I have a BB Curve 8302. Yesterday the battery depleted unusually fast (with in about 2-3 hrs with hardly any use). I put it on the charger for about 3hrs. Still showed the battery symbol (top left) as dead. And the words low battery below the clock. I left it charge over night. Still same thing. I put the battery into a friends 8320 & it showed fully charged no problem at all. I can access the phone if I have it plugged into the computer or charger. But the moment I disconnect it says something along the lines of "battery drained powering down". And it turns off my phone. So I have discovered there wasn't anything wrong with the battery. So is there something wrong with the phone? Or is there something wrong with the firmware? Even when I go to the wrench Icon & check battery level from there, it say 0% for charged. What can I do?

View 2 Replies View RelatedOver the past couple of months, my iPhone 3GS has had dead spots on the left side of the screen, preventing me from using the r, d and x keys, the number 4 and the semi colon and comma keys.Just a note; I can't put my phone to sleep or turn off as my lock button isn't working, so I'm using the AssistiveTouch settings.

I left my phone in the rain and did my best at drying it out. On recharging the red light goes off after a couple of minutes and soon after a battery with a red cross icon appears on the screen .Does this mean the battery, phone and sim card are wrecked. Does the water short out the junctions on the processor, power management, screen etc? Can anything be saved?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've had an N97 for 5 months, yesterday my battery drained completely, a normal drained, I didn't try to turn it on. I connected the charger to the phone and the white screen with nokia came up (first the white screen, then the blue nokia word). The usual symbol for the battery didn't show up. I left it like that, thinking it was charging. Then, I tried to turn on the phone but it didn't turn on, it stayed with the white nokia screen. I tried taking the battery off and putting it again and the same happened, checked the battery with a firend, it actually charged to 6 bars, but my phone won't start (also, tested with my friend's N97 battery). Connecting to PC has the same problem, the Pc doesn't realize something is connected.
Tried to leave it alone for without touching, and waiting hours for the white nokia screen to go away but nothing happens.
How do I remove the Battery Icon (100) on the UPPER LEFT of the S5?
I tried this under battery settings but that only removes the battery setting on the UPPER RIGHT which I want to keep.
why is my phone showing invalid sim and sos only in top left corner, currently using pre paid?

I have iOS 7.1.2. I have an iPhone 5 64 GB with Verizon. I wished to restore my phone to a previous time. I have a backup file from December 6th 2014, November 27 2014, and January 1 2014. The backup files are anywhere from 30-35 GB. When I attempt to restore my phone, it takes a long time, typically 4ish hours. I have tried multiple backups and am getting the same error Â
It will run fine the ENTIRE time, then when it gets to 0 minutes left and completes, I get an error. It tells me that the backup is corrupt or not compatible with the iPhone that I am using. All of these backup files were created within Itunes. All of these backup files were created with the same phone I am trying to restore to. I have no other iphones, iPad, or apple devices. I am restoring from a PC with an Intel i7 processor. I am running no other programs while iTunes is restoring and I have updated to the most current version of iTunes.Â
Why are my backups considered corrupt or incompatible and how do I fix this?Would updating my phone to iOS 8 hinder this?Is there a program or way that I can get the data/photos from the backup files.

How do I get the % of battery left to display?
Info:
iPhone 4S
I've had my iPhone 5 since April 2013. From the start I knew I'd have to accept that the battery was going to drain quicker than I was used to, but I was prepared to accept it due to knowing that I was getting a high quality phone.Â
Things were as expected until 3 or 4 months ago. Since then, if my phone doesn't get used for 3-4 hours it can go down 5-6% (as I would accept), however, when I am using it, it shoots down. I can go to work at 9, finish at 5 and have 80 odd percent left. By 6, once I've had some basic usage, it can be down to 50%. This is far quicker loss than I've experienced in the past. This has included dropping by 10-15% in one instant as has happened on numerous occasions.Â
A further issue is that my phone can be displaying up to 45% battery (the highest it's happened) and turn off when I'm using it. If I try to turn it on it says that I need to plug it into a power source. If I leave it 20-30 minutes then it will turn back on and say that I've got the amount of battery that I was supposed to have when I turned it off. If I use it to do nothing but check the time it stays this way, if I try to use any other function then it turns off after 30 seconds or so. Once I get it plugged in (from being 'dead') it will start charging from 20/30/40% (wherever it went off at).Â
Particularly if I know I'm going to be out for a while and won't have access to a charger. I can't base what battery the phone's telling me I have on what I actually have to use. I always close apps after I've used them, background app refresh is off, I only have wi-fi running regularly (no bluetooth, mobile data, 3g etc.)Â

