I just bought a LG G3 cell phone...I have noticed every time I get a text or phone call you and everyone around me hears that I have a phone message or a text waiting. How or can I disable this annoying feature??
Text messages will use the Default Notification ringtone, and then will speak the texting contact's name. Things I have tried:
Talkback is off (even made sure the setting is off) Accessibility settings are set to "Ring Only" Call settings are the same Not using Smart Actions Cannot find any driving mode, which seems to be the common culprit....
I am on ICS .246, rooted. Hoping that doesnt matter
I have a bluetooth car kit that mutes my car stereo. When ever the Maps app talks the stereo mutes. I would like to disable the voice so I can view directions but not have my stereo continually muted. Turning the volume to zero does not solve it. No voice is head but it still mutes the stereo. Currently my only solution is to turn my N97 bluetooth off. Is voice disable possible? Route66 has that feature. Is tired of Nokia whingers. Go to Apple, that's where you deserve to be.
Whenever my 5800 Xpress Music connects to a wired or bluetooth headset it starts 'Speak now' voice dialling which sometimes accidentally starts a call to one of my contacts and I'm unaware of dialling out until the recipient answers the call. I've checked the forums and instruction manual but switching voice dialling (or commands) off doesn't seem to appear anywhere.
is there a way of disabling the voice control feature on the iPhone 4? I'm using the "hold the home button" action for something else by way of Activator and it's annoying that if I hold it a little too long it'll launch voice control.
I have a Bold 9000, and sometimes the bugger just drives me nuts. This has only happened to me twice now, but it's a pretty costly issue..My voice dialing seems to randomly turn on, I have no idea what is leading up to it, I hadn't had my headphone jack in it for a couple of hours. But then, the next morning, my alarm doesn't go off because the stupid voice dialing was activated [as you can see, this is a costly issue because it has lead to me missing a shift].Anyways, all the posts that I have read the solution has been to disable the side key.. Which I did a long time ago, and I double checked today, yes, it is turned to video camera, not voice dialing. How do I disable my voice dialing?
I want to permanently disable this feature and can't find where to do so. When using a bluetooth headset, if I press the button in a call, it hangs up. However, if the other end hangs up first, my phone calls a random number from the phone book when I try to hang up myself. The same happens if the headset gets touched accidentally.
I found a setting where the google voice lady will speak the name of the person calling you. Well, that's pretty annoying! Now, I can't find the setting to turn her off.
Today, my phone and my husband's (same phone: Droid X) activated voicemail on it's own, or else Verizon did it for us. Problem is, neither of us WANT voicemail on our phones! How can we deactivate, while still keeping the option of voicemail later? I thought about just forcing a stop on the voicemail, but am worried that it will mean we won't have the option of voicemail in the future, should we require it.
Is there any way to disable or uninstall Nuance voice commands on my XPRT without rooting the phone? It seems to dominate my bluetooth button and I can't find a way to disable it. It's the worst piece of software ever. I have 3,000+ contacts and it takes 45-60 seconds of waiting just to say a command that it invariably won't recognize when google voice actions takes a second to launch and works every time. Also is there any way to assign google voice actions as the default when I press my bluetooth universal button?
I've been searching everywhere and can't seem to find an answer to this..What I want to do is keep the bluetooth voice link in my car (all working great btw) but disable the audio so that navigation directions come from the phone speaker. My Nokia N8 did this by default but I cannot seem to find an option in Setting or Drive to prevent the audio from going to Bluetooth.
I am using a Moto X 2nd Gen device running Lollipop on Verizon Wireless. If I have my volume for ringer/notifications set to vibrate and then I access Moto Voice (e.g OK Moto X, what is the weather?) for some reason the volume on ringer/notifications is increased to close to 70% of max. I can actually "see" it happen if I press the volume rocker down to vibrate and then initiate a Moto Voice command. (I am talking about the window that shows up at the top of the phone when you change volumes - I can see it change from vibrate to 70% of max).
Everytime I have an incoming call a voice announces that I have a call from an unknown number and the proceeds to inform me to accept please press 1 or press 2 to send it to voicemail. I also get an email from Google Voice that I have a pending voice mail.
I've used exclusively Google Voice for voicemails, and not the VZW service, for over 6 months. I figure all VZW voicemails are cleared out by now. But still, the little "tape" icon is displayed in the notification banner. When I enter the voicemail app, I see that I do have one voicemail. Also, the green LED blinks incessantly sometimes (but sometimes not??). I think the voicemail notification and LED blinking are related. Is there any way to disable notifications for the VZW voicemail, both the notification icon and/or the LED blinking? The Menu button has no effect in the voicemail app, and I don't see any applicable setting in the phone's Settings menu.Or, is there some way to clear/empty/disable my VZW voice mailbox without deactivating Google voicemail for my phone?
I seem to remember seeing this somewhere before, is there a way to disable the annoying auto-suggest feature during voice dialing? You know, when you voice dials and the automated voice comes off saying "next time say name... "
My radio was not  working, untill i disabled the 'ok google' trusted voice security feature.  why is it these two cant work together?  I'm running android version 5.1.1
I want to disable the voice commands when the off hook button on my headset is pressed.I use an audio book player and pressing the headset button is supposed to pause / play the book. Instead the voice command stuff comes on. How can I turn it off?
Is there a way to disable the 'initializing voice command' when I plug into the headphone jack? Whenever I plug my headphones to listen to music, or plug my line-out cord so I can listen in my car, it always prompts me to 'say a command'. While a minor setback, I find it annoying since it's never what I use it for.Anyway, is there a way to turn it off, or set it to automatically play music when plugged in?
My wife's Droid 4 makes a point of telling everyone what network she's using when the phone rings and when reconnecting after being in a dead spot. It's pretty annoyingI've been through all of the set up menus and can't figure out how to turn this off
