I back up my phone few time and taken every thing off and reload it?for some reason itunes keeps duplicating visible albums and i can't get rid of them? Also i mix one my albums up and won't let me get rid of album with 4songs in?

I bought two whole albums off of iTunes the other day from my Mac. They downloaded, and synced to my iPhone. These albums can play on my iPhone normally but there are also duplicates with the symbol as described above, except with no art work and they will not play.I am a user of iCloud, but not iTunes Match. All the songs are properly downloaded on my Mac, and there are no available downloads. I've tried hard reset as well and powercycling my phone. I've closed down the music and tried restarting. Everything is all up to date, and I've tried taking these two albums off then back on my iPhone, but that didn't do anything. These songs are already downloaded and I just checked for downloads and there's nothing to be downloaded

I have 10 albums that I sync to my iPhone. I have a specific photo that I have saved as "0" so that it's first when I sync, creating a cool album cover. However, since the recent iTunes update, when I sync photos to my iPhone, it sync them out of order and sometimes creates duplicates. Occasionally, some photos are in the wrong albums.
I unchecked all albums, synced, then resynced with the albums checked, hoping that putting them back on fresh would help, but it doesn't. Incidentally, if I sync 1 album only, they sync in the correct order with no duplicates.

I have an iPhone 4sI use Google Calendar.I do not use iCloud.My calendar is fine and syncs perfectly between my computer (Lightning) and my iPhone 4sBUT when I go to the pull down notification screen on my iPhone 'recurring events' are duplicated. See above for a screen shot of my calendar settings and my pull down screen I can't work out why. As I said they show up as a single entry on the iPhone calendar and on Lightning and Google but not in the pull down notifications.

The main problem started when I deleted the duplicate contacts from my iphone icloud contacts list, contacts which I deleted were also deleted from my laptop & icloud website. Photos I take with my iPhone 4S appear in iPhoto on my iMac; however there are two of each photo. In other words, iPhoto on the computer is duplicating every single photo shot on the iPhone.

I find this is worth doing to stop itunes from upgrading your phone or accidentally upgrading. (if you set a jailbreak up for a friend who might not be wise to JB's worth doing this to them) Download FWChanger from Cydia and set custom firmware, then reboot. I set mine to 3.1.3 and i used build 7E18.
For those who dont know what this prog does, basically it just changes the number of your firmware, and nothing else (as far as i know), so itunes picks it up as your running latest firmware (when really you are not). Now itunes says my software is up to date.
The only thing it would let me do is restore. I sync automatically, will I be able to restore my contacts and other data?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have something going on with an unknown app where the downloads folder has hundreds of duplicated files. My downloaded files folder is up to 3447 and, I'm only guessing here, but I think it only had somewhere around 500 before this? I'm not sure which app is doing this. This is occurring in two places and both are on the SD card. The first is the downloaded photos and the second is the downloaded files. It may be that the two are one and the same just that the photos folder only shows the downloaded photos from the downloaded files folder.
Also, there are photos that I have never seen before, a woman in a blue dress, a truck on fire, and others that I do not recognize. Additionally, I have noticed that other folders on the SD card are being accessed and changed as well because the dates of files inside those folders do not make any sense such as a photo that I took two weeks ago appeared yesterday as being taken yesterday. The date of that photo was dated for yesterday...
I have deleted apps, disabled apps, and stopped email from checking for new email (changed it to manual only). I thought it might be a setting in my email as a lot of the files are downloaded files from my email, but it continued after that. I'm not sure what to check next.
Is there an app that tell what apps are accessing what folders? Or is there a way for me to figure out which app is causing this? I hate to even say this, but I remember when I switched from the iPhone 3G to Android. I thought my Android blew the iPhone away until I figured out that Android does not allow me to limit the access to certain things on my phone. If I want an app, I either allow it to access whatever it wants to access or I don't download the app.
My HTC Desire Z has duplicated every contact in my phone x5 - the only problem is that when I try to delete the duplicates it deletes every copy of that contact. I had to manually delete all the contacts and re-enter them 1 by 1. i turned my phone off last night and when I turned it on again this morning it had duplicated each contact by 3!
