Just got my 1020 after 5 years on the iPhone and it's amazing so far... Anyways,phone making a physical click when pressing the back or windows button? It almost feels as though the lens is clicking or something. I hope I don't have a defective phone!!!!

View 2 Replies View RelatedI got my 1020 last week (Disclaimer: AT&T employee in a corporate store). It's great, except that I have to have my phone PIN locked. With the addition of the Nokia camera software and it being the default, I have to unlock my phone before it goes into the camera. If I switch the button to the standard WP camera app, I can take photos while unlocked.
View 4 Replies View RelatedEver since I got my 1020 a few weeks ago, there has been a problem where it will start ghost clicking/switching menus on its own. This can happen for several seconds or sometimes won't stop until you power the screen off. Sometimes it will get to the phone menu and call people on its own which is a big problem. There doesn't seem to be any pattern to it and happens several times a day.
I bought the phone 'like new', so there is no warranty obviously. I don't think it had ever been used before however because there were zero marks/scratches and it was totally spotless when I received it, so it can't be misuse from the previous owner.
My lumia 900, 3 navigation buttons at the bottom of screen have stooped working that's the back arrow,windows start button, search button making the phone unusable have reset phone to factory setting still the same?
View 2 Replies View Relatedwhere the capacitive button LEDs seem to randomly turn on/off, or don't turn on in the dark, or seem to flicker for no apparent reason? We had the same issue with our 1020. It appears to be directly related to battery saver mode in settings. When we turn battery saver off, the LEDs seem to work perfectly. When battery saver is on, we experience all the above strange issues. We also have a 920, and battery saver mode does not affect the LEDs on the 920 at all, hence why we're hesitant to say with100% authority that this is the issue with the 1020.
View 10 Replies View RelatedYesterday I did the most recent developers update on my ATT Nokia Lumia 1020. I have had absolutely zero problems with the phone at all since day one. Today while checking emails my phone screen flickered and then went to something that appears to be the "snow" that you see on televisions when they had no signal. In the "snow" there are 4 lighter bars and 4 darker ones running vertically.
I also am unable to do a hard reset or soft reset.
I found others who have the same screen issue, but they have been able to fix it with either a soft or hard reset. I unfortunately cannot do that, as the buttons seem to have also become unresponsive. After about 2 minutes the screen will go black, and then after about 2 seconds come back on by itself with the same issue present.
for a few days the lumia camera isnt opening..all the other camera apps like proshot is working though..even the camera key isnt opening it after pressing..

I got a Lumia 1020 a few days ago, and have noticed the lights of the 3 buttons at the button aren't working. I can't remember having seen them glow. Even last night, the didn't seen to be working in the dark.
I am currently using DP, could that be the reason?
I love my htc one m8 but since I have received the phone 2 weeks ago there has been an error. For example, just today I tried typing a message to my mom and out of nowhere the x, s and z buttons just keep pressing. The phone will allow me to delete the letters sometimes and other times it will just freeze. It is very annoying.

Always put it down to software, but the last few months it got to the point where I couldn't even accept a call by pressing the screen/buttons. The screen also had a dark streak down the left side. So, I took it to the Carphonewarehouse, obviously under warrenty and was sent to Nokia for repair.
the silver trim has been half scraped off on the buttons and keyboard trim AND the screen has a 1cm bright spot in the middle of it. I am FURIOUS...............1/ because it took 23 to fix when all they did is replace it. 2/ because they've sent me a second hand phone 3/ that the 'new' phone is worse condition than the one I sent in!! They didn't even bother to put the latest firmware on it!!
CPW didn't offer me the returns receipt either, i had to ask for it, but that's a CPW issue. Actual fault found (as recorded by engineer): Faulty applications on the handset when purchased. As i've always updated the firmware I can only conclude this faulty software cannot be fixed by the firmware update, and the handset must be replaced as mine was. Other phones must be suffering the same problem.......
I have an old Curve 8520 which I only just recently updated to OS 5. Like the title says, my device "locks up" after a while of not pressing any buttons, even when I'm using the scroll pad. The thing is, I would still be able to scroll around the screen with the scroll pad but will not be able to select anything or type any letters. The phone doesn't totally freeze though as I can "unlock" it by pressing and holding the power button for about a second in which case it goes to the home screen and interrupts whatever I was doing.
I dust discovered pressing and holding ANY button "unlocks" the phone.
A few days ago my phone just suddenly started pressing buttons on its own and ignoring my button presses. Turning off the screen and turning it back on again fixes it temporarily, but within just a few seconds it will often continue again.
Is this a virus? Or is my phone broken? Nothing happened to cause it to break.
an inspirational site about Symbian I have City Lens up and running on my Belle Refresh E6 - at least it looks like it. My question is, however, is the data for City Lens downloaded by my phone on the fly - i.e. should the up-to-date info be available as soon as it's posted?
I live in a small town in Denmark that is extremely popular with foreign tourists, and a good few of our bars, restaurants and cafes have either changed ownership/name or closed. None of the new places are on City Lens, whereas most of the old ones still are (several closed more than 18 months ago).
First I Thought its normal because i had this thing since day one ... and then i was browsing the forums yesterday and saw someone had the same problem and after replacing the problem wasn't there anymore... so i'm worried now... Lemme know if its the problem i can talk to rogers and get my phone replaced... if its normal i guess i can live with it....