How can be sure if my iPhone 3G battery is dead or just needs a recharge?

My iphone 4 has suddenly stopped charging for some reason. I've had no signs of battery problems at all before this.
I've read that some people have managed to fix this problem by doing a hard reset, but my battery was dead before I tried charging it so I can't do this. (when I try I get the connect to power image) I've checked the phone for any signs of lint etc, and cant see anything obvious.
I've tried multiple cables and adapters and the usb slot on my macbook and none of these get any response at all. When I plug into a speaker dock I have got, I get the connect to power supply image on the screen.
The phone is 2 years old (almost to the day) seems they have made it last the exact length of my contract Was wanting to hold off upgrading till the next iphone comes out
My iPhone 4 got submerged in water for 5 minutes, I somehow got it working after all. Now, the phone will only turn on when connected to the charger (the battery is probably dead). The phone displays the apple logo then procceeds to the connect to iTunes screen. The problem is that since the phone wont hold a charge and only works when connected, I can't get the computer to recognize it when it's plugged in because it's turned off and dead. So since the computer won't recognize it, it won't give power to it, thus; making it not plug into iTunes.

When I was playing around with the iPhone 4 at the Apple Store I noticed that next to the battery level icon it read "100%", seemingly indicating the exact percantage of how much juice is left in the battery. However, it's not showing up on mine. Is there a setting I need to toggle or something?

Like I said I plug the phone in at night before bed. When I wake up in the morning, with the phone still plugged in, the phone is unresponsive. Pressing the home button brings up the "iPhone-is-charging-please-wait" icon, indicating that its out of battery power but will power up when its ready. So, I wait, and wait, and wait, and finally it powers up to reveal that the battery power is at 100%. iPhone 4, appx 1 year old not jailbroken no problems otherwise What's going on?

My mums iPhone 4 with iOS 5.1.1 had 30% battery left this morning then 10mins later I tried calling her and it rang out and went to voicemail.. 5mins later she noticed phone was unresponsive and had a black screen and pressing buttons wouldn't do anything oh and she didn't feel the phone vibrate or ring when i was calling... so after pressing both unlock circle and top button and putting on charge it appeared the phone had lost all battery power.
So the phone went from 30% to 0% in a matter of 15mins? We think the phone may still be under apple 1yr warrant but not sure. But any else experienced this issue and is there any I can do or should it be taken back to apple to look at?

I was working out today and I left the iPhone in my car. My car was in a parking garage with a little heat. When I returned, the phone had drained 60 percent battery and there was a yellow spot on the bottom right of the screen. The yellow spot quickly went away after a few minutes of usage, but it was definitely there.
Is this normal for a phone to behave like this if exposed to heat?
My battery icon from time to time moves to the left. I've done some search but couldn't find if anyone else is having a similar issue. I'm on 4.0 iphone 4 stock. Jailbroken, Unlocked. I'm not sure if I remember this occurrence before the jailbreak.
View 20 Replies View RelatedI left my iPhone 5s to fully discharge last night. Today I have come to charge it up and it wont boot up past the Apple logo and charge up. It appears to keep throwing itself back to thinking the charger is repeatedly being plugged in. The phone was working perfectly before I went to bed.Â
I use original leads, have cleaned the connection port, tried another lead but no luck. I have held both buttons down etc but nothing will get the phone working and as I cannot get into ISO I can not do a restore.Â
