Apr 27, 2012When I sync my Outlook (2010) contacts through Kies (v2.3.0.12035_16), my SGS2 ends up with multiple entries for almost all of my contacts; some might have three, some two, some even four entries for the one person.Each entry has different information. Some of theseduplicate / triplicate contacts have old information. All of them (except the original for each contact on my phone) are missing the contact picture.ome of the contacts that are synce'd to my phone no longer exist in my Outlook. Eg. I deleted Aerial Taxis from my Outlook contacts and replaced it with Elite Cabs, however after deleting all my contacts from my phone and syncing through Kies, I have two Aerial taxis entries in my phone and none in outlook. It seems Kies has created it's own cache of contacts that it thinks it needs to sync andcontinually syns them regardless of what I do to Outlook or my phone.I have disabled syncing through my GMail account for contacts. I even deleted all the contacts from my GMail account (in preparation to import them from a CSV export from Outlook). have uninstalled and reinstalled Kies. Checked, the folloowing folders were removed: C:Program Files (x86)SamsungKies C:ProgramDataSamsungI even deleted the UserAppData olders:C:UsersusernameAppDataRoamingSamsungKiesC:UsersusernameAppDataLocalSamsungIt continues to add the same contacts everytime it syncs, even after uninstalling and removing all the folders.

May 5, 2012I am trying to upload music to my iPhone 4 from iTunes. I can see my iPhone under the Devices section and can browser through the various tabs "Summary", "Info", etc. In the Music tab, I check the box to "Sync Music" and opt for "Selected playlists, artists, albums, and genres". I make my selection and can see the Capacity updating with the selections made. But then the only option I have is to click "Revert". I can see the "Apply" button, but it is greyed out - and cannot be selected. No "Sync" button appears.

Jun 21, 2012On my Iphone I have multiple albums for my photos. For the life of me I can't find out how to transfer the photos from them!! Of course it's easy to transfer any photos that are in the CAMERA ROLL album, but it's impossible to grab photos from any other folder! Other than individually emailing each photo to get it off I can't figure out how to do it.

After the sync with iTunes, I noticed that some album remained were in gray, and unable to play on the phone. These albums can play on my iPhone normally but there are also duplicates with the symbol as described above, except with no art work and they will not play.I am a user of iCloud, but not iTunes Match. All the songs are properly downloaded on my Mac, and there are no available downloads. I've tried hard reset as well and powercycling my phone. I've closed down the music and tried restarting. Everything is all up to date, and I've tried taking these two albums off then back on my iPhone, but that didn't do anything. Jun 24, 2012I have 10 albums that I sync to my iPhone. I have a specific photo that I have saved as "0" so that it's first when I sync, creating a cool album cover. However, since the recent iTunes update, when I sync photos to my iPhone, it sync them out of order and sometimes creates duplicates. Occasionally, some photos are in the wrong albums.
I unchecked all albums, synced, then resynced with the albums checked, hoping that putting them back on fresh would help, but it doesn't. Incidentally, if I sync 1 album only, they sync in the correct order with no duplicates.

IPhone 5s :: IOS 8 - Music App Sorts Albums In Wrong Alphabetical Order
Dec 1, 2014In the latest build of iOS 8 (and in previous builds of iOS 8 but for me not in iOS 7), the music app is sorting Albums in the wrong alphabetical order. (The problem doesn't affect the Artists list, for example.) I get pages like this (see below), where the As are interrupted by an L and then returns to As, only to be interrupted by a P later on. As you can see, the album under the interrupting "L" has no Ls in it by which it could be sorted under L, but even if it did, why doesn't this album then appear below with the Ls instead of sorting here oddly among the As?
The problem seems to be limited to the A section as far as I can see. This problem also makes the alphabet side scroll not work at all, so you have to manually flick through a long, long list of albums. I've tried deleting and resyncing all the music from iTunes, but this didn't fix the problem. I also tried tweaking the settings in Settings>Music (e.g., activating and deactivating Group By Album Artist), but this also didn't fix the problem. I assume this is a bug in iOS 8.

When I unplugged my phone and checked my music, several albums had two copies of the same song or entire albums were split apart. One in particular was split into 4 different albums, with only one containing the entirety of the song list.

May 20, 2010I just started researching IPhone hacking over the last week, and it seems to me that the obvious way to block this, is to disable iTunes ability to upload custom firmware to the iPhone by holding down option while agreeing to reloading firmware. I would think that iTunes could only allow firmware to be downloaded from a registered apple server.
The argument that it would require a customer to have an internet connection is poor, because just about everyone does, and people could take the phone to an apple store if they did not. No less restrictive than "no cash" for iPads—most people have credit or debit cards (yes I read today that policy is terminated). Or would hackers just create something that can upload the firmware and simulate iTunes so this doesn't matter?

Nov 1, 2011I've had this problem before where I buy an album from Ovi music, and when it goes to download to my pc I just get an error saying Download failed. The problem couldn't be rectified before and so Nokia put a credit on my account. I just went to use this credit today to download something else and the same thing has happened.I'm fed up of calling the call centre and it costing an arm and a leg to do so because I keep getting disconnected and to be honest they're bloody useless and can't do anything.

Dec 12, 2011so i've got my first BlackBerry phone, Curve 9360. it was either this, or the new iPhone, but since i'm not a big fan of touch-screens i went for the 9360. so far, so good. i have one (big) problem, though..
i have most of my music albums stored on my computer as a MP3 backup. and i tried to "improve" my music BB music experience by transferring some of my albums onto my 9360. now some of the albums are OK, but some of them are split in two folders. to clarify this a bit - my albums are stored as folders containing the MP3 songs on my computer. those folders were transferred onto my 9360. an now i have (for example) one Michael Jackson - BAD ablum folder in my phone, but two Thriller, Dangerous, or HIStory folders. or one Clawfinger - Clawfinger folder, but two Use Your Brain folders. and each of the duplicate album folders contains different songs, for example Thriller album has songs 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9 in one folder, and song number 8 in the other one. same goes for the rest of those split albums, each folder contains songs that are not in the second folder. when i connect the phone to my computer it shows only one folder for each album.
