I own a blackberry curve 8520 and use blackberry messenger but have a problem. That problem is that I cant see my friends display pictures and they can see mine. I have under 100 contacts and got the latest software and have tried reinstalling it. I have done everything obvious such as turning it off and on and removing the battery

Everything seems to be working fine apart from the fact that I cant see anyone's display pic on bbm, and nobody can see mine however, i can see the display pic if it is changed but when i add someone new i cant see the DP.

My Blackberry rebooted (to delete an app) and now all the files on the media card aren't available through the media shortcuts.I was able to get the music files to appear by using "Explore", finding each file and opening each song individually.Only then did they appear in my player.I am unable to get my pictures to display.I can see them when I "explore" but not through the pictures shortcut.Why isn't my device set up to read media files automatically from the media card? I've tried every option and setting I can think of and need some help.I'm within my 14 day window, and thinking of taking it back!It worked and now it doesn't!Is there something wrong with my phone?
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy wife's V3m went on the blink but I had used bitpm to backup contacts and pictures some time before this happened. I have ported her phone number from her V3m to my old V3m that we had received at the same time from Verizon and I had moved on to a different phone. When I tried to restore the pictures I can see the names of the pictures in my pictures on her phone but they will not display.I have tried saving them onto the sd card under my pictures as well as putting some of them under wallpaper to see if they would open there. The naming convention was the default one used on the razr with 12characters.jpg. I am not sure what copying them back and forth to a XP pc may have done to them so that they will not display.

Readded all my bbm contacts but the display pics arent showing up .. and they cannot see mine.
I updated my BB and now my BBM is acting up... my BBM was update to 5.0.0.57... i was quite fine with my orginial 5.0 bbm??? Why the update messed up a good thing because it wasnt a good update. I am unable to update my pictures or even more so see my friends pictures...So basically now is there any way to downgrade bbm im fine with the update OS but the BBM has to go...Ive uninstalled, reinstalled, wiped, delete,.

It will not display pictures or graphics, even when it shows that the page has "fully loaded." Graphics/pics work just fine through the Facebook app and other apps, just not the browser. I've only tried simple solutions, like restarting it, but I haven't been able to make it work.

They show up fine in outlook and webmail, but on the Xoom they show up with tiny placeholders (boxes with green question marksressing on "show pictures" does not help. On the motoactv web app Under Display Preferences/Data Format, there is only dd/MM/yyyy and MM/dd/yyyy. Please provide the more sane unabiguous yyyy/mm/dd format so this can be consistent.) Display Units My Display Units are set to Metric. However on the MotoACTV web app when I select Workouts/Latest Workout/Workout Stats, the distance and pacing are recorded in km, but the elevation shows in ft. I am not sure at this point if it is the 'ft' label is wrong, or the actual numeric display and/or conversion is wrong, but you guys I'm sure can figure this out. You can verify this here:

Also the phone guide tells you can select where to save the pictures by going to Settings - Application settings - camera - Photo or Video. Unfortunately in my N8 Belle there is no possibility to select any folder for saving the pictures. So I can not find the new pictures anywhere to remove them from the phone without using computer.

Sometime I carry with me a tape measure and I lay it along the lenght and/r height of the item just to get a rough measurement of the item's dimension.Is it possible for Nokia to develop a camera with a built-in measuring tape that shows up in the pictures taken? The measuring tape should be able to adjust to the distance between the camera and the object so that the actual dimension of the object is measured accurately. If I take a picture of crawling snake from 20 feet away the picture taken should be able to show the actual lenght of the snake.
