IPhone :: Audio Is Only Faint When Operated Normally?
May 20, 2012
Phone audio is only faint when operated normally and unchangeable but the speaker mode audio is at correct levels, also headphones are at the correct levels as well.
Why did Apple make the text so faint in 4S? I'm not saying that the previous one was in BOLD, but it was definitely clearer to see. Now it looks so faint.
Is there a way to make the text look thicker, if not bolder?
My Iphone was fine as I was texting my friend and then all of a sudden the screen went grey with a faint white line across the top quarter on it. If found out I could fix it by resetting the phone which I did. After this, the screen came on and all 4 corners of the screen started flashing and I've tried switching it off and also resetting it. none of this worked! I
My IPhone 5S is about 8 months old and still under warranty.
4 days back faint gray lines started appearing on the bottom of the screen. After another day a small black spot appeared on one side of the grey lines and it has been growing since then.
I visited Apple Service Centre yesterday. They could not diagnose the issue so they sent some pictures to the Singapore team for escalation. I had a word with the singapore team today and they tell me that the black spot is likely due to pressure damage and they will not cover this under warranty.
On being quizzed further, they do not have any clue why the grey lines have occurred.
On being asked how come there are no other signs of damage either to my touchscreen or to my screen body, they hilariously replied the pressure damage is from inside the phone.
When asked how they think I could have applied pressure from inside my phone, they are clueless again.
My wife's Torch 9800 started playing up yesterday, upon sliding the screen up it would stay blank (although it's actually on just very very faint) until you slid it down again slightly at which point it would work as normal. It's gone downhill since then and now just stays faint no matter what you do with the slider.
I find call volume fairly low even at 10/10, On speaker mode its phenomenal, but the earpiece seems a bit faint. I'm guessing this is normal because I heard another person complain about it around here but I wanted to get a larger sample size.
Just noticed last night. If I brush my fingertips over the top of the phone near the camera there's a very faint vibration when on charge. To be fair its very hard to detect.
Just got my new Moto X Pure. I'm seeing really faint vertical lines, most noticeable on a white background with the brightness on high, all over the screen. I'd honestly say they resemble some kind of light burn in if I didn't know better. They are quite faint and unobtrusive but I get distracted by it. Is this normal for a LCD TFT screen?
Recently I attended a conference and recorded the audio on my iPhone3. I want to transpose the information to a document without the agony of typing every word. Is there an app for this purpose?
Just started happening today. When I turn my phone on, instead of getting the lock screen I get a white screen that just has the emergency call box at the bottom. I can get no further than this. When I touch emergency call, I can see the bar at the top with pending notifications, but no way to get there. I can hear the incoming text notification. I can receive a call. On the white screen, I can see the faint images of home and back at the bottom. I have rebooted, removed the battery. when I start in safe mode, I see the same white screen, but it does say safe mode at the bottom, but still can't do anything or get any further.
I got the S6 Edge yesterday and it's my first Samsung phone. I've notice a faint blue tint on the bottom half on the screen. If you open a new tab in Chrome you can see it there against the white background. The top half of the screen is a nice white color.. there is definitely some kind of darker difference on the bottom half.
I cannot here voicemail no matter what I do. Phone volume is at max, I tried to use the speakerphone etc. There is a very faint recording volume that you can hear if it is absolutely quite and you listed to it 2-3 times. Phone is at the latest update. Is there any way to adjust the volume?
My Nexus 5 was working fine, and hasn't been dropped/damaged, but the screen has suddenly gone green and very faint. It still works but I can't figure out what the issue is. My guess is hardware?
When I say green and faint, I don't mean just a little bit, I mean a green/yellow hue all over the screen, and faint like someone has applied super high contrast in a photo editor.
Phone is stock, not rooted or modified in any way.
This problem started recently. My bluetooth headset connects, and can trigger the call to be answered, but the iPhone doesn't use it as the audio source. In fact, the button that normally selects the sources, now shows only the speaker icon (and toggles speakerphone).
