IPhone :: 3G Contacts Not Appearing In ITunes
Mar 14, 2012I have an iphone 3g and recently purchased an ipad 2. I want to sync my contacts and calendar, but I don't see either in the info tab in itunes. What can I do?

Apr 10, 2012iphone 4, latest software + itunes 10.6.1.7 running on windows 7.
I've had several problems lately. First off, itunes wouldn't show, even though the process was running in Windows Job List. Now, it pops up occasionally, but when I connect my iphone 4, it doesn't show in the left panel in itunes and hence can't sync.
I've tried rebooting, rebooting my iphone, reinstalling itunes, deleting everything apple, rebooting, reinstalling itunes, deleting everyhting apple AND vacuuming my Program Files folder and the shared folders with a third-party extermination program to make sure NOTHING was left. THEN reinstalling itunes, but to no avail.

Mar 26, 2012I originally downloaded "Instagram" on my ipda, I tried to get it on my iphone 4s via my itunes and syncing.funny thing is it says in itunes that "Instagram" is on the my phone but it isnt appearing on my phone... there is just a blank spot where the "Instagram" icon should be....I have deleted it from my iphone and my ipad and sync'ed them and then deleted it from Itunes then I have downloaded it, but the same thing is happening.

Jul 2, 2012I cannot see my device in iTunes. I have tried using different USB ports, as well as different USB connection cables. I am using MacBook Pro using Mac OS X and iPhone IOS 5.1.1 (iPhone 4).
I used to see the device show up in my iTunes as a device and could manage which apps, etc to sync with. Now when I plug my iPhone in, it doesnt show up as a device at all. I have followed all of the diections by Apple Support at [URL]

Mar 23, 2012my iphone 4 and went onto itunes (latest version) to back it up and restore. After the restore, I got an error message saying that it couldn't restore the phone. However, now all I have on my iphone is the little itunes logo with a lead and an arrow pointing to it. I have tried to turn off and on the iphone - I have also tried a hard reset on the iphone but it keeps coming back with the same thing. The iphone is not showing up in itunes now either so I can't do anything there.

May 5, 2012I am trying to upload music to my iPhone 4 from iTunes. I can see my iPhone under the Devices section and can browser through the various tabs "Summary", "Info", etc. In the Music tab, I check the box to "Sync Music" and opt for "Selected playlists, artists, albums, and genres". I make my selection and can see the Capacity updating with the selections made. But then the only option I have is to click "Revert". I can see the "Apply" button, but it is greyed out - and cannot be selected. No "Sync" button appears.

May 9, 2012I purchased an album of Alert Tones off of iTunes, but they appear as music on my iPhone, instead of as tones so I can change my alerts in Settings > Sounds. All of the tones are only 3 - 5 seconds long, so they clearly are not "songs". I cannot figure out how to "move/convert" them to being sounds (alerts), not songs/music. What makes me even more crazy is that if I purchase a single tone, it will go into my Settings > Sounds as an alert/ringtone, but when I purchase the whole album of alert tones, they are saved as music.

Jun 24, 2012I have an iPhone 4S, running iOS 5.1.1 (9B206). About two weeks ago (not really sure when I noticed) a phone number appeared at the bottom of my Favorites list. The number is for a person that I deleted from Contacts some months ago. The number is not in the Contact list anywhere, the contact does not exist. I've tried recreating the contact (and Favorites then shows the name) and then deleting the contact, and its still there in the Favorites list. There is a facetime icon next to the number. If I turn off Facetime, the number disappears.

Apr 1, 2015When syncing my google contacts they suddenly do not appear. If i run diagnostic software it shows me 374 contacts have been found but no problems. At times when i select contacts it shows me the names but when i select the contact there is no information that comes up, it is just white. I go back and the contact names appear. I have tried removing my google account and readding, restarting and nothing seems to work. I can't really pinpoint to when it begun, it was intermittent then today I came home, looked at my phone and had a sync error message. The errors message seemed to indicate it was a result of google services update that must have run...
In additio to this If i go to messages the contact names appears aligned to a message, but if i dial a number manually it doesn't show me the contact name. If i recieve a call it also doesn't show me the name, only the number. I know 200% the contact is stored in google though.
When looking at the google sync options it all looks normal. Last synced is consistent with the rest. Doesn't matter if the contact is drawn from google, facebook, linked in or any other app it does not appear in the contacts list and if it does intermittently accessing the contact contains no information. It doesn't seem to be a google problem but rather a phone problem considering it is happening with all the contacts syned with out discriminating on application.

My Wildfire was replaced last week with the Wildfire S following a series of software issues. For some reason, only some of my contacts names & facebook links are showing in my SMS inbox - I'm just getting their phone number. It's not all the contacts, but a growing number leaving me with a string of unidentified phone numbers...
I've tried completely deleting a contact and putting it back in; waiting for them to text and adding to contacts; I've triple checked the numbers... I've exported, imported... and run out of options!! All those with problems worked before on my old phone, and as I say it's not all the contacts.
My network says it's HTC, HTC says it's my phone (on contract from Network)
