Apr 10, 2012iphone 4, latest software + itunes 10.6.1.7 running on windows 7.
I've had several problems lately. First off, itunes wouldn't show, even though the process was running in Windows Job List. Now, it pops up occasionally, but when I connect my iphone 4, it doesn't show in the left panel in itunes and hence can't sync.
I've tried rebooting, rebooting my iphone, reinstalling itunes, deleting everything apple, rebooting, reinstalling itunes, deleting everyhting apple AND vacuuming my Program Files folder and the shared folders with a third-party extermination program to make sure NOTHING was left. THEN reinstalling itunes, but to no avail.

The status bar reads complete, however, nothing happens. I was told to check my Location Services to verify I had it turned on for the FB app, however, upon doing this I realized the application no longer even shows up as an option within the Location Services. Essentially a small number of songs I purchased on the device have been duplicated as weird 'phantom' songs that don't play, don't have the artwork attached and have a weird 'stop' symbol next to each song. I cannot swipe to delete these songs on the device. I have removed all the music from the device and iTunes tells me there is precisely 0GB of audio on the device. There is nothing in my download queue on the device. While not a big deal, it's just a bit irritating, as every time I go to play the actual albums on the device, these 'phantom' songs appear in the tracklist, duplicating the actual songs, and halting the playback when it skips to them.
