How do I get the % of battery left to display?

I have a red cross on top of my display (left of battery)
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've had my iPhone 5 since April 2013. From the start I knew I'd have to accept that the battery was going to drain quicker than I was used to, but I was prepared to accept it due to knowing that I was getting a high quality phone.Â
Things were as expected until 3 or 4 months ago. Since then, if my phone doesn't get used for 3-4 hours it can go down 5-6% (as I would accept), however, when I am using it, it shoots down. I can go to work at 9, finish at 5 and have 80 odd percent left. By 6, once I've had some basic usage, it can be down to 50%. This is far quicker loss than I've experienced in the past. This has included dropping by 10-15% in one instant as has happened on numerous occasions.Â
A further issue is that my phone can be displaying up to 45% battery (the highest it's happened) and turn off when I'm using it. If I try to turn it on it says that I need to plug it into a power source. If I leave it 20-30 minutes then it will turn back on and say that I've got the amount of battery that I was supposed to have when I turned it off. If I use it to do nothing but check the time it stays this way, if I try to use any other function then it turns off after 30 seconds or so. Once I get it plugged in (from being 'dead') it will start charging from 20/30/40% (wherever it went off at).Â
Particularly if I know I'm going to be out for a while and won't have access to a charger. I can't base what battery the phone's telling me I have on what I actually have to use. I always close apps after I've used them, background app refresh is off, I only have wi-fi running regularly (no bluetooth, mobile data, 3g etc.)Â

I had played Vainglory for just 3 hour and the battery life is 10% left, is this normal to iPhone 6 plus? I used my home wifi.

What can I do to get this fixed? It's unbelievably frustrating. Particularly if I know I'm going to be out for a while and won't have access to a charger. I can't base what battery the phone's telling me I have on what I actually have to use.Â

When I was playing around with the iPhone 4 at the Apple Store I noticed that next to the battery level icon it read "100%", seemingly indicating the exact percantage of how much juice is left in the battery. However, it's not showing up on mine. Is there a setting I need to toggle or something?

My display is off center a bit, hate to return it, but it is driving me a bit nuts. The display hangs past the metal frame just a bit, enough to notice.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI was working out today and I left the iPhone in my car. My car was in a parking garage with a little heat. When I returned, the phone had drained 60 percent battery and there was a yellow spot on the bottom right of the screen. The yellow spot quickly went away after a few minutes of usage, but it was definitely there.
Is this normal for a phone to behave like this if exposed to heat?
My battery icon from time to time moves to the left. I've done some search but couldn't find if anyone else is having a similar issue. I'm on 4.0 iphone 4 stock. Jailbroken, Unlocked. I'm not sure if I remember this occurrence before the jailbreak.
View 20 Replies View RelatedI left my iPhone 5s to fully discharge last night. Today I have come to charge it up and it wont boot up past the Apple logo and charge up. It appears to keep throwing itself back to thinking the charger is repeatedly being plugged in. The phone was working perfectly before I went to bed.Â
I use original leads, have cleaned the connection port, tried another lead but no luck. I have held both buttons down etc but nothing will get the phone working and as I cannot get into ISO I can not do a restore.Â

View 1 Replies View RelatedI left my phone in the rain and did my best at drying it out. On recharging the red light goes off after a couple of minutes and soon after a battery with a red cross icon appears on the screen .Does this mean the battery, phone and sim card are wrecked. Does the water short out the junctions on the processor, power management, screen etc? Can anything be saved?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI plugged my iPhone in and thought it wasn't charging as the battery indicator didn't go up. I realised shortly after that once I restarted the phone it then showed the correct reading. Then the battery display stopped working completely unless I once again restarted the phone. In an attempt to make the display work again I went into settings and reset it. However although this did update the battery it didn't make the display work. So I then performed a hard reset holding down the on/off button and home at the same time with the same result. I also noticed before I did a hard reset the battery was on 35%. After the reset it was on 45%. I plugged the phone into my MacBook and it went up to 65% straight away. I unplugged it and for a short while could still look at the battery life by restarting the phone. Now however this has also stopped working and the battery won't change through any reset either. I charged the phone up to 100% through my MacBook in some hope of jogging it into working again but this has also failed. The phone is now stuck on 100%. I have already restored the phone because of a different issue and I doubt restoring it again would help. The only other solution I know of that I haven't tried is draining the battery then recharging the phone up to 100% again to try to recalibrate the display.

My iphone 6 doesn't display the battery duration and standby in battery settings, and replaces the values with - even if I completely charged my battery last time.
View 6 Replies View RelatedMy iphone 4s recently started shutting off and on unexpectedly when updating a whole load of snapchat story's on my feed. It is displayed or a discharge - a red silhouette, or charging for 100 %.All night long costs on recharge after that all the same displays a red silhouette. After a while changes or for 100 %, or BB hangs and displays the picture with a request to "take out-insert" the accumulator. After a certain operating time again a saltus from 100 % for a discharge. In case of resets (alt+shift+del) there is a date and time rollback. Today it was rolled away till November 07, 2012. Manually it is necessary to correct. Occasionally in case of the following restart BB returns to real time.Refirmware on fresher version (569th) tried.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI bought SE Xperia Pro a few days ago, and everything on this phone is great except the battery life. It only last's one day max with min. usage. Main battery spender is display, with 59%, even with all options turned off, besides auto rotation. It rises by !% every day. I don't know if this is some software bug or else, current Android is 2.3.4 version. Would update on 4.0
View 1 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to have the battery percentage at the top of my screen? If so how?
View 10 Replies View Relatedi am happy to join this forum with all of you,, i just got SGS II from 2 days i noticed that in the 1st day the battery was going well but after i installed some programs and games the battery drain become X2 than 1st day ( 1st day i was testing it and opening options and trying app. and it stay for 1 day and 5 hours approximately. but after installing the games and apps it still for 1 days and 6 hours but without using it as much as 1st day i tried to check the battery usage and i found that every thing is low and good but the display usage became over 76% no widget just 6 and the other pages have been removed all applications in background closed, brightness set on 30% approximately finally android v is 2.3.3.

I had strange apps using up my battery after I did the upgrade.I managed to get them under control using the cache clear, restart, and *288 option 2 but now I'm seeing my battery life fading quickly again and noticed my screen is using up 50%.Is that normal battery usage for Display? I have my display set to auto brightness, no auto rotate, no roaming banners and time out 2 minutes
View 7 Replies View RelatedSince day 1 on my Lumia 950 - unlocked, the screen brightness settings are not sticking. When I wake the phone from sleep (but not always) the screen is very bright. I have to manually switch through the screen brightness on the quick nav panel - 25% - 50% - 75% - 100% - 25% in order to get it to stick at 25%. Sometimes the auto brightness needs to be flipped off then on again for it to work. It is very inconsistent and I can't really figure out how to reproduce this.
In Battery Use, my Display uses 69.2% of the battery, even with my obsessive reset of the screen brightness. It was over 75% before I realized the gorgeous screen is partly gorgeous because it's almost retina scarring bright.
