IPhone :: Cannot Find ITunes Ringtones - Not Appearing On 3G
Mar 24, 2012
I already have the ringtone tab and already move the ringtone that I make to the ringtone folder. However, I can't find it in my iphone. And the songs that i already converted is also in the ringtone folder. But for some reasons, when I check in my iphone, the ringtone that I already make just don't appear.
iphone 4, latest software + itunes 10.6.1.7 running on windows 7.
I've had several problems lately. First off, itunes wouldn't show, even though the process was running in Windows Job List. Now, it pops up occasionally, but when I connect my iphone 4, it doesn't show in the left panel in itunes and hence can't sync.
I've tried rebooting, rebooting my iphone, reinstalling itunes, deleting everything apple, rebooting, reinstalling itunes, deleting everyhting apple AND vacuuming my Program Files folder and the shared folders with a third-party extermination program to make sure NOTHING was left. THEN reinstalling itunes, but to no avail.
My iPhone isn't appearing in iTunes when I connect it to my computer, despite having no problems previously. I've turned both off and on again, and I don't think any of my software has changed recently, so not sure what to try next! Nothing appears on My Computer either...
I have an iphone 3g and recently purchased an ipad 2. I want to sync my contacts and calendar, but I don't see either in the info tab in itunes. What can I do?
I attempted to update the iPhone 4 to the latest iPhone update and now the iPhone screen is stuck on the iTunes icon and USB cable. The iPhone does not appear in the iTunes application.
Also, it appears that the iPhone has lost it's OS.
I originally downloaded "Instagram" on my ipda, I tried to get it on my iphone 4s via my itunes and syncing.funny thing is it says in itunes that "Instagram" is on the my phone but it isnt appearing on my phone... there is just a blank spot where the "Instagram" icon should be....I have deleted it from my iphone and my ipad and sync'ed them and then deleted it from Itunes then I have downloaded it, but the same thing is happening.
I cannot see my device in iTunes. I have tried using different USB ports, as well as different USB connection cables. I am using MacBook Pro using Mac OS X and iPhone IOS 5.1.1 (iPhone 4).
I used to see the device show up in my iTunes as a device and could manage which apps, etc to sync with. Now when I plug my iPhone in, it doesnt show up as a device at all. I have followed all of the diections by Apple Support at [URL]
I recently brought an iphone 4S and need to transfer images from my phone to computer. I have checked the option of synching photos but the photos do not appear in library and neither in iTunes (when my phone is connected to the computer) but they are there on my mobile and they appear on it but not in iTunes.
my iphone 4 and went onto itunes (latest version) to back it up and restore. After the restore, I got an error message saying that it couldn't restore the phone. However, now all I have on my iphone is the little itunes logo with a lead and an arrow pointing to it. I have tried to turn off and on the iphone - I have also tried a hard reset on the iphone but it keeps coming back with the same thing. The iphone is not showing up in itunes now either so I can't do anything there.
I am trying to upload music to my iPhone 4 from iTunes. I can see my iPhone under the Devices section and can browser through the various tabs "Summary", "Info", etc. In the Music tab, I check the box to "Sync Music" and opt for "Selected playlists, artists, albums, and genres". I make my selection and can see the Capacity updating with the selections made. But then the only option I have is to click "Revert". I can see the "Apply" button, but it is greyed out - and cannot be selected. No "Sync" button appears.
I recently tried to use custom tones on my i phone 3gs,i went through all the process of converting to aac, setting the 30 second time, changing the format to 4mr and putting it back into i tunes, its in the ringtone section of i tunes but it wont go into my actual ringtones section on the phone?
I purchased an album of Alert Tones off of iTunes, but they appear as music on my iPhone, instead of as tones so I can change my alerts in Settings > Sounds. All of the tones are only 3 - 5 seconds long, so they clearly are not "songs". I cannot figure out how to "move/convert" them to being sounds (alerts), not songs/music. What makes me even more crazy is that if I purchase a single tone, it will go into my Settings > Sounds as an alert/ringtone, but when I purchase the whole album of alert tones, they are saved as music.
I have taken the old steps for creating a ringtone in iTunes 8, going from a .mp3 to .m4a and then to .m4r, but once I have changed the file type from .m4a to .m4r and placed the ringtone in the music file in iTunes, the ringtone will show up in the Ringtones folder, but will not sync to my iPhone 3g. Also the file is only 35 seconds long. Any suggestions? If there is any other info you need let me know and I'll tell ya.
Last week I purchased three ringtones from iTunes directly from my iPhone and when I synced up my iPhone to my Mac just now, it removed those ringtones off my phone but now I can't figure out how to get them back on! I can see those ringtones in iTunes on my Mac but when I tell it to sync those ringtones back to my phone they never show up. What am I doing wrong?
I made several ringtones and changed the extension to .m4r but they don't show up in iTunes ringtone folder. I have done this before and it worked but can't get it now. I am using the latest iTunes and all songs are 30 seconds long. Thanks for any help!
I have sucessfully converted songs into acc files, deleted the converted files from iTunes (but not the computer), found the m4a files on the PC, converted them to m4r, transferred the m4r files back to iTunes and found them under "Tones".
What I cannot do is to get them to be found on my iPhone 3GS.
Syncing the iPhone does not appear to transfer the ringtones..
Info: iPhone 3GS, iOS 5.0.1, Windows 7 Home Premium wireless lap
i am trying to transfer ringtones that i download from an app to itune but i download itune on my pc and connected with iphone but dont know what to do next
I had both created and purchased ringtones on my iPhone4S. I did a full backup of my 4S to iTunes on my Mac. I restored my new iPhone6 from that backup. When I go into my Tones file in the iTunes App, it shows all the ringtones. They are checked. But, when I connect my phone and look at the iTunes App's Tones file of my device, the ringtones show up but most of them are grayed out and won't show up on my phone.
How do I get the ringtones that are grayed out to sync with my new phone? I have looked at their format- they are m4r.
I have unchecked all tones, synced, checked all, applied, and synced again. Nope.
"Sync only checked songs" is checked.
I found the ringtones in my history of purchases, but it was 2 years ago and when I try to report a problem, it says it's too old.
