Jun 9, 2012I attempted to update my iphone 3 using itunes. I'm not certain but I believe I did a backup on my pc first. I am now unable to use the phone at all - the slide bar won't move and I have a camera icon next to the slide bar which is not responsive. I have tried to sync and even left the phone connected to the pc overnight. The phone is going flat within a couple of hours and won't stop beeping every few seconds and seems to be syncing all the time, even when disconnected from pc. I am fearful that I have lost all my contacts - nothing is working?

I unplug my iphone and now there's a picture of a usb connecting to an iphone. However, it won't restore to my computer because it says everytime it says there's an error that occurred. Dec 3, 2014A few days ago my Iphone 5 screen went black and would not turn on or anything but it would still vibrate and if i held down the home button the little siri sound would go off. This had happened once before a short while ago and i just let the phone die all the way then charged it and it worked fine so that's what i did this time. When it came back on this time though, it was still just black but it would also be flashing the apple logo.
I tried a bunch of things that people were suggesting online and watched youtube vidoes but nothing seemed to work, also every once in a while it would go to the lock screen and i swiped and pushed home and stuff and nothing would happen it just said it was searching where it would usually say verizon. Once while the screen was doing this i held power and the home button which is what many of these youtube videos said to do and it worked, telling me to connect it to itunes for the recovery process.
Once it was connected to itunes i tried to update it to ios8 and it seemed to be working at first but then it said unkown error and when i tried to restore it the same thing happened, i tried both of these multiple times with the same result.

Apr 26, 2012I've an iPhone 4s 64gb iOs 5.0.1 for 3 weeks now, but still can't sync it w/ iTunes at all, I've tried iTunes version 10.5.3.3 and version 10.6.1.7 but both of them stuck on backing up (step 2 of 6).
I'm using win7 64bit. Reseting the iPhone and reinstall iTunes doesn't help at all.
And when I plug the iPhone4s to the laptop the lockscreen slider (where it used to say 'slide to unlock') didn't change to 'slide to cancel sync' or something like that (if it should have been that way) but there's two arrow circling on the upper left of the screen tho.

I have tried updating via the PC Compnanion but that is useless and and I get absolutely nowhere. When I queried this with Sony they said its a common problem ( ! ) and I should update the software online. They did warn that this might cause loss of data and so I should back-up the data on the phone first. When I asked them how I do this no-one bothered to reply. Is there anyone out there who can tell me how to do this as Sony aren't interested.
