IPhone :: Did A Factory Restore, Icloud Didn't Restore My Songs And Apps
May 23, 2012I switched iphones today with a friend of mine. I made sure that I had backed up everything to my computer AND iCloud before doing the trade. Did it, everything set up fine. Restored through iTunes and then turned on. I still had my email, texts, call logs, contacts and notes. But all my apps and songs are gone. How do i get them back?

Jul 29, 2010I inadvertently backed up my iPod Touch 3G which ended up being a blessing because it actually died due to water damage. When I get my new iP4 I want to restore from that iPod Touch backup because it has many apps I use for studying including the settings which I definitely need. Is there a way to restore just the apps? How would/could I restore at least the one app with data that I really need?

May 3, 2012I finally updated my iPhone to 5.1. I waited so long because of the fiasco updating my iPod Touch when 5.0 first came out. I thought it worked, I was pleased Apple worked out the bugs. Lo and behold, all of my apps and folders disappeared before my eyes. No problem I thought, I did a back up. Restore from back up. Fifteen minutes later, it looks exactly the same. Isn't a backup supposed to be of everything on the system so that if something goes wrong, you just revert back to the back up and either try again or wait for the process to be fixed? Seriously, get your stuff together.

Jan 4, 2013I have gotten my phone back from repair, and it is now empty. Before I sent it, I backed up the SMS messages using the stock messages app. I stored the file on dropbox. Now, I am trying to restore the messages. So, I go to dropbox, and export the file to the SD Card in the phone. However, no matter where on the SD card I store the file, the messages app cannot find it to restore.

Sep 3, 2015I updated my rooted 32 gb nexus 5 to the latest 5.1.1. It was not easy and I ran into all sorts of hiccups that left me phoneless for a couple of days.My wife also has a rooted 32 gb nexus 5 and needs to upgrade. I don't want to go through all the headaches I had with mine, so, can I safely transfer my android to her sd card and just restore it on hers? Will that work? Or is there something that is unique in each nexus 5 phone and android?

I performed a Software Repair via Sony PC Companion. The Sony PC Companion said it completed the repair and to allow the phone to restart. It stated that it would take awhile to restart, but did not state how long. After restart the screen remained on a white splash screen. After about 3.5 hours, I performed a forced restart. This brought it back to the optimizing apps screens originally seen.
