not sure exactly when it happened but i noticed yesterday that my sound is no longer working on my iphone 4s. i've checked that all sound settings are on, including the mute switch on the side of the phone. i can hear alarms and phone calls but the phone doesn't make the keypad noises, or the random other noises in normal us. i hear no noise when trying to listen to music or watch Internet videos. no volume bar comes up when i click the +/- buttons. all i get is an icon that says "ringer". i found that music plays just fine when i plug in a headphones, and i can even change the volume with the +/- button when the headphones are plugged in.

If you are unaware, AT&T offers data only plans to those who are hearing impaired (deaf).Since you have to CALL someone to do facetime, how does that work when you dont have voice plan at all. I know that after your call connects and you can move to facetime and your call will drop. But if you dont have any voice plan at all, how does that work ?They were not very clear about this.

whenever i charge my phone and it gets too 100 percent, in an Irish like accent, it says somthing similar to "charging complete!" and is really loud, even though i have it on silent for everything. also when my battery gets down to 30 percent, in the same accent says battery running low! ive tried turning it off and turning my phoneback on, taking the battery out, looked all over for settings, and obviously switched what volume/vibrate/silence to make sure i have it right.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently bought my blackberry the other day and it's been working great. However today I notices the back cover keeps making weird clicking noises whenever pressure is applied. Everytime I go to pick it up in my hand to text, the cover makes this noise. It appears to be due to a pocket of air between the cover and the battery but the noise is getting really annoying.

These noises happen intemitantly with no real pattern, virtually everytime I make a phone call. I cannot hear them on my end though! I have been told that this is extremely annoying, almost painfull, and people no longer want to talk to me!

View 1 Replies View RelatedSince I have updated to Gingerbread my phone is making faint clicking noises when moving the phone or interacting with the touch screen. It is intermittent and can occur when the display has timed out. Is anyone else experiencing this? Since the update I have performed a factory reset in an attempt to address this and other issues and the sounds have persisted. This has become an annoyance to me, are there any settings I should be checking to address this?

I updated my firmware on my Nokia N97 as i have been having numerous problems with dropped calls, my phone freezing and apps dissapearing from my home page. I had to reset my phone constantly as it would freeze in a call.
I updated my firmware to version 22.0.110 yesterday 06 July 2010. Now i cannot hear the other person on the phone calls. I try to adjust the volume level on the side to make it louder but this doesn't help. I reinstalled and it still is the same.
My phone is now worse than before now i cannot even make phone calls as i cannot hear the other person, but they can hear me clearly. Can someone help or are experiencing the same problem after the upgrade?

View 3 Replies View RelatedFor some reason my blackberry bold is now reading all texts and email messages through the speaker. I have my phone on silent or vibrate and they still are read aloud. I installed "you mail" over a year ago and am not sure if it has something to do with that or not,. It just started and I can't figure out how to stop it.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI can't find any option to turn off hearing aid mode on my phone!! It is actually deafeningly loud and everyone I call complains of being able to hear an echo of their own voice.
I got a new Telus HTC One the other day and noticed that little ear icon in the notification area.. So I searched around and everyone asking about it on the web seemed to be given the same solution (go into settings/call and turn off hearing aid mode)- but the option, as far as I can tell, is completely absent from my phone.
My One is rooted and running Android 4.1.2 at the moment... I know the 4.3 update will be rolling out to Telus customers over the next few weeks so I've been crossing my fingers that the new update will fix this issue, but I'm sure there has to be a way I can do it in the short run. Is there any way to show hidden options on a rooted phone?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have had this phone (Curve 8330) for about 3 years. In the past 2 weeks the only way I can hear an incoming caller is to turn on the speaker function. The call comes through fine when I do that. I have tried pulling the battery several times, but this does not correct the problem. The phone works fine otherwise and I really don't want to replace it.
