I have problem with Viber on my 1020.When i exit the app or press home to close it i can't receive calls anymore, ppl say that my status is offline, and even when i open the app my phone is not ringing when my friend is calling me.And then after few seconds or minutes i get info about missed call(s).It's totally messed up because sometimes its ringing but only when Viber is opened i think.
View 21 RepliesI just realized, while commenting on another thread, that I am no longer tied up by wires. Ever since I switched to L920 (and now 1020) and Windows 8 - since Zune has become useless - I've found myself going wireless (including charging). I think I've used Windows Phone Connector, or whatever its called once, and I completely forgot about it. We can now update/upgrade software via cellular radio, and sync our files to the cloud (Skydrive and ATT) and access them from any device. Hell even my music (Xbox Music) that was stored on my broken laptop just appeared on my new laptop and on my new phone without me even lifting a finger.
Yes, I know we still need it for times when we don't have internet access, but I can't remember the last time I did not have internet access. I just find it so much more liberating.
I decided to reboot my phone because the battery seemed to be running lower than normal, now there's no display at all and I don't know if it has broken. When it's plugged into the computer it is still recognized, but theres no display.

Now the Camera Roll folder is not visible anymore on the PC. I see all other folders (Sampe Pictures, Saved Pictures, Screenshots) in Pictures folder and all of content of those folders, also I'm able to modify it (copy, delete, rename etc.), but the folder Camera Roll is missing, also in the properties of Pictures folder the information about Camera Roll folder and s content is missing (the number of files in this folder doesn't shows up in counting: 3 folders and 84 files instead of 4 folders and 800 files).​ Also re-connecting the phone and the cable after shutting down the phone and turning it on automatically by connecting it by USB cable to PC ​This is an exact copy from Camera Roll folder of my Lumia 1020 is not visible anymore on a PC - Microsoft Community .

It happen to my friend Lumia 1020 as well but maybe 2 times and 1 year old as well. I am on 2G 99% of the time, can't figure out what is the problem.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a nokia 1020 which connects to my bluetooth carkit.My contacts and incoming calls work fine.But when I try to make outgoing calls, I can select a contact on my carkit, but to call them, I have to select them on my phone.This happens when the phone is locked (glance screen is on/off).When my phone is unlocked, it works fine. So seems that the lock-screen prevents my carkit from making outgoing calls.Is this some setting in my phone or what am I doing wrong?

View 2 Replies View RelatedOk I have a new problem which I think was caused by me accidentally deleting my email live tile I could not find how to replace the tile it was only tonight that I realised that it was listed as linked inbox!
anyway the only way I could see to replace the tile was to remove and add my email accounts.
Now when I get a call I get the incoming number but not the name and if I look in the call history there is just the number, when I look later it has the name displayed.
Why the names are not being displayed, I am tempted to do a full reset but my 920 bricked when I did it and it is not back from repair yet so I am scarred to do it on my 1020.
How do I get my Lumia 1020 to display the name and company of the contact who is calling me? I have more than 1500 contacts for whom the company name is meticulously filled. Many names are duplicates, and I can distinguish between them only when I can see the company name as well. In my old blackberry, the contact name and company name used to be displayed. In my old android, there was an app which could do this.

Everything was fine with my previous phone, and everything is fine as I drive away from work. It's almost as if my phone isn't compatible with certain signal masts or something??
this has happened since I had the phone, but due to annoying shift patterns we couldnt take the phone back to be exchanged. The phone has just been repaired for a broken screen (glass, not LCD) and the software updated, so I had high hopes that this would be fixed, but it still wont receive calls & texts unless on charge.

Some are important. Now, this mainly happens when I am at home. I went to Phones4u when I got it from and they said 'oh its your signal'. But I checked my signal online through Vodafone... guess what? My phone can recieve calls and text messages. My mum has an Blackberry and she can recieve incoming calls, she lives in the same house as me.I just do not get it. Is there something wrong with the phone? Is it the signal? I can also make and receive calls, but the phonebook will not sync with the car. With my iPhone I used to be able to put the phone number with three commas and then the passcode to the conference call in the meeting request (format = 555-555-5555,,,12121212#). By using this format my customers could just click the link in their iPhone and it would auto-dial the conference number along with the passcode so that they did not have to remember the passcode while driving.
Example: 555-555-5555,,,12121212#. (autohyperlink for iOS)
VS
555-555-5555 Passcode 12121212 then press # (caller can hyperlink the phone number but has to remember the passcode and dial it while driving...)
By using this format you could just click the number and it would dial the number pause then auto add the passcode and # to enter the conference call. I think Blackberry used to use a similar format to achieve the same thing.

There are times when I can't make or receive calls or send or receive texts.When I attempt to make a call, it never rings and when I try to end these calls, it doesn't register that the call has ended. People receive these calls but when they answer, there is silence. If people call me, I don't get any notification of this.
When I send texts, the loading bar at the top of the page never reaches the end - the same things happens: people receive the texts but when they reply it never reaches me.I have replaced the phone and it did t make a difference. I am with Vodafone and I'm always in full reception when this happens.When I connect to wifi, the text messages (but not missed calls) come through.

I have an iPhone with sprint, and it has worked more than amazingly prior to this. It wasn't until last night around 12am that this started. I have had the phone for 4 to 5 months now. The bars in the top left are flat and occasionally one will pop up. I can t make calls and texts are slow to or just don't send at all. I was messing around on my download app in the browser and it closed and then thu problem arises. I have deleted the app even turned on and off my phone several times and turned airplane mode on and off several times. Please help:/ this is not an issue with location, and everytime I make calls it just says "calling mobile..."

I used to be able to receive voice notes and pics before I upgraded, however, now I cannot. People recieve my voice notes and pics, but I cannot recieve theirs. A contact keeps trying to send me pics and voice notes and keeps getting the same message everytime she tries. the message tells her "xxx Unable to save file" xxx is me. I dont get it.

The instruction stated that I needed to launch the Setup Wizard and click on the Email Accounts icon and then select the "Internet mail Account" icon to verify my password. I follow the instructions but, when I click on the "Internet mail Account" icon nothing happens and my only available option is "return to Setup".
