IPhone :: How The Safari History On A 4s , IPod And IPad Works
Jun 17, 2012
how the safari histroy on an iPhone, iPod and iPad works? I have children that use these devices and would like to be able to keep a track of them and what they are doing but I can't figure out how the history works, are they deleting it or is the device, I know my iPhone deletes the history on it but I have no real idea how it works or when it does it.
Anyone else have this issue? I am trying to decide if I want to restore and setup as a new phone and work through everything again or just let it pass ip4, 4.0.1, jb, sync with mac.
my history function of safari stopped working since when I tried to turn on wifi in johnlewis store this afternoon. last 2dayes of history has been removed and the bars which you can see on top and bottom of the screen when you use Internet turn to black as well.
After updating to the most recent iOS update, I found out that the history in safari doesn't work anymore. My history folder is blank and I can't see any of the websites I have visited.
Safari only works on wifi. the other phones are working fine my iPhone 5 is the only one having problems. Tried clearing cookies and history and did a hard reset. What else can I do?
When trying to access web pages on Safari I get the message "Safari cannot open this page because it is not connected to the interent" This only happens when I try to use my 3G, WiFi works fine. This stops me from using Facebook, Twitter and other internet based apps when Im out the house Any ideas how to fix this? Im using a 16GB iPhone 4 running iOS 5.0.1
I am always using manually manage my videos and mp3 s 5.0.1 ipad with many computer.just bought an iphone with 5.1.1, and i realize this function HT1202 manually manage now was disabled for many computers/itunes management. Every time it manually manage checked on default computer [home] and the iphone plugged into another computer the manually manage not checked. If i checked at those other computer , it will erase and sync. This not happen on 5.0.1 ipad, it still checked at other computers, so i can drag and drop as i want. The itunes said now only able to manually manage only 1 iphone (5.1.1) library/itunes/computer only.
I have an iphone but at my house we have an ipad and ipod touch that my younger sister uses to message her friends (she doesn't have a cell phone). The problem is, when her friends Facetime or imessage her, it also sends to my iphone, Especially when it's a group conversation between 6 fifth grade girls sending 30 messages in 5 minutes!
There has been a number of reports that the iPhone 4 micro sim does not work in the iPad. I have just got my O2 uk iPhone 4 micro sim to work in my iPad and this is how. On your iPhone 4 go to settings> general> network>cellular data network and make a note of the cellular data APN, username and password. Then remove your micro sim and put in the iPad. It will appear not to work. However go to settings>cellular data>APN settings and insert the settings you noted down from the iPhone 4. It will work and you can use you iPhone 4 data account.
Will a screen saver or 'display sleep' stop the remote from working? My mac is set to never sleep, but when I activate it after long periods of inactivity I notice that my Wi-Fi has to reconnect. I'm assuming the wi-fi drops out while the mac is not in use (though itunes is still playing music), and I cannot connect via the Remote app.
I don't know what the password is, nor do I remember setting one.How do I find out what the password is and how can i backup without it?iPhone is currently bare, as I was updating and now trying to restore backup and it keeps asking for password
I have a 3GS, it was jailbroken for me, but not only that, it was running on Ipad software. I was told the reason was at the time there weren't any hacks for the 3GS software due to the 4 being out and the ipad as well. phone ran well no issues. Finally have a computer, a iMac to be exact. I've been syncing without problems. Today, I updated my iPhone. I was told not to. but forgot since I had the phone "worked on" last year, and really wasnt thinking. The phone was restored to factory settings, I can get as far as the wi-fi set up. But I can not activate the cellular part of the phone. On iTunes, its saying there isn't a sim card installed. I took it out and reinstalled. Still nothing.
