I had to get a replacement phone and the Genius recommended not restoring my old one but treating it as new.
Unfortunately, in the sync that followed I lost all my Notes.
They are in Mail in Time Machine pre-replacement phone, but *dang* if I can figure out how to get them back. Does anyone have a thread that is easier to understand than the ones I've come across so far?

I had a 15" Macbook Pro that died on me. I got an new 15" and restored it from my Time Machine. In doing so though when I go to sync my iPhone 4S with the new computer, it's telling me that it must erase everything on the iPhone. I have about 25 Gigs of music and such on here, some of which come from old CD's and such that I don't have anymore. How can I go about syncing my phone with my computer without deleting all my Music/Pictures/Contacts/Movies/Message/Dates?

Since 4 days ago, suddenly I've missed almost all my notes, most of them, very important to me, maybe it happened after an Office for Mac actualization, particularly, an Outlook actualization.

A few weeks ago I was going through my notes, (I have them all numbered and labeled because I am a musician and write all my lyrics in my iphone- have done so for 5 years+ and always kept them in my notes connected to my yahoo account.) moving them in order beginning at number 1. I got to 10 and noticed 1-6 and number 8 had dissapeared- yet number 7 and 9 were still there.
Not sure if this matters but my internet data ran out, so it wasn't connected to the internet and I was at the doctors office so it wasn't connected to wifi when i was editing the notes- but usually it makes no difference whether it's connected to the internet or not because when I get home and connect to my wifi there is two different sets of the same notes that I edited. I have already restored my iphone with a backup from on 11/20 which was four days before
I messed with my notes so to my knowledge I thought the notes should have re-appeared but it shows all the same notes from before I backed it up which was last night. My iphone is the original 5, 32 gb. This is very important to me if I can't get these notes back then I lost about a hundred different written songs/verses that I have not yet recorded and were only stored in my phone's notes!!!!
I recently did a factory restore on my iPhone 4s. There was one thing to I forgot to backup and that way my notes on the phone. I did not have the sync to iCloud option enabled so I cannot access them on my icloud, is there anyway to recover them? I lost some important information in those notes!

I lost important notes while syncing my iPhone on my MacBook Pro. I have synced before, and know that the notes on my phone migrate to the MacBook Pro. If I want them back on the phone, I had to drag them back to the phone. So I synced notes and there was an option as to whether to keep or delete notes that were synced; I am quite sure that I chose, "keep." Now, I am unable to find those valuable notes on either device. Ouch. Can you help? Is there a backup type of place to recover them?

The port on my iphone 5s recently broke. I haven't backed my phone up in weeks and since I can no longer plug my phone into my laptop, I'm not sure how I can retrieve my photos, notes, etc. that were placed on my phone after the last time it was backed up. I have no clue how to recover my info since my phone no longer works. I know my phone has a sim card but I've never manually saved anything to it so I guess my second question is does my phone automatically save info on the sim card and if so, what type of info does it save on it?

Weird problem here, my Notes application cannot find the notes I've written, it's like they were auto-deleted. The first time it happened I thought maybe I exited without pressing done, thinking maybe that saves it. But it's happened to me several times. I write a note, press done, exit out of the program. Open up the program and the note is still there, but after a day or 2 it's just completely gone. I'm not even syncing it or anything. This is on a ip4 with 4.02 and no JB.

He needs to add some birdsong files for school but when I try to sync on my PC it tells me the phone will be erased. I have turned off the sync option for everything except the music and I set that to manual and only the files that are clicked. We don't care if he looses other music. When the automated machine answers and tells me to enter my pin number, my phone still displays "Calling <number>..." as if it is still dialing. As a result, other than the pound key, all other keys on the numpad are locked and do not work. Only option I have is to press the "End Call" button.Are there any workarounds/solutions for this? The phone thinks it is still dialing even when the other side has picked up so I cannot use the numpad.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy iPhone 3GS is set to change time automatically with the Daylight Savings change. That worked as the phone time itself is correct, but the times for the different places in the built-in World Clock app are still off by an hour (they are on the old time). This is also true of my husband's iPhone 3G. Strangely, I have an iPod touch that adjusted both its system time and the World Clock times without difficulty.
I have tried syncing the phone, toggling on/off the update time automatically, and rebooting, but the time is still incorrect. If I try adding a new place, it will also have the wrong time.
There may also be an issue with other apps - the ESPN app had the start time of a game today off by an hour as well.
Does anyone have any ideas as to how to fix this?
Edit: To clarify, the times are wrong for US cities that do observe DST, such as New York, Chicago, etc.
When inputting a time for an appointment or an alarm, th time selection wheel doesnt show 24 hour time format anymore since updating to IOS 5.1. I have an iPhone 4 and the general time setting is on 24 hr time format.

I receive messages from people hours after they tell me they sent them but when I receive them it has the current time listed, as if it was just sent. It would be fantastic to know the msg was sent at 10am and now being 2:30pm, I can have a better reply. It's definitely with the phone, because I know a few of the people have the same service provider but different phones. When messages are received on my wifes phone, it shows when they were sent, not the current time. I've looked at my settings but do not see a way to change this, is there a way?
