When trying to update apps on my iPhone 4s I get a message that there is not enough storage available. How do I make more storage available?

Ever since I got my Nokia 2320 (which for some unknown reason is not listed on this site) back in December, it ran slow when I turned it on and took a few minutes (up to five) to what I call "recall the messages and remember it could send messages." But lately the time it takes to recall the messaging is longer and longer. A couple days ago it took me 27 hours. This time, its been 30. I read on another site about a guy who had this same message on this same phone and it had been 3 days and the problem had still not corrected itself. I want to know what is happening, why, and how to fix it. I called my carrier customer service and have been on the phone with them on and off for about a month about it. They have NO CLUE what it is.

Soft reset, hard reset, deleted all but 21 pics, and only 11 apps left. No music, no videos, and yet i still get the message "storage almost full". Even after deleting a 395MB app, it still says Storage almost full. And to add insult to injury, after the last soft reset, when I access mail, it downloads all messages from the server, then shuts mail down. When I open it again, the same thing.Â

I recently managed to convince my wife to update to iOS 7 and have all the latest updates as well. It seems that ever since then we've been getting a "Storage almost full" message on all of our devices. Â
I restored both of our phones to factory recently so there's literally nothing on them except for a few pictures now and some apps. The iPad has nothing on it except for iCloud pictures and some music.Â
The Storage almost full message does go away if we restart the afflicted device.Â

I just purchased the new iPhone 6 16GB.upgrade jump T-mobile not paid in full $700.Nevertheless, why do I keeping getting a message about storage full? And it says...Go to setting and manage storage with iCloud. I have deleted most of the app, photo, and just about everything else, and still keep getting this message. It's almost as if I will be paying additional 3.99-19.99 a month to manage the icloud for apps that I already had. Perhaps this is the gimmicks to order the 64GB iPhone 6. In fact, the 64GB is offered as an upgrade to new or additional line customers. Come On give us a break for the loyal customers Geezh!!
Plus can't even upgrade software update to iOS8.1.1 because there is not enough storage. What sense does that make to even upgrade to the new iPhone 6

I am having an issue with a weird error code that I have gotten since day 1 of owning my torch. Everytime I do a BP when the phone boots up I am getting an error that says, "122 Error Invalid Number. Please re-send using a valid 10 digit mobile number or valid short code. Activatet=6"
I get this same error code when trying to set up my visual voicemail. When someone leaves a message I get that 122 Error as well as another error sent from 1000000000 that just has a garbled message. My VVM has been reset twice by at&t and I have been told that everything is provisioned correctly. I was hoping that .214 would fix this issue but still it persists.
My iphone 4 will not complete restore as error message says unknown error(1).

Error Message: iTunes could not back up the iPhone because an error occurred. The thing is - I have no idea what error have I encountered! It was working great until I connected it to the computer for first time and did the updates and backup suggested. I now get the message "Built in storage media is not accessible due to fatal errors". I also lost all the ringtones. Being a non-techie I did not connect the two. The next time I connected to the computer to backup etc and to download ringtones because mine were gone, all the wallpaper that comes with the device was gone. I have connected again to back up my blackberry andtried to restore to see if that helps, it does not. I did try to reformat my Built in storage media but it did not get rid of the error message and now I donot even see built in storage media coming up when I am in device options.
I have an HTC phone with a cooked ROM but it freezes every time this storage memory error pops up w/ an ok button that i cannot press (cuz its frozen obv): storage memory is critically low. if storage memory is not increased, other programs may not be able to start. use file explorer to delete files that are no longer needed or move some files to a storage card.right after it displays this critical message the phone is frozen. i cannot press ok and everytime i reset, the message pops up again. is there some way i can get the phone to boot up equivalent to safe mode in windows so i can delete some files? i do not want to lose all my contacts again.
activesync worked while it was frozen and i managed to free up a meg of space. good enough, heh. however, i do not want it to happen again. i have this file: cprog.log that's about 80mb? which i cannot delete (sharing violation) located in the DebLogger. is there someway to remove this?can i delete such files as facebook.vol, cemail.vol, etc?can i make it so msn msgs, txt msgs, emails, attachments are saved in my 2gb mem card instead of locally?
I store all my messages on memory card but yesterday suddenly the memory option switched back to phone.I couldn't see my memory card messages on pc suite as I couldn't switch back to memory card option.
I can see pictures and songs stored on memory card.Can even add new but the only problem is I can't swtich back to memory card as far as messages are concerned.
Whether I press yes or no in the option it only gives me the error saying ' Unable to move message storage'.
I don't mind losing messages, but I would like to store the ones from now on on memory card. And if you say it is corrupt, how many maximum number of messages can be stored on phone memory?
I have a Nokia C3-01 touch and type phone that I dropped this morning and ever since then I keep getting the error message "message storage memory not ready" when i try and go to my text messages. It was purchased SIM-free in June 2011 and has been running with an Orange UK SIM until 2 days ago when I switched it over to GiffGaff.
I wanted to try to preserve some text messages, but not sure if they are on the old SIM or in phone/SD memory.
I did have to perform a reset on swapping the SIM in order to re-authenticate the Motoblur account. If the messages are in the phone memory, will the reset actually over-write, or can they be retrieved with forensic software (I'm basically competent in use of forensic software).
I have an iPhone 5 and its at full capacity. Mostly due to my large music library. I noticed I can increase my iCloud storage to up 50GB with yearly payments. Does this increase the overall storage on the iPhone 5? Essentially, I am trying to increase how much music I can hold on my iPhone. If I add 10 to 20GB of iCloud storage, will I be able to add more data (audio files) to my iPhone?

