Apr 24, 2010I have an iPhone 3G jailbroken on 3.1.2 and my pc has broke with my backs ups still on itunes on the hard drive that I cannot access.Now I have just bought an new iMac and I was wondering what will happen if I connect my phone to itunes on the new mac? Will I lose all my stuff on my iPhone?Is there anyway I can keep my apps, contacts etc without losing everything? Or should I just never connect my phone to itunes again?

Apr 10, 2012so in the beginning of march, my little brother (he's 2) was sick and cranky. i watched a couple of videos on Internet with him, but i had to remove my iphone 4 case (speck) because it kept on interferring with my internet connection (not the first time either!!!). that was probably a bad idea, because when i had tried to take the phone from him when someone was calling, he threw it on the floor. it landed on the back, and now the back glass is shattered. the phone works fine, and my stupid case covers the crack, but i really want to know the cost of getting it replaced in canada. i hear its only 29$, but i want to make sure.

Jun 15, 2010Was reading another thread, and I have to assume Apple wanted to use a more durable shell to avoid the huge amount of complaints they received about cracks showing in the previous 2 phone models.I saw on Apple's site that the glass is "bendable" so this should help stress fractures from showing up.Any comments or more info on this subject from anyone?

Aug 10, 2010I installed Frash (Flash for iPhone) using the original deb, and then, again via Cydia. It worked pretty good for me and I like that it didnt load any flash unless you tapped on it, saving you from all the pop-ups and ads on some pages. I did find that very large pages would have a hard time keeping up with the combination of Frash and User Agent Faker (iPad/Mozilla settings) I was running and would sometimes cause Safari to crash to the Springboard.
That only happened 1-2 times a day so I would've kept it, but after a couple of days I realized it had broken my MMS. I could no longer send them and I was not receiving them either. I really don't know what one had to do with the other, but it was the only change I had made. Sure enough, when I uninstalled Frash, MMS worked again. While I actually did like having the option to load Flash in Safari, it was not enough for me to give up MMS. I couldn't find a fix so Frash had to go but I'm interested in hearing about other user's experiences and opinions.

Jun 12, 2012Only the glass broke, the LCD is intact and fully functional. Any idea on how much apple would charge to fix? A few months I broke the back glass and they fixed it for $30. To back up my phone itunes tells me it requires me to input the password. I created the password via find my iphone. Aug 11, 2010I take really good care of my phone and had the iPhone 3G for 2 years and didn't have any problems with scratches on the screen. Now with the iPhone 4 I have taken even better care of it and it is covered in scratches some seem minor but some seem deep and make it look weird when you look at it with the screen on. Once I noticed this it made me really mad because it is supposed to be a stronger screen.

Mar 21, 2012Ever since I got my iPhone 4S in December, I've been bothered by what appears to be some sort of etching in the glass. I can't feel it, but it shows up if I "breathe" on the glass. It's fairly large, about 2.5" x 1", I guess. It looks like a camera lens with a fungus that's penetrated the seal inside the lens. I know it isn't a "big deal", but it also kind of annoys me. Does anyone else have a similar issue, or do I stand alone? Is it worth getting an Apple store to check it out and replace the glass if necessary?

Jul 4, 2012I have cracked both the front and the back of my iPhone badly and I'm looking at buying replacement glass for it. I currently have black glass on my iphone and would like to replace it with white.As a result of dropping my phone then cracking the screens, I think I may have damaged the arial, I don't get or have less signal then what I used to, also my phone struggles to pick up wifi even if I am close to the router.
I spoke to my network and they said to get anything internal repair I must get the screens fixed but that is not covered in my warrenty. So I have found replacement glass in white and I am wondering if I change the colour of my iPhone, will I still be able to get my arial fixed in an apple store or by my network? My other option is to claim on my insurance and get a replacement phone that way, however I am unsure if they will due to the cracked screens.Am I better of replacing the screens with new black glass or am I able to change the colour?

Aug 4, 2010Last night around 10:00pm ET I was using my3G and facetime while i was out. This morning, Cydia had a couple updates, one of them being Mobile Substrate. After updating Cydia, I can no longer get Facetime to work. It attempts to connect, but then call failed.I tried on 3G and WiFi, with no luck. ANyone else having this issue? I tried rebooting, disable and re-enable facetime, and reset network settings. UPDATE: In the Phone settings, it now says "Facetime ON. Activation Unsuccessful. Turn on facetime and try again and it repeats with attempting to activate.
