot of the device corrects the problem temporarily, but it always returns.

Was unable to get it to work but successfully set up the K9 app.With the new GB release I thought I would try the stock app again. Now I can send messages but can't receive any with the stock email app. I have my own web domain and pop3 email. Any ideas why this won't work with the stock app although it does work with the K9 app?

Apr 22, 2011Has anyone had any issues with the music player skipping about 30 seconds into any songs? Not just once but a few times while using. I run 25 to 30 miles a week and the music player is really getting annoying! I've tried 4 different sets of headphones and it's definitely not the headphones themselves maybe something internal. Also on my second phone here. The first one started randomly resetting itself, also had skipping issues. This one only has the skipping issues so far.

When moving from screen to screen the scroll effect moves the wallpaper sideways slightly and I was wondering what width it should be. I know the screen resolution is 1440 x 2560 so I'm assuming it should be wider than 1440, but by how much?
Also, how can I get live wallpapers on it? Do they require an app or can I just download a live wallpaper and load it using Nova?
