So I've had a LG G3 through Sprint for quite some time now. When I first got the phone I noticed that I had a problem answering calls. They would either never make it to my phone or my phone would freeze when I answered the call. After some research I found that this was due to problem with the Spark OS where it couldn't do both 4G and phone calls at the same time, or something like that. I fixed the problem by going into my network mode setting and setting it to 3G only. I never had a problem again.
Fast forward to today, my phone for some reason has put gone back into a LTE 4G setting, I don't know why it just did. So I go to change the setting back because I'm going to work and need to be able to answer my phone but for some reason the network mode setting is grayed out. I can't get into it to change anything. why I'd be locked out of the network mode settings?
I have bought a N900 today and am busy testing it. With the phone, no real user guide was given. I downloaded one from the Nokia site. But I do not seem to find how to make the screen rotate.
My N900 only seems to be able to connect to PC Suite in 'non-compatibility' mode. This mode doesnt allow me to use any of the PC suite applications. How do I change the mode to 'compatibility' mode, or the 'normal' mode so everything works! No options appear on the phone when the USB cable is connected for PC Suite, like it should do? The phone is automatically charged via the connection though.
I have an issue with the Blackberry Bold 9900, I notice that the mobile network antenna goes to SOS when I set the Network mode in 3G and 2G. And its only working when I left the the network configured in 2G only. I really need the 3G network working...
We have 6350s that we've opted for 'voice only' service. Our batteries last for only 2-3 days (primarily in standby); I suspect it's the 3G network that is so parasitic. Has anyone knowledge of how to toggle Network Mode to GSM (etc)?
ive set ip all up and its working fine. however I kind of changed the network mode settings to be GSM from Dual Mode under connectivity to reduce my battery usage in power saving i cant access internet while deactivating this option Im able to.I wish I can change it back at the same time use power saving mode. what do I do it keeps on changing back to GSM when I activate power saving mode?
I'm having some really annoying issue with my phone, when I select the Network Mode to GSM/WCDMA (auto connect) it is working perfectly fine but as soon as I change to LTE/GSM/WCDMA (auto connect) I lost 75% of my signal.
Of course without activating LTE I cannot access the 4G Network which is a bit annoying.
I also tried to flash the latest modem for my phone g920i but it didn't solve the problem.
I have a S6 edge and trying to find out where is the network mode can be found. Far is I know, it should be under the "mobile network" menu, but is not there. All I have under the "mobile networks" menu is: Mobil data, International Data Roaming, Access Point Names and Network operators. None of these including the "network mode".
If I try to find it in the search, it takes me straight to where is should be, but again, is not there.
The network mode on my Samsung galaxy S5 device is always set at GSM only. When I try to change it to WCDMA only or GSM/WCDMA (auto mode) it changes back to GSM only. The area I am has 3G network and most devices I see have H but mine always shows as E no matter what I do. When browsing it takes a long time for pages to open because its always at E.
I have factory reset the device but still facing the same problem.
I want to add GSM auto (PRL) network mode menu along with WCDMA only,GSM only,WCDMA (preferred)/GSM modes. Right now I access GSM auto (PRL) mode by *#*#4636#*#* and select set preferred network type in phone information menu. I need to reboot my mobile if I want to switch other mode.
Is it advisable to use GSM auto (PRL) mode over WCDMA (preferred)/GSM mode.
Is there any App available for this to switch between network modes.
Issue: In WCDMA only/preferred mode, call/network drop frequently .Current Android version: 2.3.4 , Best solution provided by service centre: Switch manually between 2G(for calls) & 3G(for data), Customer Care ticket Id: 93172166 ,WorkOrder No: SE312TR111983
I have been following the case with service centre & customer care since 2 weeks but have been provided a sub-standard solution as mentioned above. Please do not mark the thread as "Assumed Answered", I ll get back asap.Scenarios checked: 1. 3G signal receptivity in my area: Confirmed OK by operator. 2. Used same SIM in another phone: Works fine on 3G, 3. Used another SIM on ray: Same issue with 3G mode
Was set to auto but kept getting "welcome to the Isle of Man" from O2 roaming! Which was wanting to charge for being abroad. Is there any way of setting to auto but not allowing networks abroad?
I get a poor signal indoors at home - on Orange and it's always been the case. I spoke to their customer services and was told to switch the phone from auto select for Network Mode to GSM only. My choices are GSM only, WCDMA only or Auto.
True, having done so, the signal strength seems better though not amazing but, ordinarily, I get then just a "G" for data. I found that switching to WCDMA only, data goes to 3G or even H and sometime H+ but I nearly always lose the standard signal.
I dont understand the difference between GSM and WCDMA nor whether the results I see when choosing each are to be expected or not. I'd welcome any information from those of you who know more about these things than I do.
I installed the lite'ning rom around 4 days ago but since yesterday I'm unable to activate data network mode? It's ticked under the settings and i've tried turning it on and off but it still doesn't come on. When I hold the power button it will say its activated but if I wait 30 seconds it switches to saying its deactivated? Is this a problem with the rom?
Am I right in thinking that the Data Network Mode access your data plan usage? Ie 500mb?When I activate this, it doesn't seem to allow me to connect to the net? Also is there a widget that allows me toggle this off and on?Doesn't it seem weird that Samsung hasn't give us a indicator like the wifi that this data network mode is ON? I could leave it on running without even knowing? Is there a good app which lets me see how much data I am using?
I have an N8 which has 3 options for network mode - dual mode, 3G or GSM.I have absolutely no idea what any of these mean or what to select !The reason for my question is that I had to put my sim card into another phone for a couple of days and now I've put it back I cannot send texts or make any calls - I can receive them and get on the internet but that's it so I was wondering whether the network mode option has any effect?
I looked around and couldn't find a definitive answer to this question: what's the best Network Mode setting? I've seen some claims that setting to Automatic improves 3G performance (and a short test did seem to confirm that), whereas some people have recommended Any CDMA. I was on Automatic on the way to work today and experienced spotty 3G connectivity--causative or coincidence?
I got a big problem with my N900. I can't change network settings, I mean from 3g to 2g or GSM. I can't figure out why. I click 'save' but the settings don't change, so I don't know what to do!
im using sony Z3 Dual D6633 , i set the network to manual selection, during that time the screen showed the name of (provider) network i selected or " emergency service only" is it possible that the phone it self change to another network without my knowledge .
The manual and the website both say "The device settings, such as Network mode and the screen saver, are optimized. When you activate power saving. What does this mean in plain English? Optimized how?
Every time when I need to switch from 3G to 4G, I need to reset network settings and toggle Airplane mode and restart the phone. Why? Is there a permanent fix?
