I'm having this weird link in my app list. It links to downloads in the store.How can I get rid of it?I'm not downloading or updating apps and I neither have any updates available. I can't just delete it, I only have the option to pin it.

A few months ago, I dropped my phone (the day before my case came in the mail, of course) and the screen went fuzzy, much like an old box tv for several minutes, then rebooted several times before catching up to itself. I'm not sure what on earth happened because of this drop, but since then I have had a huge amount of issues.
First- I cannot complete certain updates on my phone, including some system updates such as for "extras+info" and "Lumia Camera". I get the error code 80070539 on these failed updates, but I do not believe that is the real reason these apps will not update. One method I used to fix this was to make sure I accepted updated terms and conditions for Microsoft, which completed some updates, but I still have several left waiting.
Second- Several apps and processes just do not work at all. Example: settings>applications>photos+camera the screen begins to flip over to the photos+camera menu, then abruptly stops before returning to the applications menu. This exact scenario happens to several other processes throughout the phone, including the calendar app, adding new emails and accounts, etc.
Third- I cannot backup my phone. This is a major problem as I have an abundance of files that I desperately need on my phone, but whenever I attempt to backup my phone, it may make it up to 97% maximum before it says the backup failed. This is the primary reason I haven't attempted a hard reset yet, and I would prefer to avoid doing a hard reset unless we can manage to fix at least the backup issue.
Fourth- My computer will not recognize my phone. I am running a laptop with Windows 8.1, all my drivers are up-to-date, I've uninstalled/reinstalled drivers, etc. but the computer doesn't even recognize that I plug the phone in, even though my phone still charges at a normal rate. I have also tried different computers and different cables. Nothing has proven useful. There is not a place in my computer that I can find a trace of detection of my phone, not under devices/drives/anything.
I will try just about anything that doesn't involve losing all of my data.
I want to send a company phone from an x employee to a new hire and want to clean the contact list out first...
View 1 Replies View RelatedThere doesn't seem to be any way I can see to clear the downloads list in the browser? It appears the only way to do it is to delete or move the file then go to the downloads list and try to open it. When the Browser can't find it, it will ask to delete the link.
View 5 Replies View Relatedi am an e7 user. I was recently downloading a couple of videos at the same time when my phone hanged and had to be restarted. When it did restart, most of the files had to be redownloaded. All except one. The downloads list claims that the file has been saved. The video plays bt isnt completely downloaded.The problem now is that i cant delete the video through the file manager. The error msg says web:already in use.. When i tried deleting the file from the downloads list of the web browser, there was a similar msg.

Works fine on mobile network and browsing the web on WiFi works normally too, it's just downloading apps that's slow. Just reset my phone to fix my GPS (which seems to work now), at this rate it'll be a long time before my apps are downloaded again.

I activated my insider on the phone. It showed the update. So I updated the phone. NICE!!!!!! I thought. My laptop, on wifi is about 30gb/sec download. My phone? about 500kbps/sec down.
I just got a Lumia 950, set up all my accounts, added Skype, and now my Skype messages show up in the app AND in my Messaging hub. I wouldn't mind, but now I'm getting Messaging alerts AND Skype alerts that I have new messages when I receive a Skype message. I did find a setting in Skype that turns off the messaging alerts for Skype messages, but they're still showing up, even when I'm using Skype on my PC. In two hours of work this morning this has gone past confusing to the point of being annoying.

I don't want to do the traditional invite to an event thing - just have the contact info there in my calendar.
My dream of dreams is being able to long click a contact and have an option in dropdown for add to calendar or some such - so that I have everything there - phone map etc..

I hit yes and says no app available and takes me back to the post. When I install the App from the app store, it's free, it appears to install, but cant access it.

View 1 Replies View RelatedLately, I've been getting a fair number of corrupted DNG files in my Lumia 1020 - I mean, I guess they're corrupted, since when I import them to Lightroom, the program states it can't open or edit them.
Curiously, the 5 mpx are fine.. When I check the size of the DNGs, I can see that they have, exactly, 1 byte less, in size, than the DNGs that Lightroom can edit.
On my N8 and 808 I would just hold down the slide unlock. I did some searches but can't find out how to do it on the 1020. Do i need to get an app?

I had been listening to music on my way to work this morning, put the phone down on the table, and no more than an hour later the phone was off. I tried powering it up, but nothing happens, nothing appears on the screen, no startup vibration, etc. The phone had a full charge before work. I know if there is a batteryproblem, the phone will display a red battery picture, but this has not happened.

Pictures often look very yellow on the screen, though the same pictures look more accurate when viewed on other devices. It seems to me that a phone focused on taking pictures should have a screen that has more accurate colours.
View 10 Replies View RelatedWhen I leave the phone sitting for a few minutes it drops from H+ to H meaning I can't access the internet on IE or receive Whatsapp messages. If I toggle flight mode on and off or restart the phone it works fine for maybe 10 minutes or so.
I have network selected manually, I have tried automatic selection, it makes no difference. I also have 3G set as the highest connection speed. I upgraded to WP8.1 last week but have had no issues until now.
I am at my wits end trying to work out how to back up the RAW files from the Nokia 1020 to an external hard drive.
When I use the windows phone app on my Mac computer it always converts it to a jpeg file. Even if I drag the file to the desktop.
When I copy it to iPhoto, then try and export the original Raw file it exports a jpeg. Even if I tell it to export original.
It appears that iPhoto is using the RAW file becasue there is no jpeg written at the end of the file name, plus the file looks smooth when enlarged in iPhoto
Just got my 1020 and set it up for both my Hotmail (Live) account and work (iMap). My problem is my Live account calendar shows but not my work one. As I don't use my personal calendar at all but do use my work one all the time it's a bit of a problem.how I get tit to sync to my work calendar?

And recently a small problem started occur,some times when she shall recharge the phone ( no matter if it's though the computer or wall socket ), the camera starts by it self and start taking photos.The phone continuous to take photos until we unplug the cable, it don't work that we turn of the camera app, it just start over again, and continuous to take photos.

I am hoping that we could essentially take pictures (away from our computers and cables) and just delete the photos to make room on the phones (knowing that they are safely backed up on OneDrive).
Have tried to look this up, but can't find anything.
