IPhone :: Movable Safari Tabs On IOS Devices
Jun 15, 2012While using my iPhone today I realized that there does not seem to be a way to move the position of tabs within safari.
I had 6 tabs open, and just based off of intuition, I tried to move a tab's location by pressing/holding onto one thinking that it would eventually shake and become movable. I was surprised to see that nothing happened and that there did not seem to be any way to rearrange tabs in safari on an iPhone (and I would assume iPad as well, but I cannot test that until later tonight).
What do you guys think about the possibility of adding the functionality to press/hold onto a tab in safari to have it shake and become movable. I think it follows the "you already know how to use it before you use it" mentality and would would be used by many users, especially if this functionality is not already on the iPad.

Jun 11, 2010I read this in a post somewhere on the forums and I just want to make sure. Could someone with a 3GS on iOS4 verify this by opening up Safari, opening up 8 full sized webpages (not mobile formatted webpages), going back to the home screen and opening up the most graphic/memory intensive app you have (Real Racing or something), playing around with it for a bit and then going back into Safari and checking each tab for content?

Aug 30, 2014My phone was given to me by someone else but I did a complete reset and deleted their data and started using the phone.Everything was fine until I went on to a few questionable websites. Having clicked a few links, I found that new tabs were spontaneously opening in the safari browser and the app store kept kicking me out of my web session and inviting me to install some app.Â
As far as I am knowledgable, the phone is not jailbroken (if it was this would have been rectified when I did the reset, correct?).And as far as I know, the phone is very much safe, as long as it is not jailbroken, from malware etc. I did yet another reset, several intact, and I had a similar issue. This time though when I did the latest reset I did not include my iCloud and apple id credentials during the set up for fear of getting hacked. Â
The problem now is I have the issue on the phone, there is a lot of data, numbers and pictures I would like to transfer to my computer but I am 1) fearful of connecting it and 2) afraid to type in an email and password to send my data to myself, or even sync everything with iCloud.Â
The phone is also terribly slow, I don't know if this is a malware problem or if it is, as I read others have said the same online, the phone being too underpowered to support iOS 7.Â

1. I browse to a blog page.
2. select Google from bookmarks.
3. clear history from browser while on the Google page pressing the upper right corner icon.
4. open browser settings, clear history and cache.
5. press the back key and I'm back to the blog page.If I reboot the phone, the history is effectively cleared.

Why is there no noticeable way to manage the goddamn 1GB of onboard memory so that this DOES NOT HAPPEN? It's unbelievably ridiculous, as opposed to e-mails there is NO backup for SMSes, which can often be quite personal and irreplaceable.Is there any way I can get them back? NO phone has ever done this before! Windows Mobile, PalmOS, Symbian ALL keep ALL messages, even a 10$ Nokia would tell you the memory is full without deleting anything!!

Jun 22, 2010I upgraded my iphone 3gs to iOS4, all was fine i thought until i wanted to watch the french get knocked out the world cup using the itv world cup 2010 app i open the app, it then closes immediately! so i turn off phone, turned it back on then opened the app again, it attempts to open, then it closes after a couple of seconds
so i delete the app from the iphone, and also my itunes library. then i re-downloaded it.
synced my iphone and then checked the app again and it still WON'T open! so i tried my other apps and the only other one i can see that also closes upon opening is the BatteryDoctor Pro app which i paid for! is anyone else having this problem?

Jul 20, 2010I have a Blackberry Curve 8310 with a data plan and I recently did an OS upgrade using the update feature on the phone itself. However, after the upgrade I noticed that my memo pad and task data were cleared out which seems odd to me, because it spent a good chunk of time creating a backup, and after the update the core data, communication data, and calendar data remained intact.
This is somewhat stressing because I had typed a few ideas out on my phone's memo pad and had not backed them up (slap on the hand for me), and now I no longer have access to them.

I've tried saving pictures taken with my camera, screenshots, and downloaded pictures but every time i open the gallery, it's completely empty. i haven't changed the storage method from internal to sd memory so I'm at a loss.
