IPhone :: ITunes Could Not Restore It Because An Error Occurred -1
Mar 28, 2012
After upgrade an iPhone 4 to os 5.1, I can't restore the backup : while restore I get the error iTunes could not restore the iphone because an error occurred -1. I tried to reset the iPhone, but it restores alwayds whit os 5 and not 4. Each time I connect the iPhone, il runs un recovery mode, but recovery fails with error -1.
My phone won't restore and keeps coming up with error 21 . My security settings on my home computer haven't changed and the phone was only restored about 2 months ago. I have tried disabling my anti virus and stuff, but it still won't restore.
i tunes said "cannot identify i phone unplug and plug again. to update. It was then downloading software for 17 minutes..and then froze with a usb arrow itunes logo on the screen.I have tried to restore and am getting "cannot restore unknown error has occurred 21"
Every since the last IOS update I keep getting this error. I tried several POC and phone resets and restarts. I tried removing the old backups and then reseting some more but I keep getting this error. "ITunes could not back up the iphone "iphone" because an error occurred". I searched online and I can't find any solutions that work. Is this Apples way of trying to force you to use iCloud or is there another way to restore my phone without using the restore function and losing my data?
I recently updated my iPhone 4 to 5.1.1 and updated my iTunes to 10.6.3. Today I tried syncing my iPhone and after letting iTunes create a backup, it showed me this dialog: "iTunes cannot backup iPhone [name] because an error occurred." There was no error code included. I tried everything, I deleted my backups (i backed them up first (backupception lol)), I uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes, I rebooted my PC and iPhone.
I have iPhone 4G when I connect to iTunes its showing error and error is "iTunes could not connect to this iPhone beacause an unknown error occurred (0xE8000001)".
Error Message: iTunes could not back up the iPhone because an error occurred. The thing is - I have no idea what error have I encountered! Usually, I would assume the previous backup file is corrupted and I will proceed to delete the old backups. I did the same this time round, and it's still unable to sync. Now I have no more backup files!I have tried -
1. Deleting old backup files.
2. Restarting iPhone 4S & iMAC.
3. Remove
I am using iOS 5.1 on iPhone 4S, and iTunes 10.6.1 on Mac OSX Lion. My phone is not jail-broken in the first place.
Info: iMAC 27", Mac OS X (10.6.4), 3.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
I've got a 16GB 3GS running iOS 4.0 and all of a sudden today the phone refuses to back up. iTunes is giving me the error "iTunes cannot back up the iphone because an error occurred."
It continues to sync after that and move apps and music around, but it won't back up. I tried again after that and it wouldn't sync calendars, contacts, notes, etc. Whats going on here?By the way this is on a Macbook with the newest updates for Snow Leapord and iTunes.
I was trying to update my iphone 4 to iOs 5...at the point where my phone should have been restored I received the message "iPhone cannot be restored. An unknown error occured (-1)" I have tried to disable my firewall and restart my computer. I have Windows 7. I have retried numerous times to restore to factory settings...the only change in result is (1) not (-1).
when i connect my iphone to my pc i get "itunes could not connect to this iphone. An unknown error occurred (0xE8000012) i have the correct itunes i also tried to reset my phone, i did this before i went to bed and it was still trying to reset when i woke the next day should it take this long?
There is this 2G iPhone that is (almost?) bricked.
As far as I know, the phone did work until recently, was not dropped, but suddenly got stuck at this screen:
The owner is not computer savvy, and is unsure whether the firmware has been updated (by chance or not).
Right now the phone is stuck at the "Restore needed" screen. What have I done so far: Put it in DFU, iTunes finds is, and tells me it needs to be restored; I have downloaded the 1.1.4, 2.2, and 3.1.2 firmwares for the 2G; I have tried to SHIFT+RESTORE many times, and every single time it ends up giving me error 23.
I tried all of the above-mentioned firmwares, have tried with iTunes 9.0.3, 8.2 and 7.5 MANY times - with the same result: Error 23.
There is something interesting: when I tap the "i" on the screen, it shows a windows that says: IMEI: Unknown, and ICCID: Unknown
I have searched online for a whole day now, and people say that this is related to a hardware problem with the modem; others said that it could be fixed by flashing w/ older firmware and older iTunes version - both of which I have tried.
So bottom line is that after all I have tried I am still nowhere. And ideas what else I could try?
Tried to reset my iphone and stupid me got caught in the deadly loop. Now I am trying to restore back to 3.1.3 and getting the not eligible error. Tried to redirect itunes to cydia per zollotech tutorial but not working.
I was trying to restore someone iPhone and got an error 1602 on iTunes and now I can't use the phone. It is stuck with the iTunes sync symbol on the phone and can not be restarted.
Info: iPhone 4S, Windows 7, just shows iTunes sync on the phone
I try to restore my iphone 4 on ios 5.1.1, but i have error 3194 in itunes and when i try to update my iphone over the air he says that i havn't the internet, but i connect to my wifi network.
i restored my iphone4 to factory settings because it was running slow and some apps werent working. My phone is now stuck in repair mode and is continually rebooting itself. I know the usual solution would be to restore via itunes but itunes will not allow me to do anything as i get the error "itunes cannot find disk"
I am trying to restore my i phone 3gs but an error message occurs at the end and it cannot finish off the process of retoring to factory settings through I tunes, my phone will not let me call out or receive calls in it says it needs to be restored or updated through I tunes which is becoming very annoying now..
I am unable to restore my iPhone through iTunes. I keep getting an error code 21 after trying recovery mode. I've followed work around instructions on apple, but no luck. Also because the phone will not turn on I am unable to locate serial number for the device.
