View 8 RepliesWhile my phone is locked, I say Hey Moto X, remind me, or make a calendar appointment, but it always wants me to unlock the phone before it will save it. From what I understand Google smart lock only works if the screen is already on or it is charging... Unlike moto which is always listening. So that's not really an option.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI got the notification for the Android 5.1 update. I started downloading it but I cancelled it while it was downloading because I remembered that my phone was close to dead. Now when I got back home, I go to System Updates in settings and it says my phone is up to date but the OS is 5.0.1 ....

View 3 Replies View RelatedI just updated to lollipop on my european moto x 2014 and then I tried the flashlight toggle, and it was working just fine. However after using the flashlight the camera doesnt work anymore. I just get a error message. Camera has unfortunately stopped. I have even flashed the stock kitkat firmware and it still wasnt working..
View 6 Replies View RelatedAfter the 5.0 update, I went to add my Moto 360 as a trusted device and when I went to the Smart Lock menu option under Security settings I was surprised that there wasn't a Smart Lock menu option in there.
This is right out of the release notes from motorola: "Android Lollipop adds native support for allowing trusted devices to keep your phone unlocked (such as your Moto 360, a Bluetooth car kit or headset, etc.). Smart Lock replaces the prior trusted device capability in your Motorola phone. Note that you will need to add your trusted devices back after the transition to Lollipop in the Security settings menu under Smart Lock."
Noticed this option missing when your Moto X 2014 was upgraded to Lollipop.
Just got the phone and I noticed that the front facing camera seems very choppy when moving the phone. Is this common? I knew going into it that the cameras weren't great, but just want to see if maybe there is something wrong.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI've been using the Google camera app on my phone which I love so far, the one thing I've noticed is that the shutter button taste of a third of the screen and its not see through either. Is there anyway to change this interface like the Motorola camera app where you can take pictures through it through the viewfinder? Honesty love the shutter speed of the Google camera app vs the stock camera app on the phone though.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI've noticed that when I swipe from the camera to the gallery app, the phone would sometimes kill background apps that should be kept running. Things such as Tasker, my live wallpaper (Muzei/3D Image) and my Battery Reborn notification shade all seem to go once I return to the home screen.

View 3 Replies View RelatedSo I understand Priority Notifications is the new 'silent' mode but I can't get it working so that it has the same functionality as older Android versions.
I've set all priority notifications (events / calls / messages) off and choose to turn on priority notifications indefinitely but each day it reverts back to 'all' so I have to remember to turn it on every day.
Also, when in an app (e.g WhatsApp) and a new message comes through, it still makes a noise even though it's in priority notifications mode!
Pre-Lollipop, I was able to have a different ringtone for each contact. This was set in the 'Contacts' app. I can't seem to see how to do this in Lollipop.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a Moto X 2nd gen, which I got yesterday, and I got the upgrade to lollipop. It seems like my heads up display only works when I have a call, but when I get a text, I don't get the heads up display, just a notification which forces me to leave the app I'm in to reply, rather than just replying right there with the heads up. I was wondering why this was happening?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI can't be the only one! Does your phone go off (active moto voice) randomly throughout the day, when you don't say your launch phrase? I sometimes I am in my car listening to music or out and about talking to other people when randomly moto voice activates itself. Sometimes I replay a song to see it it happens again and it doesn't. The worst part is, my phrase is "powers activate."

So basically anybody can read my messages because hangouts will just automatically log me in. How the hell do you stop it from automatically signing you in? Can't find anything in settings and I've tried going into apps and deleting the hangouts cache and hangouts data. But it still signs me straight back in. It won't even let me delete the app either.
