1. The phone seems to want to dim my display no matter what my screen timeout settings are. Sometimes it will go completely black but sometimes it seems to dim to like 5-10% - I can still see the desktop but barely.
2. When you're playing music on Spotify the lock screen fills up completely with the album art - which i've never seen before and is a great feature. Unfortunately the lock screen only stays on for like 5 seconds before it turns off. Is there a way to keep the lock screen displayed for as long as possible?
Love my fone so far, but had not too much time playing with it so far, but one thing that bugs me is that my screen autolock straight after a call even if I am not back to my home screen, how can I stop it to do this.
Reason is that when I unlock it again, I am at the previous screen, I have then to cancel screens to go back to my home page to start again, this is a pain.
Is there any way to stop my phone from dimming all the time. If I am gaming or on the phone a while it goes from 100% brightness to like 70. I do not use auto brightness as I do not like it. I like the screen to be as bright as can be.
is there no way to stop notifications from waking the screen? Everytime I get any sort of notification, my screen wakes up to display the notification on the lock screen, and then goes back to sleep a second later. I would like to turn this off and it drains battery.
my nokia n97 mini has just started vibrating every time i touch the screen, and it's driving me crazy!. I've checked that the touch screen vibration setting is off, and it is, and have tried turning it on and off again, and turning the phone off and on again. I've had the phone for a year and this problem has just begun in the last few days.
Is there any way that I can stop the lock button from locking the screen. I find my left hand is to close to the button. Can the phone be set so that when the phone is put into the holster it would lock the screen.
my xperia touch screen stop responding but all other functions are working properly. i have to put the battery out for many hours to get it back. seems like software issue but how to fix it becoz when touch start working it works properly and i checked it by *#*#service#*#*.
I will know for sure if it doesn't happen any more in the next day or 2 but I think the cause is Twilight (f.lux type app).. I uninstalled this and it kept happening, but rebooted and it hasn't happened since.Got my GS6 Edge yesterday, & have spent awhile configuring it, and recently it's started having full screen black flashes every so often (when going to home screen, changing pages, etc), and more rarely the whole screen will become very noisy glitchy as shown:
e.g. when I opened the Dropbox app just now, the screen flashed black and the static appeared, and will stay until I do something to the screen - I just tapped and it went away, couple seconds later it came back. Tapped the dropbox logo and black flash, static. It's not limited to Dropbox, homescreen + any other app I try seems to be the same.(on the bright side I've just switched from iOS, I design iOS apps for a living, and other than this issue this phone is in a completely different league for me than my old 5S)
I have a Samsung S6 Edge. Every time I turn on GPS, either High Accuracy or Battery Saver.. whenever I lock my phone... i lose that GPS signal. Everytime time I wake it back up or unlock it..i will see a "searching for location", then a "location found". This happens for ALL application, Google Maps, Verizon Navigotor, MapMyRun, etc. This is very frustrating as I use these apps all the time and I cant keep my phone 'unlocked' as then the screen is active and I would accidently click things.
ADDITIONALLY, after using the GPS, I will then shut off the location feature and then my phone will continually say "searching for location", even with location off. I close all my current applications etc.. and it still says searching. This message does not go away until i turn back on location or restart my phone.
When I go to location settings, i see "recent location requests" of "Google Play services" and Location Services of "Google Location History".. that is it!
I am about to the point of wiping out my phone and starting over. (which i dont want to do). I have not battery saver or app killers downloaded on my phone so that cant be it.
I have had my S5 for about a month or two now and have been having a problem with the screen waking in my pocket. I'm guessing the home or power button is being pressed which is fine but I need the screen to turn back off in a reasonable amount of time. There is a setting called "Screen timeout" but no "Lock screen timeout" like I used to have on my S3. Maybe I'm missing something but it seems like both the screen timeout and the lock screen timeout are both controlled by this one setting. Just about every 20 minutes I feel my pocket getting hot and sure enough, the screen has been on for who knows how long.
I have a Samsung GT S5233S with Att. My touch screen is in perfect condition with no scratches or anything. When I woke up in the morning it doesn't work anymore, I can't really use this phone for anything else except pick up calls now.
For the last couple of weeks my screen has been starting to act kind of weird. The problem is that the screen become unresponsive from time to time. For the most of the time when the screen stop responding I can "reset" it by pressing the sleep-button and then wake the phone up again or tilt it to landscape-mode.
It's very annoying and I don't know what to do. For example, just a regular text/sms takes like 8-9 "resets" as described above, to finish. I use the latest software for both iOS and iTunes. The phone has not been a subject to "brute force" or any kind of liquids and part from a few very small scratches the phone looks like new (kind of).
I have E7 and few days ago my touch screen stop working. Last working was when I put my phone on charger and I deactivate power saving mode, and when I take off from charging, my touch stop working. When phone is closed(keyboard) nothing work only power buton. When I open keyboard everything working , but no touchscreen.I hope is software problem, and I reinstal, reset , and try everything I know but still same. I also find in discusion something like "enter #7370# ," but here is request not completed. Phone have waranty, but in my country service say to leave phone and they will call me for 30 days . When thay say 30days, thay mean 60
I have an N97 and every day now the screen will stop responding to touch input. I think this is a hardware issue as I have always updated the firmware as soon as its released and I have the same problem no matter the firmware. Resetting and turning off/on again doesn't solve it. Just have to lock the screen and rub my thumb over the entire screen and it seems to start working again. Could part of the touch screen be getting stuck down?
Ever since I got my 1020 a few weeks ago, there has been a problem where it will start ghost clicking/switching menus on its own. This can happen for several seconds or sometimes won't stop until you power the screen off. Sometimes it will get to the phone menu and call people on its own which is a big problem. There doesn't seem to be any pattern to it and happens several times a day.
I bought the phone 'like new', so there is no warranty obviously. I don't think it had ever been used before however because there were zero marks/scratches and it was totally spotless when I received it, so it can't be misuse from the previous owner.
I accidentally activated my voice command option on my phone and it does not allow me to scroll left right up down nothing. I have to search double tapping everytime, swipe type is disables and i am not able to go to my setting and undo as i am not able to scroll nor select anything.