View 10 Replies View RelatedI got the N97 on the basis of the maps and GPS stuff. Problem is I have never managed to download maps. I'm using mao loader 3.0.28.0 and Map version 0.1.23.112 both freshly downloaded and installed. There's 24.2GB free memory and my selcted map is175.5MB. When I try to downlad maps I get one of 3 things. The download hangs at about 30-40% I know my internet connection is fine because I'm browsing. The download completes and I get an unknown error when save to storage medium starts. I get a storage medium disconnected message. I've tried it on a desktop and a laptop pc. I've done a full reset on the phone and started all over again. I've trawled all the boards and blogs that come up in google and no one seems to have an answer. I'm starting to get very hacked off with how much of my time is getting soaked up getting nowhere.

0) I have two message in my Inbox, Remove and replace the battery and switch on the device. After that I format E:Mass Storage and close File manager
1) In Messaging Options I select Settings and than Other and change the Memory in user to E:Mass Storage
2) I'm asked if I'd like to "copy all messages to the new message memory". I click on "Yes"
3) I'm asked if I'd like to "Save original messages" and I click "No" as I'd like to use the new stoage exclusively
After that the Inbox is empty.
everytime i unplug my phone from my charger its comes up with a message saying built in media storage not working, please repair or format so when i click thaat it says unable to repair or fix!!! ive tried wiping bb but still no joy.

Ive recently bought a SanDisk 32gb MicroSDHC card class 4. When I inserted the card into my phone I get the above message? I've tried to format the card and get the following message 'media card format failed'. Win 7 does not recognize the card when I first plugged in my phone by USB cable the install driver fails. This failing has happened on 3 computer 2 win 7 and one XP.
I have done the normal things like battery pulls and deleting the driver and letting it reinstall reboots and reinstall programs. I also have the most current programs off the website.I also have tried putting the SD card in the slot on my laptop (3 different cards in an adapter) and none are able to transfer files without lagging into never never land.Everything else seems to work just fine. But I would like to be able to transfer photos and music and at this rate I can't transfer them at all.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI just got a Transcend 16gb class 6 Micro SDHC yesterday. Everything went well until I put it in my Torch 9800and formatted it like it requested. Afterwards I received the media card fatal error.Here's where it getrs strange: I assumed the card had corrupted, but upon using the adapter to access it on the computer, it worked fine there. Tried reformatting from the comp, still works on the comp., but upon insertion in the phone, fatal error. I tried puting it in my old 8520, works like a charm, no issues. Tried reformatting using the 8520, still a fatal error when inserted into the Torch. My old card that I was using was a Transcend 8gb Class 6, Which still functions with no probs.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI woke up this morning and i found out that mail for exchange is unable to get new emails because my user storage is full. I only have about 15 emails in my inbox and yet it is unable to check for new emails and it tells me synchronization failed. So I checked the phone memory and i only have 116.5 MB for installable applications and 18 GB for phone memory. i dont understand why i only have 116.5 Mb for my installable applications i only have about 60 applications and each is only a couply of KBs from the extras repo and from ovi and nothing from extras testing or devel. i have a couple of TV shows and movies. so what could be causing this and is there a way to exactly find out why i am low on memory and fix it. i am able to get email for my gmail account and aol account.
