Mar 22, 2012When I look at my iphone space availabe from the summary page,I have more than 2 GB of "other" items. Can someone tell what this is and how to get rid of them to free up space?

Usage: 7 hours 15 minutes
Standby: 16 hours 33 minutes
-Wifi on for about 3 hours
-1 exchange push email
-Brightness about 40%
-1-2 hours of games
-An hour iPod
-20 minutes 3G talk time
-Texting/Checking twitter

Jun 27, 2010I've found that 38 hours worth of battery life Engadget posted in their review to sound like a bit much. However this is less than a week into our new toys, and I know we're all playing hard. So, just for the curious, and to make sure none of us got shorted, how bout a study? If you'd like, post your numbers, however to be more exact, lets go by the usage number under Settings>General>Usage.If you will, post both Usage and Standby stats since the last full charge when you get down to 20%. Try to be as exact as possible.
So on my iPhone 4 going from 100% to 20% I've got...
Usage 5 hours 4 minutes
Standby 16 hours 8 minutes
Total 21 hours 12 minutes

Apr 14, 2012my iPhone 4s keeps showing more space being used for photos than i have -
i have deleted cache folders, unselect and reselect in iTunes I read one post where they said keep syncing and in a couple days it would correct itself, that hasnt happened. I have see others have the same issue but no solution and nothing appears to work my iPhone still shows 6.5 gig use of photos when i only have the camera roll listed

Aug 22, 2014I've paid for 25GB of Icloud storage and only used 16.5 GB. The phone wont let me take any photo's as it says there isn't enough space. In addition I can't upgrade as there is not enough space. What can I do?

I understand that 32gb means around 28gb in "real terms". Â
Upon looking at usage and manually adding up the amount of space used by each app it equates to around 15gb of used space. Â
Why there is about 12-13 gb of memory unaccounted for?

Aug 25, 2014My iTunes tells me that 15ish gigabytes of my 32gb(well technically 29 but whatever) iPhone is being used by music, This is perfectly fine with me but my iPhone tells me a different story. It says that over 18gb of my phone is being used. Why is this? could it be related to the 6+gb of "other" clogging up my phone? I've done just about all the tricks in the book to reduce my "other" and none have worked, Restoring the phone is at best a temporary fix. I don't even have enough space on my phone to do the most recent update. And yes I do realize I could remove some music but all that's going to do is give the "other" more space to grow.Â

Sep 2, 2010I only have 800 MB free (in Settings -> General -> About) but iTunes tells me I have 3.9 GB. If i remove the phone and then reconnect, iTunes will then show me 800 MB (0.8 GB) I just reproduced the problem by simply going into the apps tab and moving an app to a different folder. My free space immediately changes from 0.8 GB to 3.9 GB. What's going on ?

IPhone :: Battery Not Showing Full Charge After IOS 5.1.1 Upgrade
May 14, 2012I upgraded to iOS 5.1.1 last week this has been the only changes on my iPhone 4 other then normal app updates. Last light I pluged in my device for charge as is normal. Today I woke up and the device indicated that it didn't charge and is showing that I have about 35% of the charge remanding. Pluged in the device to another charger / cord and while the battery charging icon shows that it was charging but after 2hrs I still only had 35%.

Oct 18, 2013whenever I send a text, a notification pops up for less than a second and then goes away so quickly that I was having trouble even seeing what it was. I finally got a good enough look at it to go through my app list and find what was causing it, which turned out to be the "Usage" app. I'm not sure if this is a bug or if it's supposed to happen, but I figured I would come here and see just to be sure and see if there is a way I can make it stop. The "allow notifications" check box is checked and grayed out, so I can't change it.

May 13, 2015Having issues with no info being shown in the battery section. Example instead of saying for example 6 hours left of usage it just keeps saying still learning usage habit. It was showing before but I did a factory reset and for a day it's been like this. Previously it was giving me info out the box and even when I did a reset before I was getting data instantly.

May 9, 2012I set up the time capsule today and connected my MBP and a windows laptop to it. The iphone 4s connected smoothly to the time capsule and see full wifi strength on the phone. The internet connection on the phone is however very patchy. I get the connection for about 1sec and then drops off for the next few seconds. I have checked the connection using speed test. The internet connection is however working fine on the MBR and the windows laptop.

Lumia 950 XL :: Second SIM Showing Data Usage When No Sim Card Is Installed
Jan 12, 2016So this is a two-fold issue. The first and most major is that my second SIM card is showing that it has data usage (by an assortment of apps, and mainly System). This is viewable via the Data Usage in settings. I wouldn't normally care too much as long as the SIM 1 data usage is accurate.
The second issue stems from this. I have it set as a metered connection and the correct values set for data allowance, etc. It is still showing data available, with about 250MB still left (out of 2GB). Every time I enter or leave a WIFI network (or it detects a wifi network for auto-connect), I am getting a notification saying that I have used more data than I have allotted. Then when I go to the data usage, it shows that I still have data. Now, the SIM 2 is also showing data, which when added to the SIM 1, would put it over my allotted.
So a couple things:
SIM 2 is showing data usage even without SIM card'You've reached your data limit' notification keeps popping up even though I have data leftData Usage metered connection not showing total usage for both SIM within metered usage even though it's generating it's message based on that.
It is pretty annoying getting that notification all the time, especially since it's a system notification and I like having those set to sound. Also, I can't have 'restrict data usage on overage' turned on due to this bug.

My husband's phone however will count on the phones data usage 20mb over night while it is charging and on our wifi. it is counting this towards his 3g usage and not wifi. We have already had APPLE reset everything at the store. it is still doing it. so he has to turn off all cellualar data usage at night or it keeps racking up the usage even though it is on our wifi. I plug my phone in at night as well and mine is not doing this

Sep 7, 2015When I'm on YouTube watching fullscreen, or a local video stored in memory, watching photos, or even playing a game. Notifications ALWAYS appear in the upper side. You can see there text, sound, plus it vibrates. I think there is something in my phone (I dont know if it is specific-carrier Android related, Claro Perú) but it doesnt really go fullscreen EVER, so it makes notificacionts appear everywhere all the time. Disabling notifications is not a solution as I need them. Do not disturb mode also wont hide the notification from appear, it just stops de sound and the vibration.

"sim card is full.please delete some SMS text message" I go into the SMS inbox folder and delete messages, then the message disappears untill a few days later. I shouldn't have to keep doing this. I didn't have to do it on my Blackberry Curve. I know all of the forums say go into Options and uncheck Leave SMS text on sim card, but I do not have that option when I goto Options. Is there anyone else that doesn't have this option on their BB Torch? Is there a fix for this? Other than having to manually delete the messages every few days

Aug 23, 2011My C: memory is showing as full when I try to clear it through the phone file manager despite looking through all folders I cannot identify any large files on it and the same is the case when I try to look through my pc software.
When I hold on the C: memory and look at the memory details it shows 131mb of messages even though I have deleted all txt messages and emails, 46mb of SIS applications I can't see these in the file manager and 72mb of other files which I assume are the OS files.
Motorola Atrix 4G :: Cannot Dial Out, Full Bars Showing
Oct 27, 2011I have a Motorola Atrix on AT&T. I've called technical support multiple times but still have the issue. In my apartment, my phone shows full bars but when I dial a call out, the phone will hang up right away. Other times it will hang itself up and error "call failed".
I've been to the corporate store where they have given me a new SIM card, but it still does not fix my issue. I am trying to figure out if this is a hardware or network issue so I can contact the right people to have the issue fixed.
If my phone is showing full bars that means I have network coverage.
