Lumia 950 :: Camera Indoor Quality - Photos Come Out Like Too Much HDR Applied
Dec 26, 2015
I have a strange situation with my camera results on my 950 when shooting indoors with artificial lightning. Photos come out like too much hdr was applied, like were darkened somehow although rich capture is off. I can see the photo looking fine but after a few secs the post processing is applying some sort of hdr or something that results in a worst looking picture.
I was just wondering, does your S5 has shaky camera too ? When im indoors and take photos, when i zoom in they are almost all blurry. And it was not so low lighted situation. It was pretty bright actually. Outdoors it seems fine but indoors it's has more noise then my S3. Is this normal ? And front camera is definitely better on S3.
Granted I have only begun playing with the camera and the many adjustable features, but already indoor shots seem to have an unnatural green hue. I have even shot pics (in my basement) using a professional camera light to simulate day light and still the picture colors are way off no matter what setting I use or adjustment is made. I guess it's just the result of being a "phone camera"? Nevertheless I was surprised that even professional lighting bulbs yielded little better than a fluorescent or tungsten bulb. How to get better indoor pictures without daylight?
I have HTC One M8 but when I take photo, the quality is like from 2 megapixel camera. I don't know where is the problem, is it software or hardware. I was looking in the camera settings to improve the quality but have not found anything similar. I've attached a picture taken with the phone to see the result.
I have taken a few photos with the 5800XM. However, I have noted that photos appear grainy.I have also tested the various settings on the camera with no joy.Can someone advice if it is an issue with the camera/phone quality of 5800XM?
When I take a photo and share it directly from the camera or photo app via email, the file size is always being reduced to ~300kb?
How can I send the original file (~1-2MB, the 5 megapixel version, not the 35 megapixel version...)
Also, isnt it better to use the windows camera app (smart cam), over the lumia pro cam, if you dont need the 35 megapixel raw pictures and if you are fine with the auto setting (no need for manual adjustments)?
- Any other reason for the lumia pro cam app? - How can I switch the camera button to start the smart cam app, not the pro cam app?
Post them! I want to see if they have the green spot on 4.1! I'm trying to figure out if there are ANY at ALL iPhones that do not have the damn green spot on indoor pictures!
I don't know what can be done but the white balance is off for indoor shots, they are more like a sunset color than ambient! Is there a way to adjust the white balance?
Anyway, sitting here in North Sweden and shooting some lowlight / indoor with C902 & K750i just for fun. I've never compared k750i & C902 indoor before, so I got surprised how similar they became.
The camera is beast when I click in shadows, night or other places. But when it comes to sunlight, it fails badly. I've tried multiple settings but it just don't work. Due to photo editing apps in Lumia. They are best editing apps & I'm able to correct them though it.
When I click a photo of someone in sunlight, it puts yellow tint all over him and everywhere else. Skin colour also changes to full yellowish.
I installed a new camera update on my 1020 the other day and I can no longer preview the photo immediately after taking the picture.
The only way to view it now is by checking it in the gallery. It was handy to preview the photo to check whether I needed to re-shoot it due to blurriness, blinking etc..
I've checked all the settings and I can't find an option to bring it back.
They are previewing in my skydrive upload folder, but not showing in my camera roll. When i take the photo it says "saving ..." but they're not. Tried both nokia cameras.
They're not uploading from skydrive despite being on WiFi. How I would save my holiday snaps.
The other day I attended a concert and took plenty of photos, but I had a hard time getting any of them to turn out good due to the low light, distance from the stage and the movement on stage. How does one take a good low-light photo with lots of movement without the photo getting blurry on the 1520?
i have noticed that, when im taking a Photo with SmartCam, and later im going to save my edited Photo. I can only save one edited Photo from the original file. How can i save 2 different edited Photos? When i go back and i want to edit/save another Photo from the original file, it always overwrites the last saved/edited Photo.
When i take a Photo and i edit it, for example i zoom into a area, and save that zoomed part, it always replace the last edited Photo from the original file.
Strange bug after Nokia Camera update. All the pictures I took in the weekend seemingly disappeared from my Camera roll album. However, when I connected my phone to the PC, they all showed up on the phone's HD.
Today when out golfing I tried taking some smart cam photos and noticed after taking a couple in a row I couldn't go back and open them in Nokia camera to change the picture. Doesn't happen all the time but twice today I couldn't edit the photo.
It makes no difference which Nokia "Camera" I use. The photos all turn out with a strong lime green tint. I've tried three 1020s now and am about to give up. I took a picture of friends in their living room, which was cream with neutral earth tone colors. It came out green on green. I took another of friends in a sand beige painted classroom. The walls came out a sickly lime green.
The only commonality in both situations was that one person in each grouping was wearing lime green, so I went back to the classroom to try again. With the classroom empty, the photo still came out lime green.
I have problem, when i take picture its clear and good resolution, but when i transfer picture to my computer photo is blury and its looks like bad quality.
When a friend of mine sends me a group of photos, as in get like 5 - 10 pictures in a single message, the quality or size of each picture is reduced. On my Message app the size is reduced to about 1/6 of its original size. On Go SMS Pro, the size stays the same but the picture are blurry. At first I thought this was something caused by texting Apple / iPhone users but it also happens when I get pictures from other androids. Also if I send pictures after a certain number at once, when I check preview the size of a picture gets smaller.
I've been on numerous forums and I've asked the Facebook community and even tried tech support with Samsung, all to no avail.
So here's my issue: - Photos taken with the Galaxy S5 are a brilliant 5312x2988px in resolution. - Uploading pictures with the Facebook app on my S5 makes the 5312x2988px pictures 960x540px on facebook. - Uploading pictures with my previous Android device with an 8 megapixel camera were uploaded as 2048x1154px, much higher than the S5.
I can't seem to find any settings anywhere that are causing my high definition pictures to upload at a much worse quality to facebook. I don't expect to get full resolution, but I expect to at least be able to achieve the same upload resolution that my previous phone was getting.
I'm at the point where I don't even want to upload photos to facebook anymore because the quality is so bad compared to the original photo I took.
Heavy rain when we were traveling on the hills. After returning from the trip I found that my m8's has lost its quality. Now it is shooting very poor quality picture.
What do you think is the best thing in samsung cells which any other mobile making company doesn't offer? For me i guess its the camera quality which is awesome, If you compared two equal megapixels camera of samsung and any other company phone you can clearly tell the difference...
My iPhone 4s has suddenly changed to a really poor picture quality, today i compared it with my friend's iPhone 4s and the difference was astonishing. My iPhone takes quite blurry pictures. I was just wondering if there were any ways of cleaning it or anything that i could do to get the picture quality back to what it used to be.. I reckon it would be a hardware related issue, seeing as i have just updated to the latest software and i have tried resetting the phone but i am still having these issues.
My Photos application is having problem. Whenever i take a photo with the camera (front or back), pictures are clear in this application when previewed.
But when i take a screenshot in the phone or import a image in the phone, then preview those images or screenshots in the Photos application, it is not clear.
Also, I tried clicking the "settings" button on the top right in the Photos application, nothing is appearing.
