IPhone :: Copy Photos From The Photo Library To A New Computer?
May 13, 2012
I use 2 PCs and an iPhone 4S I added photos to the phone which appear in the Photo Library, but want to copy them to my second computer (different place).
I have pictures on my iphone in the photo library file (not talking about the camera roll file). I have tried several times to sync the phone and save them but I am being told that the iphone has been synched with another computer and it will delete all the pictures with the new pictures from the file on the computer I have selected. So how do I get the pictures off the iphone and into my computer.
6 months ago i synced my photos (950 of them) to my laptop. But my laptop crashed and i needed to restore it default, so what i did was i copied all synced photos back to my iphone to act as a temporary storage of my photos. but now im about to sell my iphone 4 and i need to transfer my photos back to my laptop i cant seem to do it!!! and im here and ive spent a good 5 hours researching and downloading third party apps just to do that to no success. Im getting frustrated as this should be a walk in the park but its complicated as **** with this phone. Im starting to hate this phone now as this shoud be very easy (just a copy paste) job for older phones with memory cards. ive used iExplore but it doesnt work it just shows the camera roll pictures which consists of recent ones but not the photo library ones..
Am an iPhone user with a question, when i upload new photos from iTunes, the iPhone automatically generate the Photo Library. how can i get rid of this Photo Library
I am using a Windows 64 bit premium, the phone is the 3g 16gig, and I cannot retrieve the photos from the photo library. I can retrieve the camera roll. How do I get the photos from the photo library?
I have imported photos from my Mac (via iTunes) into my iPhone. They are residing in Photo Library. I would like to delete some of those photos but I'm not able to perform that task. I don't see the little trash can anywhere. No problem deleting from Photo Stream though.
If i purchase more iCloud storage, will it allow me to take more photos to keep in my photo library? Or does iCloud storage just count towards photostream?
How do I copy my photos and contacts from my old iphone onto my new iphone without the original computer registered to the old iphone (computer has been damaged)?
I had a MacBook Air and a 6 year old desktop PC. Everything I had was on both of them, so they acted as each other's back up. This Sunday evening just gone, my PC finally died a traumatic death, and I can't even get it to boot from Safe Mode. Then on Monday while I was at work, my house was burgled, and my MacBook Air was stolen, amongst many other things. All I have now is my iPhone 4S which was with me at the time. All my music, photos, videos etc are on my iPhone, but I'm very aware that when I eventually get my replacement MacBook from our insurance company (I'm being realistic and accepting that I'll never see my stuff again), as soon as I plug my phone into a blank iTunes library, I'll lose everything that's on there. Obviously I can re-download everything I've purchased from iTunes, though it will take a VERY long time and I still won't have playlists etc, and I can probably either Dropbox or email what photos I have on there, but I have a lot of video clips from over the last few years that aren't on my camera roll - they're in the phone as proper videos, in the video player app, and I can't get Dropbox to view that location, or figure out how to email them. The videos are very important to me and I really don't want to lose them; so much so that I'm thinking of never syncing my iPhone ever again! Basically, what I'm asking is, how can I copy everything from my iPhone into a blank iTunes library?
Having some issues accessing or even finding the photos stored on my device. iPhone 4S iOS 5.1 Image Capture only sees the "Camera Roll" (500 or so pictures in there) but I can't access anything else. Here's how my Photo Library is structured on my device:
Camera Roll (518)
Photo Library (2,385)
Old Camera (741)
Old Library (1,644)
I can't access the last three using Image Capture, iPhoto - can't even find any of these photos via 3rd party file browser utilites. I've also mounted the iPhone to disk but can't find photos anywhere. (I've tried showing/hiding hidden files in OS X - still nothing)
Info: MacBook Air, Mac OS X (10.7.2), 256SSD, 4GB, Core i7
I sync photo albums from my HD to my iPhone using iTunes and the albums show fine on the phone, but I can't get rid of the golly darn PhotoLibrary album. If it has to exist to hold the photos, no problem,BUT I don't want it to SHOW---have tried everything for hours, except something that will work. And why can't I drag and drop images to the phone and not have the pain of iTunes?
In trying to put a few photos onto my husband's 3GS iPhone from my MacBook Pro, somehow I managed to put part of my Photo Library onto his phone and now I cannot delete it. I can't even delete the photos one by one. How can I delete the entire Photo Library off of his phone?
Basically, I am trying to update my phone but will be unable to do so until I can clear up some space. So, I go on my usage and 6 GB OF DATA is being consumed with photos which don't even exist on my phone anymore.
I tried to clear out the photo library by syncing to iTunes, deselecting Sync Photos (and hit Apply). After that, it tells me I still have over 2500 photos on my phone.
When I go to Manage My Storage in Settings on my phone, it tells me the following:
Photo Library 4.9 GB
Synced from iTunes Library 1 MB
My Photo Stream 1.1 GB
Shared Photo Stream 54.2 MB
I don't understand what is in the Photo Library? I have 49 photos on my Camera Roll.Â
My wife and I share a computer for our itunes accounts. How can we copy our music libraries to each others accounts without erasing the original library? We want to merge our songs.
how can i delete a folder off of my iphone 4s photo libaray? i have 2 folders with the exact same photos and cant figure out how to delete one of the folders
