IPhone :: Get Siri To Recognize Any Particular Word?
May 28, 2012
Siri hears 'Evie' as 'easily'. I have tried exaggerating how I say it to 'eeevee' but that makes no difference. I've also tried saying it with a short 'e' at the beginning but again no luck.
I purchased the 4S solely for safety of using Siri while driving. The normal response is that it does not understand my request. Or I am cut off in mid sentence. "Call Beth Cell" is not a long request. Nor is "Call Karen Work". Yet, Siri can't respond. Windows are up, air conditioner is quiet, radio is off. I have tried using the Apple headphones that came with the phone, tried without. No difference.
Last week I spent the entire 45 minute drive home working with Siri to call my wife to let her know I was on my way home.
Siri is hellbent not to operate properly. And I wasted my $200 to go to 4S.
Btw, tilt back doesn't work sine latest up date 5.1.1. Where you bring the phone to your ear at home screen, so I must hold the button!
I have the impression that perhaps everyone has their very own, personal iPhone. But in our case, my wife and I share one (so far) that we just received. Reading up on Siri, I gather I (John) am suppose to introduce myself to Siri, tell Siri my wife's name, and get Siri to recognize my voice. But can my wife tell this same Siri who her husband is? Will Siri learn to recognize her voice? Or will all this overwhelm Siri?
I have two different contacts on my phone. These are Lesley and Lesley India. When I ask Siri to call Lesley I am asked which one I want to call being given the options of Lesley or Lesley India. If I state just Lesley then Siri asks me the same question i.e. Lesley or Lesley India. My old iPhone 3GS could work this out fine but Siri can't!
How do I remove a 'wife' from iPhone. I told Siri that my partner was my wife then I married her and changed her contact details and now Siri thinks I have two wives and asks which one when I ask Siri to call or send a message.
I am looking for an app that would let me composea lst of things or items that I could use as a referene.Windows has word pad and note pad, is there an appfor the iPhone 4s?
Is there an app that handles all of these in one (kind of like docs2go on BB)? Or at the very least a good pdf viewer... and then how do I go about actually getting the pdf files on my iphone?
I really don't need to edit anything, but I have word docs that I need to access occassionally and there doesn't seem to be an easy way to save them to the phone for future reference.
I Like To Type In This Way. I Was Wondering If There Is A Setting That Will Automatically Capitalize The First Letter Of Each Word So That I Don't Have To Keep Hitting Shift Before Each First Letter.
So at one time or another I typed "tge" instead of "the" but I hit the little X when the iPhone suggested "the" (accident) and now the iPhone recognizes "tge" as a word and never corrects it.Where is the iPhone User Dictionary so I can remove the word "tge"? I've searched and searched but there isn't much out there.
when iam posting a POST using my iphone 4s in my facetime, it says in the bottom of my POST is "sent via mobile" .. how can i change it in via Iphone 4s? or customized siganture?
I currently use a third party application (GoodReader) to send MS-Office documents as email attachments. Is the an application or extension to the Apple iOS Mail client that will allow me to attach these files without the use of a third party application?
