Galaxy S6 :: Overly Saturated Screen After Reboot
Apr 20, 2015I got a S6 G920I last week, and I had to return it because the home button was kind of loose, and it was making a fun noise every time I pressed it. Now I have the replacement working fine, but I noticed something rather odd.
When I restart the phone, if I enter my SIM pin and unlock the device immediately after restarting (i.e. without letting the device to turn off the screen) I'm getting overly saturated screen colors, to the point that my wallpaper looks completely different.
The problem goes away after turning the screen off and on, but it's very weird this is happening. I've seen several issues with the S6 screen on the forum but nothing like this.
I'm adding the steps to reproduce (old habit from my QA days) just in case you have time to check it on your device:
1. Press and hold the power button
2. Tap on Restart
3. Immediately after the device restarts, enter you SIM pin (if needed). Don't let the screen turn off.
4. Unlock the device
After step 4. I'm seeing the device with a completely different screen color. Blacks are way too black, and generally looking very weird. As I said the problem goes away after turning off and on the screen.
I'm adding some (very low quality) pictures, so maybe you can notice the issue. In the normal picture, you can see some diamond shapes in the wallpaper, but in the saturated image you can't because of the high contrast colors.

Sep 14, 2015Is it normal when this phone is on auto brightness and direct sun hits it, it makes the screen horribly saturated? The colours look terrible, almost fluorescent. I've had lots of Galaxy flagship phones before and never noticed this.

Jun 29, 2010I have a BlackBerry Tour 9630, virtually brand new. I recieved my current phone barely two weeks ago from an insurance claim as my previous phone was stolen.
I was just headed to bed, I checked my phone a final time and had no issued. I always charge my phone on my nightstand next to my bed while I sleep. The instant I plugged the USB end of the power chord into the phone the screen went haywire. The screen is now saturated with a random pattern of colored lines. I cannot see or do anything. I tried battery out restarts and it did nothing. My phone has never been wet, never fallen or had any impacts, and is always in a silicone case. Again, this phone is basically brand new and the problem started the instant I began charging it tonight!What the heck happened and how the heck do I fix it!?

Sep 28, 2013I have my Z5 now for 1 day, and I see a big difference in the screen from my Z1 and the Z5. There is too much red on the Z5. On pictures faces are red instead of normal skin tone. I have disabled the X-reallity mode on both phones.

Mar 16, 2010After a bad experience with an 'authorized' Nokia service centre, I am now in the need to replace my display.
After the repair of the USB hatch, the display gave a problem - and when we told them they seem to have fitted a different display. The display now goes completely dark whenever the backlight is off, and also has very bad legibility in daylight even with backlight.
I don't really trust the service centre anymore, and am going to replace the display myself. I want to ask my friends around if they are dumping any compatible phone - so that I can use their display. Do you know if there are any other phones where same display as N82 is used?
