LG :: Is It Possible To Use Music On SD Card As Alarm?
Jun 28, 2010I have an 8GB SD card in my phone with a bunch of music on it. Surely this phone has the capability to use one of those songs as an alarm clock, no?

View 1 RepliesWhy does all the downloaded music go directly to the f: memory card, when downloading music from Ovi Music Store? It should be saved to the e: mass memory, but there is no settings in the application where to change the save location?. The phone automatically makes a folder named "Ovi Music Downloads" in the memory card. It should be created in the mass memory.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a Nokia 6710 Navigator. I have downloaded an mp3 onto my phone, which I want to use as my alarm tone. I have selected the song as my alarm tone, and at the set time the song begins playing.
My issue is that, when playing as an alarm, only 1 minute of the mp3 plays.
Is it possible to change the settings so that the whole mp3 file plays (approx 3 minutes) when I'm using it as an alarm?
I've recently encountered a problem with my HTC One S in that it will not recognize any of my music, notification and alarm sounds at all. I've connected it to my PC to verify that the music is indeed in the music folder, but nothing comes up.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy phone got updated to 2.3.5 and sense UI 3 yesterday and I face this problem where I'd be listening to music, playing games and hearing the phone ring when suddenly it would go dumb and I can't hear anything. This happens with no error message or notification. The phone think it's playing media and allows me to adjust the media volume but there's no sound (speaker or earphones). I have to restart the phone every time this happens but the problem keeps happening randomly.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo I went to set an alarm last night for the first time since having the iphone 5c, and for some reason it showed all of my music (including music I don't have on my ipod anymore) when I went to select a song. I was messing around and clicked a few songs I hadnt heard in a while (and don't have synced to my ipod.) Now those bands and songs are showing up in my music. I've also deleted most of these bands from my Itunes completely, so it doesn't work to just uncheck them or d and sync again, they're still there. I tried swiping to delete and was able to delete one song, but the delete button doesn't show up now. I've tried turning "show all music" on and I still can't delete manually, and I'm not sure where these songs are coming from since they're deleted from Itunes.

iPhone 5c, iOS 7
I have had this happen a few times. I have a custom ringtone for my Alarm Clock. I put it in a folder on the SD Card: media/alarms. When I hook up the phone through USB to organize or add/delete files using a computer, the next morning my alarm clock has defaulted to an on-phone ringtone. I was used to my sounds being different while I have the SD card actively unmounted, but the settings were always maintained when I returned.
View 5 Replies View RelatedSo basically, for no reason (no update, no restart of the device), my Nexus 5 does not show my music in Google Play Music, and my Ringtones/Alarms/Notifications that I customized do not work too (and they do no show in the list when I try to apply parameters).
No file has disappeared:
- Music is in Nexus5 > Internatl Storage > Music
- The rest of the stuff is still in Nexus 5 > Internal Storage > Ringtones, or Alarms.
Everything is here right at its place. But nothing works as before. I tried to restart the device, but no. I tried to empy cache/clear data/force stop of Google Play Music, but no. I did the same with the Media Storage app, and it did not work too. I got all the files out and back with other names, but no.
Moreover, since I forced stop of Google Music and relaunched it, now my library is polluted my dozens of songs and albums that I suppose are automatically put here as a "try it" thing, but I don't want them appearing at all, even more in my small library (okay, right now, nothing would appear I know).
I used to have a Motorola Defy, you could set the alarm to selected music. I have been unable to do this with my new Motorola RAZR i. Also I cannot connect my phone to my PC. I have updated/reinstalled all the drivers but it still does not recognise my phone.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have , once, removed my mobile phone from data cable without safety remove and there it gave me lot of troubles. My facebook was not able to be connected through the provided application and my music player stopped working as and stopped refreshing saying that "File corrupted"
Finally. i removed my memory card, formatted it and made it worked.
Nokia should consider fixing these issues as we respect them a lot and think that they are still the #1 hardware vendor and will keep giving us good options than Samsung - android and will compete with apple phones.
I recently got a Kingston 16GB Class 4 microSD (from a reputable source - not ebay - and yes it is a genuine 16GB microSD) for my N8 and want to transfer my music to it, to free up space for photos and video on the phone itself. What I thought should be a simple process, thanks to Nokia, has turned out to be a non-trivial exercise.I naively copied my MUSIC folder to the microSD (F), and then deleted the MUSIC folder on the E drive, and refreshed the library. It went through the process of seemingly refreshing for ages, number of tracks clocking up, but then told me the music library was corrupt and showed nothing. After playing for a while, I decided to reverse the process, put my music back on E and deleted the MUSIC folder from the F drive. Refreshed library and I was back to square one (thankfully), and everything worked as before, but, of course, I still hadn't got my music across to the microSD.
Then I searched these forums and found loads of people had had the same problem. It seems that, (as is often the case) the refresh of the library has bugs, and keeps old files somewhere on the device that should be deleted by the refresh process for it to work properly, but hang around causing problems (thanks Nokia - your software guys strike again)Despite trying to find these 'private' folders, they do not appear to be anywhere on any drive on my N8 (and, yes, I did have show hidden files set)
So, simple question is, how can I successfully transfer my music to the microSD so that it just works? Do i have to delete all 1400 tracks and reload them onto the F drive, and if I do this, will it sort the library problem. Ideally I would appreciate a tried and tested method from someone who has actually DONE it, as I don't want to screw my N8.
I have Google Music downloaded onto SD card but somehow the G3 stock music is unable to find and play it. Is this the security thing of Kitkat or somehow I am not doing the right thing. If it is not having to do with security, then what option to enable.
View 5 Replies View RelatedIf I drag and drop music files to the Music folder in the phone storage they show up in the music player app fine.
However, files do not show in the app when I add them to the SD Card.
The SD card has been formatted in the phone. I'm adding files to this folder directory - Card/Android/data/com.google.android.music/files. Is this correct?
I think I understand that I can only read the card. I want to get the music on the card into my music library. Shortcuts to the music would be fine?
View 3 Replies View RelatedAny ideas as to what I'm doing wrong here? Sometimes (about 1 day a week), I'll set my alarm, but it will not go off. When I look at the phone, it'll have the pop-up indicator thing saying "DISMISS" or "off" (can't remember exactly what it says), that indicates that the alarm was triggered, but it doesn't actually make the alarm sound.Any ideas why this may be happening? I am 100% sure the alarm is set to the right time, and the AM/PM is correct, and the phone is not on "Silent", but the alarm won't actually ring? It doesn't do it all the time, but maybe only once every 7-10 times I set the alarm, and for the life of me, I cannot figure out why. This is a big problem for me because I don't have a regular alarm clock, and I use it to wake me up for work. Twice this month I have been late for work because my alarm didn't go off.Can anyone out there possibly help me diagnose this problem? I think my boss thinks that I'm lying to him when I tell him my alarm doesn't go off, and it's really becoming a problem.
View 4 Replies View RelatedIt seems on Nokia E71, the alarm settings are lost when an alarm is activated while the mobile is turned off.The sequence which i followed was.# set an alarm with time = current time + 5 mins# switched off the mobile# When the alarm time reaches the alarm goes on and asks "if we want to turn on the phone"; select 'no'.[My opinion is that at this stage it should just inform the user that the phone is switched off, rather than giving an option to turn on the phone.]# turn on the phone and go to Menu_office_clock and check the previous alarm settings. All of them would be deleted. I saw the same error in E72 and E63.

