IPhone :: 4 Calendar Won't Sync With Outlook

My iPhone has always been capable of having a two-way sync with my Outlook but for some reason it's become a one-way only sync - from Outlook to iPhone. I've already checked the settings in iTunes and nothing works. Btw, I have an iPhone 4S and Outlook 2010.

Sync Outlook Calendar To IPhone 5s

Sep 4, 2014

I have an iPhone 5s and I am trying to sync with Outlook (Office 365). I have an iCloud address. Using Windows 8.1Â

I established iCloud in Outlook - but syncing only works when I have my iPhone connected by cable to the computer. And - syncing only works when I input a new calendar entry - - syncing does not work over wifi. Also, syncing with a cable will not pick up entries made when not connected - only new entries while connected. Sync will not pick up updates - only new entries.Â

Or is syncing Outlook Calendar to my iPhone limited to new calendar entries only when connected to the computer?Â

IPhone :: Get Outlook Calendar To Sync With And IPad?

Apr 29, 2012

I think I have tried evert known setting but syncing seems very selective. Currently, I load an even into my Outlook calendar (and have the right boxes checked in iTunes) but I am damned if the even will transpose to either my iPhone or my iPad! My Outlook also displays the iCloud calendar too. Is there a definitive instruction that is, effectively, a child's guide to setting up Outlook to transpose events to the Apple devices AND vice-versa?

In my iPhone and iPad, I have the iCloud sync box ticked. In my phone calendars I have both PC and iCloud ticked. Events show in my Outlook and Outlook iCloud but not in the &^&^*&^(*&(*)&(* iPhone or iPad.

IPhone :: Unable To Sync Calendar To Outlook?

Jul 4, 2012

I got my iPhone 4s about a month ago, and today am trying to sync my iPhone calendar to Outlook. It is not working from iPhone to Outlook, but Outlook to iPhone works fine.

After reading forum discussion, I believe the reason is because the salesperson set up a Google calendar (I have gmail). I would love to delete this calendar from my iPhone

I have tried setting the sync default to my regular calendar, but it still is not syncing... If only I could get rid of that Google calendar from my iPhone, I think I'd be in good shape!

IPhone :: Outlook 2011 Calendar Events Will Not Sync With 4

Jul 5, 2012

Just upgraded computer to a new 13-inch MBP. Business is moving over to outlook for mail & calendar services. Previously, I synched my iCalendar between my iphone and computer. Now, however, when I put new events into Outlook 2011's calendar, they will not sync up with my iPhone's calendar. I have done everything in iTunes that I can think of, including resetting my calendars in my phone. No luck.

IPhone :: Cannot Sync To Outlook 2003 Calendar After Software Update

Mar 27, 2012

I have the updated ITunes and IPhone software for my IPhone 4. I have Outlook 2003. I sync via USB. My phone used to sync properly with ITunes, but now nothing seems to be synching. I've tried resetting my sync history, checking the box to replace the info on the phone with the Outlook calendar on my machine, checking and unchecking all calendars vs. choosing each one individually. Nothing has worked. I think I may have had to recreate my outlook pst file the last time this happened but can't remember how I did that.

IPhone :: Outlook/iPhone Calendar Sync - Broken Since Inception?

Apr 30, 2012

I have spent an unacceptably large portion of my life trying to sort this issue out since I acquired an iPhone 4S last October. I have searched for and read hundreds of postings on the web (including and a very protracted one from this site which had received well over 100,000 views...) from what appear to be fellow sufferers of same/related issue.

I did raise a case with Apple via telephone and after weeks of getting nowhere - despite the case being escalated (to whom? - the office cleaning department??) - their conclusion was that it was the fault of my Windows p.c. - which, taking everything I know about my p.c. setup, was nonsense. Apple have basically passed the buck - which, sadly, is exactly what happens when you, as a customer, find yourself relying on two corporations to cooperate with each other in order for your service to be proivided - namely Apple and Microsoft. Clearly these companies do not like exchanging information with one another and would rather drop the problem at the feet of their customers.

The function that is lacking/broken is in fact a simple one but Apple seem to have over-engineered it and turned it into an internally complex process and it simply does not work. In fact - it destroys any real-life use of the calendar - to the point where I now have to consider reverting back to a paper diary (at least with a paper diary - nobody sneaks in and erases/modifies your appointments without your permission). Use the iPhone calendar on its own - do not sync with Outlook.

The problem:For reasons I do not understand (and sadly Apple do not either according to the result of my dealings with their customer support team) - when a sync partnership is created with Outlook via iTunes (any version of Outlook/iTunes as far as I am aware) - ALL events AFTER the next Daylight Savings Time adjustment will be modified so that they show in calendar as one hour earlier/later than the times they were originally created for (as of time of writing in the UK - the next DST event is October 28th when clocks go back an hour). This is irrespective of whether you have correctly set your local Time Zone on the iPhone and that the same Time Zone is also set on the Outlook application. As far as Outlook is concerned - all seems fine. If you view the Outlook calendar and check for example a recurring event - let us say a weekly Thursday event set for 0700hrs-1300hrs - all of its future occurances in the calendar will show, unsurprisingly, as 0700hrs-1300hrs - no matter how far ahead you check the calendar dates. This is what you EXPECT to happen and, quite frankly, if it was modified in any way it would make planning reminders and appointments in the future and checking for conflicts impossible. Well guess what? This is exactly the nightmare you face when you view the same "syncronised" calendar on the iPhone. As you browse through your iPhone calendar to check what is upcoming and you unwittingly stray beyond the next DST date (in my case - October 28th) you will become aware you have entered a twilight zone where everything is not as you thought. You could have sworn that the important appointment on November 3rd was for 1400hrs but it is clearly showing as 1500hrs - so you must have changed it right? Wrong! Your iPhone calendar changed it. Apply this problem to ALL your appointments that were created BEFORE October 28th came along and you can begin to see what a disaster of time management you have now been forced to become. Some troubleshooters round here has suggested changing the Time Zone on the iPhone (the setting found under GENERAL/MAIL,CONTACTS,CALENDARS) and although this may appear to bring the appointments back to their proper time it is not actually making any REAL difference. For example I found last October when clocks went back that changing my iPhone Time Zone to UTC time "corrected" the issue (had I checked the calendar as far forward as March 25th and beyond I would have realised this problem was merely being disguised as another).

ALL that should be happening on DST day is that the clock should either go forwards or backwards one hour - notice I said CLOCK. The clock is ALL that needs to change - and, quite frankly, it does not need the iPhone Calendar nor Outlook to do that as the time signal from the cellular network will do that automatically for you. Post-DST events are being treated by iOS like events in a new time zone - I guess iOS is adding some kind of hidden attribute to all these events and classifying them as switching a time zone on the date the clocks go back - this is WRONG! Leave the events themselves alone!! When I book a 5pm appointment I want it to remain a 5pm appointment. The sync process is clearly where all carnage starts to set in - I suspect iTunes and its relationship with Outlook is flawed?

the email account is already defined as the default account for calendar (CICAL)!!
