unlocking my blackberry for use in another country. I bought the phone cash in France, but since it was a cash purchase, i can not use e-mail, or wireless, or any blackberry internet services...
This is at SFR, now i am in Italy, and the phone is restricted to only one network, so I can not get a new simcard to use in Italy...
What do I do? I can not contact SFR, because nobody speaks any English there, can not even get a contact number on their website, because the site is in French and can not be translated to English...
I have an issue with my iPhone 4, I bought it as already used. It's locked to Hutchison 3G Austria, and they refuse to help me with unlocking it.They said I (being in Russian Federation) should come to the office where this phone was bought (somewhere in Austria) with the seller (who's in California) and then they'll think what they can do.
So I have an unlocked iPhone 4S on a carrier that doesn't sell the iPhone, nor supports Visual Voicemail.
When you get your unlocked 4S, the Visual Voicemail box shows "Cannot Connect to Voicemail". The result...Voicemail works the traditional way. You get an audio alert and a bubble appears on your phone icon. You call and check your messages. Fine. All is well.
The problem is this...Whenever you get an iOS update, Apple forces Visual Voicemail into active mode. Suddenly, the screen that said "Cannot Connect to Voicemail" previously looks like it's a normal functioning Visual Voicemail box.
Thing is..it isn't.From now on, you will no longer receive audible voicemail notifications. Occasionally the little red bubble will appear and quickly disappear, and that's it. You have voicemail, but you're not properly notified of it. And Visual Voicemail just sits there and looks pretty. There's nothing displayed indicating you have voicemail. You actually have to dial voicemail and check to see if there are messages. Not to mention the Visual Voicemail interface is completely useless. It can't show you your messages, and you can't check messages from it?
Sure you can look at your missed calls and dial up voicemail to see if anybody left a message, but that's (1) - dumb, and (2) - impractical for users who have their phones forwarding to voicemail full-time, who might have their phones shut off for whatever reason, or who are out of signal range for a period of time.So far the only one I've found that works is to get a SIM exchange. New SIM, Visual Voicemail goes back to "Cannot Connect". So I'm guessing the update writes something to the SIM
This issue has been brought up several times in the forums previously but not explained very well and the generic response seems to be "contact your carrier and shut off your mailbox"This happened with both the 5.0.1 and the 5.1 updates.
I have a 3GS operating on 5.1 and find my network subscriber Virgin Media do not support Internet usage on this phone. Other than changing my network subscriber is there anything I can do to access the Internet with my 3GS phone other than through Wi-Fi.
I Have an iPhone 5s and a bb curve 8520. I would like to use curve for texting and other such works but it doesn't seem to support iPhone hotspot. It just connects to the hotspot of my iphone but doesn't connect to the internet. I tried with 2 others blackberries and I'm facing the same issue. Why am i not able to connect?Â

Will, after I bought the new N900 (two days ago) and paid $$$$ and missed up my expenditure budget for this month :mansad: I found out that no MMS for N900 and Maemo 5 is not supporting MMS this is even made me sadder? ,and what made me want to Cray is the fact that two days ago Nokia VP announced that Maemo version 6 is on its way., but what I hope is that Maemo 5 can be upgraded to Maemo 6 and the issue of Missing including MMS can be solved with an upgrade for Maemo 5 to Maemo 6 (Hatmattan).

I have had Fring installed on my mobile for some time. I used it as a means to log on to my company Skype account and chat with my colleagues - or log in to my private account and chat with my friends. Yesterday I looked and I couldnīt find Skype anymore, only MSN, GoogleTalk, ICQ and those, no Skype. Is that just a temporary issue that might be solved by upgrading or has Skype stopped collaboration with Fring or something?

We have written a RTSP server over localhost (on phone itself) and used Media player of phone as RTSP client. Local RTSP server is running on port other than 554 because Android does not allow it (Permission denied) but as a result media player is not responding to RTSP hanshake (It sends DESCRIBE and after that no packet). If Attrix multimedia framework does not support RTSP playback on ports other than 554 then MOTOROLA
Has anyone been able to ge the default mail client to use imap server folders? Such as "sent", "drafts", "trash" instead of using the folders located on the phone?
So this is a little bit of a fail, you can not use the moto actv to stream music from phone over bluetooth to it. Which means no Pandora, Slacker, Spootify.
I have an iPhone 4S.I just installed a new Network using a Netgear router. The router offers to recognized networks, one working at 2.4 GHz and the other at 5 GHz. My laptop and iPad recognize both networks, but my iPhone only sees the 2.4 GHz network. Is this iPhone model (the latest model) unable to see a network at 5G? I would think not, but it simply doesn't show and doesn't allow me to add it manually.
Does anyone know of a third Party S60 music player sincing iTunes' song rating & play count information with the phone's music library ?I mean: it's already possible to sync iTunes' playlists with Nokia's Media Sync on MAC (and with Salling' Media Sync) on PC, however there is no option like with iPod/iPhone to rate a song while you listen to it on the go. Did I miss anything ?
