The update today started downloading at my phone (still at 0%) and the phone started to get really hot. When I looked at it, it said I had low storage and needed to make some space for the update. However, the storage shows I am only using 7 gigs of space, so I have plenty left.

View 4 Replies View RelatedThe volume warning that pops up when you are plugged into the headphone jack with the volume at 30. The fact that it automatically turns my volume down to 13 is maddening! And it does this at a seemingly random interval.
Any way to turn this super ridiculous "feature" off? It never fails that I'm listening to music, or a podcast, through my portable stereo plugged into the aux jack, and lets just say I was changing spark plugs in a Jeep (hypothetically speaking of course) and I couldn't get to the phone to turn it back up and dismiss the nanny message... Even if I had a set of headphones plugged in, who is Nokia to tell me at what level I can have the volume set?
I have a Lumia 1020 for about 11 months now and today it stopped charging. If I try to turn on the phone, I can see the low battery indicator. Then the phone will proceed to turn off after a few seconds. I have tried a soft reset by holding down power and volume down at the same time. I can feel a small vibration after 6 seconds of doing this, but otherwise nothing happens. I have tried 2 different chargers, as well as connecting to the USB in the computer.

Everything worked fine until i copied music and Video files from PC and old card. It happens that everything copied but on phone it doesn't appear anywhere except Music and Videos which are in Others and also the pictures.
I can access music files and videos through Players and also from file manager but i'm not able to see Pictures in Windows Photos but i can in File manager.
My Others folder is like 18+ GB. How do i make my wallpaper and old photos appear on phone ? Why MS is Dumb on this matter?

I was on build .0 and hard restetted, still same issue. I used the recovery tool to go to 1511 still same issue. I just changed the memory card of 8GB which I have been using recently with a 16GB ones. All of a sudden the mobile started acting weirdly. In spite of storing music and videos in the memory card in their respective places, its been stored under "others" and couldn't be played. But when I go to "Music & Videos" and click on any new, recent links, the videos and audios are played. This type of playing is taking all my memory away.Now I am left with no apps in my mobile but still with 0bytes internal memory.

I have a problem with my boss' Lumia 1520. Would love to import photos to 1520 and since every photos are categorized in folders, I just copied all the folders to Pictures folder in SD Card.
What happens next is that these photos don't show up in Photos App. I checked the Storage Sense, it said that there is no photos (0KB), and the size of all the folders I have copied before are shown in Other Storage (~4GBs)
What I have tried:
- Format the SD Card using Storage Sense, then put the SD Card inside the phone and connect it to PC, then moved the photos to the phone using USB Connection. Failed.
- Put the SD Card into my Transcend Card Reader, move the photos into the SD Card then put it again into the phone. Failed.
- Renaming the folders in Files App in Lumia, then check the Photos App whether it has shown up in the album section. Failed.
- Renaming the folders in Windows 7, then check the Photos App whether it has shown up in the album section. Failed.
- Fully format the SD Card using Windows 7, and move the photos to the SD Card and put it again into the phone. In progress: formatting the SD Card.
I purchased Nokia Lumia 1320 Two days back, it looks and work's very good. I happy the device is having good battery back-up comparing with Nokia Lumia 925.
But i can not able to install more apps on it. i Installed Sim city & Angry Birds GO games (Both are having around 1.5GB Size). .. after that it is started giving messages saying that to make some free space. even i am having a SD CARD of 16gb... But still it is saying the same thing.... like 925 device said.
It is very frustrating when you can't access to memory storage in Nokia Lumia 800 and even Can't transfer documents (PDF, Word Excel) to phone.I think Zune is the too fancy tools (software) to transfer and not user friendly.Probably move back to HTC as no point have a good graphic phone without having essential normal functions.

Recently I downloaded and installed the programms and all the maps for Nokia Here Drive (complete maps of Europe) and CoPilot GSP (with all Europe Maps). I hoped the maps where stored on the SD Card automatically but they are not. I now 'only' have, next to all installed apps, like 2,06GB internal storage space left. I know this could be enough but nonetheless I'm wondering if it is possible to store the maps of both applications on the external SD card rather than on phone storage and if the programms will still work correctly afterwards. On android devices i'm used to that it works like that. The navigation programm is installed on phone memory and the maps are simply stored on the external sd card.

Most of my MP3s vary a lot in volume so I discovered a program called MP3Gain to alter the playback levels so that they are more uniform. The only problem is that the Zune Software does not seem to recognise that the MP3 files have been altered in any way and therefore refuses to update my Lumia with the new, MP3Gained files! Is there any quick way to just update all the songs on my phone with the edited files automatically or do I have to delete all the songs and upload them manually?
