I am having issues receiving group texts and picture texts. I use the go pro sms app for texting. It comes thru as Unknown and then when I click on it I cant see it....

View 6 Replies View RelatedSince the Lollipop update (I know, I know...) my group text messages haven't been downloading. Sometimes I'll see the MMS trying to download but it just times out and I never see it.
But then tonight I found out that I wasn't receiving any text messages from my roommates. The individually sent texts would come through but not the group ones.
Verizon ended up having me do a hard reset and it still didn't work.
The kicker though, my roommates turned off the iMessage/turn to regular SMS on their iPhones and app future text messages started coming through.
But I wasn't getting text messages from others with Androids too. It seems to be only on group messages though.
Is there anyway to group all text messages from one person so you don't see all of them in your inbox? You just choose one and can view the whole conversation from there?

I've tried putting in the following APN information and it's still not working:

Since the new JB update I have lost the ability to group email and group text. I used to be able to go to the "To:" field, type in the group name and click it. Now that is all gone. Is there a way to get it back or is this another JB issue?

When I receive a multimedia group text, the texts only show the originators number and not the other Group numbers.
This phone is a SAMSUNG GALAXY 6, using Android 5.0.2
Other suggested truning on Group Conversation or Group Messaging in the settings , but that option does not appear.
The instructions I received are below , but like I said, it did not show up on the settings.Is there a difference in the Android versions that would cause the menu to be different or the setting to located somewhere else?

3.) tap MORE AT TOP RIGHT OF SCREEN
4.) SELECT Settings
5.) SELECT MORE SETTINGS

Does anybody know how you get the contacts picture to display when receiving a text message? I have all numbers prefixed with the national code so it isn't that causing the problem.
