Aug 18, 2010I got my torch 9800 on launch day. i loved this device and definately felt like i was upgrading from my old device (iphone 3g). as much as i love the capabilities of the device i have run into a few issues, specifically network issues. it all started on sunday when all of a sudden i lost connection to the blackberry servers(the little logo in the corner was gone..) i went to at&t on monday and they could not figure it out. apparently my service book for the blackberry internet service got deleted(i didnt even know what a servicebook was lol) so i went home later that night and downnloaded the at&t software and reinstalled the os and this worked. then all of a sudden today, my fb was acting up, so i deleted the app. then i lost the connection again... do you guys have any idea what could be causing this? im currently reinstalling the os as i write this.

Dec 6, 2011I recently deactivated my Blackberry Bold 9000 (v4.6.0.304 operating system) from AT&T since I ported my cell phone number to US Cellular who had better coverage in my region. I'd like to continue using my Blackberry Bold 9000 as a free wi-fi only internet access device and install the Google Voice app so my kids could text message and make phone calls via the Google Voice app and phone's wi-fi connection. While my BB Bold is able to connect to our home wi-fi network like in the past it doesn't successfully connect to the internet and gives me the following message: "Unable to connect to the internet, please try again later."

Apr 6, 2010I'm the proud owner of a brand spanking new /white/ iPhone 3GS. I moved to AT&T from VZW and a droid (this phone is MILES ahead of android in terms of OS usability especially since I have a Mac, the syncing is seamless).
I got really lucky and the phone was a 3.1.2 (bought it a few days ago) so I was able to JB (tethered). I started playing around and tried out MyWi for the wifi tethering and it worked awesomely with my MacBook.
Here's my question:
I noticed that under settings>general>network, I have an internet tethering option that uses USB or Bluetooth. Is this a hack that was enabled inadvertently through something I did in the jailbreak process, or is this an AT&T feature that I will be charged extra for using? I'm curious because this seems like a cleaner approach since it's built into the OS.

Jun 25, 2010So while my 4 is connected to 3G, it just churns away in safari or speed tests, full bars.
When I connect it to the edge, it works like it should. I can also make phone calls with the 3g on, but not use the internet at all.
This is without even having the phone in my hand. I dont think this is related to all other issues with reception.

Is the best way to ensure I won't be using the cell towers is to activate airplane mode and then turn Wi-Fi on? Or is there a better way to be allowed to use Wi-Fi but not the cell towers?
More importantly, I want to be able to use the Navigation program (just the standard one that iPhone 4 comes with) to navigate my way around on foot and in the car. Apr 13, 2012i am in my house so am therefore connected to wifi, it even says connected to wifi, the 3g is up and i usually have 3 - 5 bars. my carrier has just been topped up and it still doesnt work. whenever i go onto the internet it says "safari cannot open the page because the network connection was lost". if i go to Internet it says "cannot connect to Internet" and my texting apps (i.e., whatsapp) just say connecting and cut out for ages. this problem occurred yesterday in the morning and i did some things like turned off and on cellular data and it started working again. later it cut out again for longer and i fixed it after a while now it has cut out and it hasn't come back since. i have tried resetting network settings and i have tried taking out sim and putting it back in.
