Jul 5, 2010I'm currently using a late 2008 15" MBP, which obviously has a quality display all on its own. Not having one in to compare to, does anyone have one of the new i5/i7's with the optional high-resolution display, along with an iPhone 4, that could share their experience in comparison between the two displays?
I may be spoiling myself, but I'm tempted to upgrade....

Lumia 1020 :: How To Access High Res Images
Aug 24, 2013Finally took the plunge and bought a 1020. Just starting to learn how to use it and was wondering how I can access the hi res images ? In the settings I selected 5mp & 34mp in "Capture Mode," but when I connect the camera to my pc, all I see are the low res images.

Lumia 1020 :: Images With High-resolution In File Name
Aug 28, 2013Today I acquired a Lumia 1020, black, from the at&t store. Have to admit, I was super excited until I got home and saw the images this thing produces. Maybe I got a bad phone, but I doubt it. The images are incredibly noisy, and I expected much better.I'm looking at the images with high-res in the file name. And all of these were on automatic settings (except for one or two where I turned the flash to "assist only".)
Is it this bad everywhere? Maybe a bad phone? The images is horribly oversampled and pixelated even at low zoom levels, or default "just looking at the picture". My Lumia 920 doesn't look like this on normal photos (when you don't zoom in). URL...
Lumia 1020 :: Restoring High Res Images After Flashing
Oct 7, 2013Possible to restore high res photos on the 1020 after flashing? Before flashing my 1020 with a country variant, I backed up all my images (pro and high res) to the computer then after flashing, I copied them back to the phone. However, when viewing the images in the gallery or even from ProCam, there's no option to view the image in ProCam so effectively, I have lost the ability to view the high res versions. This is a bit of a shame as I can no longer show off the impressive pinch to zoom as well as other features.

Feb 6, 2015I bought Sony Xperia Z3 Dual 4 days ago and update it . I have one big problem in camera because when i want to record video , after some minutes i receive this message :
"Camera is temporarily unavailable due to high temperature. Please wait for your device to cool down before you can use the camera"
even for rear camera images are noisy in bad quality ||||
IPhone 4 :: Matte Screen Protector Degrades Retina Display Quality
Jun 26, 2010Just a quick heads up to others buying matte or 'privacy' screen protectors (mine is from PhoneDevil, they're really good quality btw), the ones made for the older iPhones will really dampen the sharpness and pop on the new Retina Displays on the iPhone 4. Also, the cutouts for the speaker and home button just about fit, but the front camera becomes fuzzy because its covered.
I'm willing to sacrifice these for now since I have no one to facetime with and I'm a bit OCD about fingerprints and scratch protection which are dealt with. I'm just hoping a manufacturer produces an updated iPhone 4 version which won't have such a noticeable effect on screen quality. Damn you Apple for your making me accustomise to such an amazing screen so quickly

Jun 3, 2012I am using an iPhone 3GS, iOS 5.1.1 and had no problem with it so far, but couple days ago I installed the smartsync app (syncs my contacts with facebook) and since then all of the apps are keep crashing because of the wired memory goes up really high, crashes the phone and do it again. Even if there is no app open, the wired memory goes up really high and crashed the phone and then do it again. So the battery dies really fast, and you cannot really use any app! I deleted the smartsync, I did a restore and a back-up

May 1, 2012My iPhone pictures on apps like Facebook, Instagram, etc.. are appearing pixelated/low quality or in blocks?? I've never had this happen before and it's really annoying me. My network is usually on E or 3G and I barely use wi-fi?
PS: Nothing is wrong with my camera.

HTC One M8 :: Why Phone Saving All Images From Apps To Gallery
Oct 13, 2014I downloaded two game apps (monster squad and i can't remember the other one now) and they were both saving a buttload of images to my gallery. These images were included in the app size or if they're duplicates or what I just don't want to be able to see them and I don't want them being downloaded (if they are) after app installation and using more data and space. In the photos app they were all just sitting there below all the photos I've taken and in the Gallery app they were all divided into one pic per album spanning back to almost a year before I actually owned this phone.
I've gone through settings all morning trying to find something relevant and I uninstalled both apps but the images remained. I had to use my computer to delete them all quickly otherwise it would have taken AGES to tick them all and delete via phone.

Sep 23, 2014recently swapped to android from iPhone. Got a massive issue and I can't find out how to solve it. Every time I open the Formula 1 ( + others ) app, it saves EVERY photo within the app into my gallery, tried deleting the photos, but they come back the next time I open the app and it really annoys me. So much so I might go back to Apple.

I visited App World yesterday to download a few games, came out and thought I'd change my wallpaper picture on my phone. Went into 'picture library' and found just under 500 images that I never saved to my phone! Scrolling through them I recognised a few from the games I viewed and downloaded from App World. I deleted them all (took me near on an hour) went on there again today and a few are back again! It seems my phone is automatically saving images. How do I stop this happening? Is it some kind of setting I have to change?

Aug 26, 2011I play a game called Haypi Kingdom on my phone which is quite addictive. The problem I have however is not with the game itself but with the images it has put on my phone to run itself, they seem to have 'inbedded'into the system on my phone so when for example I go into my camera I have a Haypi symbol on the bar at the top and then when I close it and its between closing an app and going to the main screen or vice versa the Haypi Kingdom shield and sword and severaL motifs appear briefly.I have tried removing the game to get rid of this but it still happens even when its not installed now, its like as if its installed a Haypi Kingdom theme to my phone! I like the game but not so much that I want to see it all over my phone!

Sep 14, 2012A little over a month ago I purchased my first BB, a Curve 8530 from Boost and I signed up for their service. Right from the box, that phone had a very high frequency noise that I could hear when I held it to my ear and I thought it was coming from the speaker, but after some experimentation I found that it was coming from the screen whenever it was lit. So, I contacted Boost and they sent me a replacement, but the one that I have now does the same thing, and maybe even a little louder. I have owned/used a fair number of different cell phones in my life, and this is the first phone that I've ever had this problem with. Is this a common issue with this particular model of phone, or are all Blackberrys this way? If it is a known issue with the 8530, I am going to talk to Boost about upgrading me to the 9310 (that they introduced right after I ordered the 8530!), but if it is a Blackberry issue then I am going to sell the one that I have and get the Evo or the Galaxy that Boost offers.
