I have never had problems with Google Play til lately. Although I clear it out, if my phones screen is off for a while, I double tap it on, then of course swipe, I get this STUPID add for a game called Mobile Strike. IT doesn't happen all the time, but it does get annoying. I even went as far as taking Google Play off any of my screens and just keeping it in Apps. But still happens.

Also the mobile radio active figure is always going up and up!
I do have a android wear device synced but I always have and never noticed this is lollipop.
What could be causing this? I don't have Google now or location services on ...

View 1 Replies View RelatedI reset my phone because after 5.1.1 update my phone battery was poor so i reset my phone copied songs from my PC to nexus 5 when i open Google play music it is unable to detect those transferred songs. when i went to ES Explorer i can able to see all the songs i copied. what should i do? one more reset? is there any way to say google play music about songs presence?

I bought a song from the play store the other day only to find that Google Play Music will no longer play any music on my Nexus 5. I do have PowerAmp set as my default player (I think) and I cleared the GPM app cache. It should work but it doesn't play anything at all, none of my other music either.

The battery drained, charged, and I turned it back on. Now I the broken voice call problem is back and the Google Play services is permanently disabled--when I go to apps to enable it, the button for enable/disable is gray.

I checked my power information and I saw the google play services was consuming more power (45%) than my screen 19% that was an overnight situation. I tried uninstalling the updates, didn't work. View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm having an issue with my HTC One M8 and Google Play Music. I subscribe to their service and have always downloaded music for offline listening via the Google Play Music app (via WiFi only).
My phone is about a month and a half old, and everything worked fine for the first couple of weeks. Then syncing problems came. This actually included gmail, calendar, facebook, etc. I wound up doing a full factory reset, and most of the other services are working fine now.
However, Google Play Music doesn't seem to know that I'm connected to WiFi, even though I am and all other apps/internet are working. Because of this, it will not sync or even stream music (as i've selected WiFi only).
Having problems with Google Play Services constantly running? Auto sync off for ALL of Google services. No location on. But battery stats showing Google Play Services running and cannot stop it. Right now it has used 20%. Wifi showing constantly receiving sending data, not many apps installed, in fact already did a factory reset.

However, both me and my husband have tried tirelessly to find how to search Google, or the Play Store, or other places in the phone with a search bar. We came from the Droid Razr (talk about an upgrade!) and that had a "GO" button to tell Google to search more than just the drop-down, suggested searches results. Is there anything on the M8 that is equivalent - to make Google actually search what you typed in, rather than having to choose from suggestions (which usually aren't what you want)?
