To use IMPORT option on PHOTOS app trying to start PHOTOS on desktop but it shows up and immediately disappears/crashes. Any clue how to find remedy for this?
I installed the Desktop Manager 5.0.1 off the CD that came with my new Blackberry Bold 9700, after first using Windows Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs to remove the Desktop Manager 4.6 that I had previously installed with my old device. After installation, upon starting up Desktop Manager 5.0.1, the message "Before you begin, verify that your current Blackberry device is connected to your computer" appeared. Upon connecting my device to the computer, DTM 5.0.1 immediately crashed, with the message "Blackberry Desktop Manager has encountered a problem and needs to close."I tried a clean uninstall (KB02206) and then a reinstall, with the same results.The file Desktop_ ERRORLOG.TXT at C:Program FilesResearch In MotionBlackberry reads : Desktop Mgr caused an Access Violation (0xc0000005)
View 3 Replies View RelatedModVer: 9.0.21022.8 Offset: 0006c955 This happens during 'organizer sync' after it has read through the device calendar and while (at the end of ?? ) reading through the lotus calendar. I'm running Lotus 8.0.2 FP 1 to make it worse, about half the time it leaves the device in a 'hung' or 'locked' state. The only way to return the handheld to operation is to remove/replace the battery, forcing a reboot.
View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen viewing a photo over around 950 KB in my applications, the iphone will attempt to open it, and then close. This means I can't "save" the photo, can't view the photo, and all I can see is the thumbnail. So my solution was to directly export the photo through the e-mail feature built into the app. It worked for the first photo I downloaded to my iphone, and I managed to successfully send the photo to me through e-mail. I can't view it on my iphone, but since I downloaded it, it was on my iphone so I could send it.
I downloaded more photos (they sent multiples), and the file size is now over 10 MB total and I can no longer e-mail the attachments to myself. The photos have to be somewhere on my iphone, but I don't know where. I don't want to view them on my iphone, I simply want to transfer them to my computer. I'm using an iPhone 3g and I have no idea where to access these photos, or where they're saved at in my iPhone.

Running ICS on Xoom Wifi. When creating a photo gallery widget, and selecting a single image, then go to crop, it seems to freeze the tablet on Saving Picture... prompt. Touching the controls icons won't do anything, just blank screen.I have to wait for a few, then the launcher freeze popup saying wait/report/stop. When creating photo gallery widget from album or shuffle, it works. It just doesn't work with single image. I think this is a bug, repeatable with any images.if I have space left, it says 28.11 GB free.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI am running Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit. Upgraded(?) Desktop Software to version 6.0.0.43 and now everytime I run the sync the program crashes. I get an error message that states "Blackberry Desktop Software has stopped working"... "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." Of course when I click "Close program" the program closes and I get no further assistance. I tried uninstalling 6 and reinstalling 5 and now I cannot sync in that version either (it had worked correctly for a year or so since I got the phone).
View 4 Replies View RelatedI had been having trouble with the Blackberry Desktop software crashing each time I closed it when I was done using it. This morning when I booted my computer I got an error message that said RoxWatchTray9 was unable to locate component. When I tried to close that box it attempted to install something but it just stalls. When I close try to cancel it just freezes. After while it tries to install again only to freeze again.
I figured the best solution would be to uninstall and reinstall the program but when I went into Add/Remove I discovered six listings for Blackberry Device Software for Blackberry 9530 smartphone, one for v5.0 and five for v4.7.0. I finally managed to uninstall the v5.0 at the top of the list but I can't remove the other five. I also can't reinstall the program. Roxio Media Manager continues attempting to force an install and is hogging my system resources.
This is the 2nd time I have to send my cellphone for repairs after been crashing basically since day 3.Last time I sendt it in, they just wiped the whole phone and did a ROM update, the same day I got the phone back it was crashing again.Paying 5.000 NOK for a phone that is just terrible is sad. Saddest part is that I bought 2, one for me and my gf, her phone crashes sometimes. while mine is just trash.all this makes me wonder if the HTC Sense 3.0 is broken?

I had to do a soft reset... The alarm that I set to wake me up never started... This means that I cannot trust my phone for waking me up in the morning! This is unacceptable!

I've unistalled Destop Manager, reverted back to 5.0.0 and I still have the same issue. This was and is currently setup with my Outlook 2003 (SP3) exchange server to forward my work emails, and it worked up until I updated to 5.0.1 last week.
I am confused on the file sizes/ reading many many reviews I keep reading about 16:9 photos at 30 plus MB, but for me so far my photos 16:9 are around 13-15 MB size? Maybe I got my Megapixels and MB confused. One photo is 7712 x 4352 =33 Megapixels , The JPG file size is 9.37 MB ....

I though I read that all that was rolled into a plugin for the photo's app called Microsoft Photos plug-in. It uses videos to take a picture, but on my Lumia 1520, I don't get the option for an action shot, just the option to take a single frame pic.

So when i zoom in they are with poor details. I have not found settings to change photo resolution and so i don't know how to take better photo.

This is not ok, my phone took the last photos both in landscape and portrait at 1280x720 / 720x1280 resolution. Sometimes the photos come in one orientation and other times they need to be rotated 90 degrees. I noticed that the camera takes far less time to 'add finishing touches' now, but I no longer have the ability to edit the exposure/light after I take the photo. That button never appears when I am looking at the photo afterwards? Rich capture is enabled.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've just recently got my 1020, I love it, I'm new to Windows Phone, I've been on iPhone since it's inception. When I take a photo on the 1020, and view it straight after, is it showing me the 41mp (or 34mp perhaps) version or the 5mp version? In settings it's set to take both 5mp and 34mp. But it seems as though the quality of the photos is quite low, especially when you zoom in a little! I'm still trying to work out if there's an improvement when I export it to the computer, maybe this is something to do with viewing it on the phone? I used the HD Photo Viewer app, I didn't notice a difference but maybe I will after a take more photos.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI had a 1020 before getting my 1520. On the 1020, I could snap a zoomed-in picture, and then unzoom it later to be able to see the surrounding stuff. In other words, the camera always saved the full image from the sensor, not just the part I was (digitally) zoomed into. I can't get this to work on my 1520, though. If I zoom in and take a photo, that's it; I can't unzoom it later. Am I missing a setting, or is unzooming only a feature on the 1020?

1. In the whatsapp application, when you choose "take a picture" in the attachment tab, the camera flash always light up for focusing even you inhibited in setting.
2. When using lumia camera, cant share photo via whatsapp in the pic review tab.
I have the lumia 1020 and I have upgrade to Windows phone 10.I wanna put some photos in favorites and in start screen..somehow one I can not put one specific photo in start screen even it is favorite.

Then OneDrive uploads of my photos stopped working a few days later and now I can't view existing photos on my phone because "there is no application installed for this file". Store update attempts generates error 0x80070019. I can still take and even email photos via File Explorer but I'd like to get the app working again.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm curious what others are using on their 1020s in Nokia Pro Camera for the Settings -> Pictures -> Aspect ratio. Do you use 16x9 or 4x3?
On one hand, the 4x3 pictures use more of the sensor's megapixels, but don't display well on the screen (which is 16x9). An additional crop is needed for the down sampled versions to look their best, but setting the camera to take photos that way that way just ends up feeling like throwing away pixels unnecessarily.
I want to delete the background photos/album. The only place I can see this album is through the lock screen setting. It will not let me delete the album or pictures.
