I take a lot of videos of family and friends, and had quite a few of these on my camera roll. Recently, I went to access them, and none of them are on my camera roll. I also can't find them on my PC. I found a few unimportant videos that had downloaded to my PC, but none of the ones I most particularly wanted to keep. All my photos are still on my iPhone and on my PC. I did update my phone to the latest iOS. So I'm thinking that could have had something to do with it. Are these videos lost forever?

The track pad on the screen shows only the + sign on top of the tracking pad but the - sign has disappeared, in the panel it shows zoom at 1.0x. I have pressed the accessory bottom and the function for zoom in and out have disappeared as well. The letter commands on the key board for zooming in and out don't work either. I do tons of hangouts with my family and I noticed that I cant select the front camera anymore, just the rear or no camera. Today I looked into it a little further and now I dont have the front camera option within the camera application. It was there like 2 or 3 days ago. I am on 4.4.2 for about a week now so I am not 100% sure it was that broke the front camera.