- Alarm was set and was shown to be in use. Even the Icon in the start screen was shown
- Tried multiple times afterwards setting the existing alarm a few minutes forward. None of the attempts alarmed.
How I set the alarm is that I always edit the existing alarm, edit the time and push the alarm on.When I tried creating a new alarm (a few minutes forward), that ringed ok. But the existing alarm failed to ring

View 3 Replies View RelatedIm back with yet another problem with this phone. So disappointing. Anyway, here's the problem, few days ago my GF lost all her pictures and music from her SD card. Internal storage is untouched.
I never owned Android phone, but did some research and seems like this problem usually occurs after OS update. She didnt update her phone. Never connects to PC, and did nothing unusual. When she inserts this SD card to HTC Desire X (her old phone) it says SD is damaged, and but shows nothing on G3.When she connects G3 to PC the SD doesnt show up there too.
My music rests on the memory card but the MUSIC PLAYER does not 'see' it by default. If I use file manager to open the music files it will play them proberly, but I want to se my music library when I opt to play music.

View 16 Replies View RelatedI switched to and Android from an iPhone 5s. I love the freedom of a Droid over the constricting OS of Apple. First I had a Google phone, but switched to the LG G3. The reason is to accommodate to 40 gigs of music, and put it on the LGs external micro SD card. For the life of me I cannot get the music to play off of the 32 gig internal memory or the 64 gig external micro SD card. I get error messages when the songs wont play at all, or the songs skip like fast forwarding. I'm using a ScanDisk 64 gig micro SD card. The only way I can get the music to play is to burn up AT&T data while streaming in Google Play app. Do I need a different brand? Do I need to mount it in a certain order?
I CAN get music to play off of the 32gig internal memory, but not the SD card.
When connecting to a mercedes via usb.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI want to add music to my Micro SD card, which is why I got it in the first place, but I don't know if I need to create a folder on the card or do I just drop all the music on there.
I put the card in the G3 and rebooted the phone. When I took the card back out to put it in the computer (thinking that might make for a quicker transfer), I noticed the phone formatted the card (like I thought it would) and added some folders and files already. The folders on there are:
.android_secure
Android
LGBackup
The "secure" and "Backup" folders have nothing in them. The Android folder has a folder named "data". In that folder are some other folders:
com.google.android.apps.magazines
com.google.android.gms
com.google.android.music
com.google.android.youtube
com.lge.thinkfreeviewer
com.shutterfly
com.twitter.android