When ever i pressed the Green / red or BB Button or Back Button the crystals on LCD Moves... the same way when someone put pressure on the Screen....
I have a problem while watching videos on YouTube or so.. When I use the up and down volume buttons, the video pauses for no reason and I find it so annoying.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSince upating the software on my BB Tour 9630, I am often unable to click on links and web buttons in the browser (or during games like the pre-installed Texas Hold Em poker). Often I'll have to click a link/button 2 or 3 times (or I'll need to click "menu" then "open link" while the cursor is on the link). This is NOT problem with the roller ball it's the software and I never experienced this prior to the update. I've read suggestions on other boards to remove the battery for 30 seconds and then re-install it, but that hasn't help.

When I go into the volume settings I turn it all the way up and I still don't hear anything except the ringtones. Only ringtones. I can't play my games or watch videos like this. This is my first post to this forum and i am really hoping for some help. I have a Nokia 5800 Xpress Music Phone. It is about 7 months old and has developed a really annoying and frustrating fault over the past few days - progressively no getting worse by the hour it would seem. The phone freezes after receiving a text, phone call, internet usage or just generally pressing one of the function buttons. Some times if you wait long enough it does free itself but more often than not it will end up me removing the battery to reset the handset. Nothing appears to work properly on it anymore - the battery appears to drain within hours of charge. Really fed up with it now. Carphone Warehouse and Orange are blamming each other ( no change there). Yes i can take it to a repair centre who will either do it on site ro send away. I have completed a soft reset but has made no difference. I am now tempted to do a complete hard reset once backing up my contents etc
View 10 Replies View Relatedso here's my problem. i went over to a friends house today for a barbecue, and when i got there i sent a text so i know everything was working fine. a few hours later i get home and notice that the screen on my Curve is black, and i knew something was up because i know it was fully charged before i left the house earlier. hit the buttons and nothing. so i do a battery pull and it reboots fine, then the screen goes black after 30 seconds and then hit the buttons and nothing. when i hook a mini usb cable up to the port, the screen comes back on for the usual 30 seconds, then goes black like the other times. when i connected it via the cable and the screen lit up, i noticed that the trackball scrolls fine left and right, but pushing the trackball does nothing.the phone is about a year and a half old, through Verizon. i have no problem with getting a new phone, but i don't want to loose the 150 or so contacts i have on the phone. i don't have Google Sync installed on the phone, and i'm guessing that it's too late to back anything up now on my end. when i connect it to my PC, i can access the usually Media folders and Slacker, but nothing else. if i take it into a local VZW store, would they be able to back up my address book the exact way it is now, since the phone powers on and the USB port works fine?i'm going to remove the shell tonight and see if i notice anything.

So i tried to update and it would stop midway with an error, now my len's icon which has the white building is now black and doesnt work. When i try to download, it goes halfway and wont fully dl or install. I can not use any longer. The weird thing is that it is still in my app list, when i try to remove, the uninstall option is grayed out, so its just sitting there.

View 7 Replies View RelatedFrom time to time I encounter such a problem that navigation buttons disappears completely and there is only black bar on the bottom.
Last time it happened when I closed a game, nothing was there on the bottom, unable to click it. The only solution was to restart the phone or simply drop-down the top menu bar and then the buttons appeared again.

I have to start by saying I absolutely love my Razr (xt910) but I seem to have run into a bit of a problem. Two of the four navigation buttons on the bottom of the phone, the Menu and Home buttons, stopped lighting up all of a sudden! The actual buttons themselves work fine, but as stated, do not light up, leaving only the right two lit, giving the razr a strange appearance to say the least. I have done a factory reset (twice) but both times it failed to make a difference, leading me to believe that whatever powers the lights for those buttons no longer works. Is this a common problem? Does anyone know how or if this is possible to fix? My Razr is still under warranty.
View 4 Replies View Relatedi've been noticing that while I'm on apps such as Facebook or Instagram that my phone will start clicking on people's profiles, liking posts, or clicking links unprovoked. I thought maybe it was a problem with the apps, but I started noticing it happening whike sending a text the phone will click on suggested words by itself, and even if I'm just on the home screen apps will open on their own.
