Xperia Z3 :: Location Based WiFi Error
May 4, 2015So I have a Lollipop updated D6633. From what I understand Sony got rid of the Location based wifi support with the new Lollipop release. However I keep on getting an error message every so often as attached, showing that location based wifi has stopped. I also attach what I think is a logcat.

The auto detection of location does not work. I have set the update interval to every 2 hours.
Before i left for work the location on the weather widget is "Kampong San Teng"
When i reach office and after 2 hours the location is still "Kampong San Teng" only when i manually go to weather widget and tap on use my location then it will change to "Buona Vista".

Aug 6, 2010Navigation used to work fine on my X6, but since having to do a hard reset of the phone (due to other problems!) I cannot use the Navigation.
Everytime I get the error 'navigation cannot start at this location' and it doesn't seem like the phone can ever pick up my location.I have tried un-installing and re-installing the application but to no-avail!I haven't even wasted my time calling Nokia Support, as they are totally useless!

Mar 24, 2012I just recently got an iPhone 4s and i have been pleased with it. However, today i called a friend who didnt have my number and it said i was calling from Sunnyvale, CA. The problem is, I an in San Jose, CA. I know this is not the end of the world, but i would like to be able to fix it. My brother got his iPhone at the same time, but his location is correct. Also, i checked my map app, and it pinpointed my location correctly. My only problem is that it says im calling from a different location.

I have SBSettings installed and obviously openSSH, amongst other things.Whenever I switch my phone on SSH and location services seem to switch themselves on. This particularly annoying as it then burns through my battery life, which is bad enough already, if I forget to switch them off.

Aug 22, 2010I'm new to the iPhone 4. I've had it now for 4 days and absolutely love this phone.One thing I've noticed that I can't seem to find an answer for anywhere is that when data is being used there's a spinning gear that appears on the bar at the top. For the most part the location of that gear is between the 3G symbol and the clock, just left of centre. But I've noticed today for a few hours it was consistently appearing on the right side, just to the the left of the Battery indicator. And now it's back again between the 3G symbol and the clock.
Is there a reason for this location swap? Is it random or is something specific setting it that way?

Jun 24, 2010I've upgraded from a 3g. Looking at the face with the home key on the bottom, the speaker is on the bottom left and the mic is on the bottom right. The Ip4 is the opposite. Was there a specific reason for this change?

Apr 17, 2012Location services suddenly only works when apps like Maps are used - Otherwise the icon disappears from menu bar. Find my iPhone in iCloud sees the device as 'off'. Have rebooted iPhone4, re-inserted SIM card (which Location Services doesn't need), turned it on and off several times.
