For whatever reason, hardly any of my apps will open. If I uninstall, they won't reinstall. Says attention required and to check the phone for an update. This started after updating access point and network.
View 2 RepliesI suspect the Lumia BLACK update messed my 1020 up. I'd like to downgrade to Amber if thats possible.If i understand correctly, UPGRADING to 8.1 will not fix anything hardware related since its only a SOFTWARE update, not a firmware update.
Reloading Lumia BLACK reloads the SAME firmware so the issue persists.
Loading AMBER would load a different firmware, which might revert the hardware to pre-problem state.I have followed all the tutorials to set up the programs for loading software/firmware, i just cant seem to find a copy of the Amber firmware.
Will like to check what are the photo-editing programs (free to download from the net) that you will recommend if you will like to do some post-processing of the full size image at 38MP via desktop/laptop.

View 3 Replies View RelatedA few months ago, I dropped my phone (the day before my case came in the mail, of course) and the screen went fuzzy, much like an old box tv for several minutes, then rebooted several times before catching up to itself. I'm not sure what on earth happened because of this drop, but since then I have had a huge amount of issues.
First- I cannot complete certain updates on my phone, including some system updates such as for "extras+info" and "Lumia Camera". I get the error code 80070539 on these failed updates, but I do not believe that is the real reason these apps will not update. One method I used to fix this was to make sure I accepted updated terms and conditions for Microsoft, which completed some updates, but I still have several left waiting.
Second- Several apps and processes just do not work at all. Example: settings>applications>photos+camera the screen begins to flip over to the photos+camera menu, then abruptly stops before returning to the applications menu. This exact scenario happens to several other processes throughout the phone, including the calendar app, adding new emails and accounts, etc.
Third- I cannot backup my phone. This is a major problem as I have an abundance of files that I desperately need on my phone, but whenever I attempt to backup my phone, it may make it up to 97% maximum before it says the backup failed. This is the primary reason I haven't attempted a hard reset yet, and I would prefer to avoid doing a hard reset unless we can manage to fix at least the backup issue.
Fourth- My computer will not recognize my phone. I am running a laptop with Windows 8.1, all my drivers are up-to-date, I've uninstalled/reinstalled drivers, etc. but the computer doesn't even recognize that I plug the phone in, even though my phone still charges at a normal rate. I have also tried different computers and different cables. Nothing has proven useful. There is not a place in my computer that I can find a trace of detection of my phone, not under devices/drives/anything.
I will try just about anything that doesn't involve losing all of my data.
I have a nokia C7 and a few daysago I made last updated Nokia Belle. So far so good, if not by mistake, I used the programand I tampered Xplore sis and in folders that you are confused. As soon as the phone hasproblems, I thought the hard reset would fix it and in part it was so, it was not for the fact that I can not access programs: Nokia store, Nokia maps, Shazam, Traveler, F -Secure, social, and probably others. I tried uninstalling Nokia store, but when I delete / uninstall nothing happens. Furthermore, the application screen is installed, all the others that work well are displayed with a red icon, while stores, social etc

First its my biggest problem I can not open camera !!! when I press the camera nothing happens.when I check the running programs its seems its working but its not this is annoying.I reset my factory settings it worked for a few days and its gone again.I formatted the phone it worked for a few days and gone again..And my other problem I can't create my own profile.I think its a software problem and I bagging you to fix it.I can't take this anymore I bought 5320 before it failed at everything I gave it back.If this problem will not solve I promise I'll not use nokia anymore.
today i tried to use my camera and i got an error message. Message told me that the camera was unable to open and to close any programs that are open before i try again. The only programs that are open are the necessary ones.

Next is when you take picture. When u go to photo albums. You see a link below saying open in Nokia camera. How come pics have that link and others don't? I took some smartcam pics too look at later and can't open it up and do the action shots and other stuff.
I have problem on my 1020 that I don't get almost any notification on 3g but on WiFi everything works fine.

I hit yes and says no app available and takes me back to the post. When I install the App from the app store, it's free, it appears to install, but cant access it.

View 1 Replies View RelatedLately, I've been getting a fair number of corrupted DNG files in my Lumia 1020 - I mean, I guess they're corrupted, since when I import them to Lightroom, the program states it can't open or edit them.
Curiously, the 5 mpx are fine.. When I check the size of the DNGs, I can see that they have, exactly, 1 byte less, in size, than the DNGs that Lightroom can edit.
On my N8 and 808 I would just hold down the slide unlock. I did some searches but can't find out how to do it on the 1020. Do i need to get an app?

I had been listening to music on my way to work this morning, put the phone down on the table, and no more than an hour later the phone was off. I tried powering it up, but nothing happens, nothing appears on the screen, no startup vibration, etc. The phone had a full charge before work. I know if there is a batteryproblem, the phone will display a red battery picture, but this has not happened.

Pictures often look very yellow on the screen, though the same pictures look more accurate when viewed on other devices. It seems to me that a phone focused on taking pictures should have a screen that has more accurate colours.
View 10 Replies View RelatedWhen I leave the phone sitting for a few minutes it drops from H+ to H meaning I can't access the internet on IE or receive Whatsapp messages. If I toggle flight mode on and off or restart the phone it works fine for maybe 10 minutes or so.
I have network selected manually, I have tried automatic selection, it makes no difference. I also have 3G set as the highest connection speed. I upgraded to WP8.1 last week but have had no issues until now.
I am at my wits end trying to work out how to back up the RAW files from the Nokia 1020 to an external hard drive.
When I use the windows phone app on my Mac computer it always converts it to a jpeg file. Even if I drag the file to the desktop.
When I copy it to iPhoto, then try and export the original Raw file it exports a jpeg. Even if I tell it to export original.
It appears that iPhoto is using the RAW file becasue there is no jpeg written at the end of the file name, plus the file looks smooth when enlarged in iPhoto
Just got my 1020 and set it up for both my Hotmail (Live) account and work (iMap). My problem is my Live account calendar shows but not my work one. As I don't use my personal calendar at all but do use my work one all the time it's a bit of a problem.how I get tit to sync to my work calendar?

And recently a small problem started occur,some times when she shall recharge the phone ( no matter if it's though the computer or wall socket ), the camera starts by it self and start taking photos.The phone continuous to take photos until we unplug the cable, it don't work that we turn of the camera app, it just start over again, and continuous to take photos.