After updating to 5.1, it seemed to be fixed -- that same button again let me choose the audio source. That was yesterday, but today when I answered a call, it didn't go to the headset, and the source button again shows only the speaker icon.
The iPhone answers the call when I press the button on the headset. It's just not seeing any audio source.
I've powered on & off, not fixing the problem. I can't poinpoint the start of the trouble exactly -- it seemed to simply work one day and not work the next. I honestly don't remember if it coincided with updating to 5.01.
I have audio through the headset or speakerphone with no issue but none through the handset. Did a battery pull but that did not resolve the issue. I also just upgraded to Rogers OS 5.0.0.743 not sure if this is what caused the problem.
Came from LG G4 that didn't have these issues with the same apps.
Sometimes the audio will work fine (notice this more when I'm on WiFi) but sometimes, in all apps (snapchat, facebook, regular gallery view) the video will play but the audio will cut in and out.
Not sure what it is. Phone is rooted (systemless) and is running the EX Kernel. I didn't mess with the audio settings in the EX Manager...
This is a huge issue for me as I spend a lot of time on Snapchat, Instagram and YouTube (I'm a vlogger, etc.).
I've had two Razr's behave the same, whenever audio plays, especially using the headphone jack and external speakers, one can hear an audiable click or pop just before and after the audio plays. This happens with Pandora, Rhapsody, and Google Navigator. I haven't tested other audio based apps yet.Verizon and Motorola say they've not heard of this issue, so I'm wondering how many other Razr owners have noticed this pop? Hearing such noises as the audio turns on and off is not acceptable quality for a Motorola branded phone.I don't know enough about how the Android OS works, but I'm thinking there are two possible causes. First, as different apps access the audio hardware the internal electronics of the phone produce an audible pop as the circuits power up and down. Alternatively, the Android OS may be probing the headpone jack trying to determine if it's connected to external speakers. I've noticed that the pop gets louder as the phone approaches 100% charge.
With a 90% charge or better I've even had the audio output go quiet if the headset cable is moved, even though the audio application shows audio is playing. I know that removing the headset cable will pause the player, but in this case hitting play starts the player and it shows progress, but no audio is heard.
I've been using my Moto Droid, running Android 2.2.2 for some time now. Up until recently, I've been able to use it to listen to Pandora and mp3s loaded onto the phone. Now, any time I plug a set of headphones into the audio jack, the audio is really distorted. It sounds like a channel is out or something, and this happens across all volume levels. It pretty much sounds like you're listening to music underwater. Doesn't matter if it's streaming adio through Pandora or mp3 audio. When I unplug the headset (any headset, mind you) and go to external speaker, the audio is fine.
today i notice that in the upper right corner of my atrix 2 , in that part where the proximity or light sensor is located , there is a faint red light dot, and no... it is not the notification led.
I've accidentally disabled audio settings in my phone...after a restart it was not there...nd the audio settings in the music player tells ' Unfortunately, Musicfx has stopped '. Nd clear audio + nd equaliser disappeared from there nd audio settings in Sound & Notification settings also disappeared!! Pls hlp...
I just got a new phone about a week ago. Today I was texting noticed that it was having shortages in the clicking. When I played a game the sound wasn't working. Later that day my dad called and the phone wasn't playing my ringtone. Now it will not work at all with any sounds. I have reset all my settings on my phone and turned it on and off multiply times. It doesn't seem to be working. I did try putting my headphones in and turned my music on and it was playing through the headphones but when I took them out it wouldn't play.
That's it. How do I slow down the audio on my iPhone 4S. This happened on an earlier iPhone I owned and I was able to look up the answer to make it stop. But now, apparently there is an industry in trying to get you to buy apss that will make your $500 phone play correctly.
iPhone 4s with iOS 5.1.1 When I use FaceTime from a hotel when I travel it only seems to send video and NO AUDIO.I can get both video and audio and when I am in my home network this is not an issue.
So I accidentally dropped my IPhone 4 into water and everything was a bit off at first. After a while it was pretty much back to normal except for the audio. I can hear phone calls but I can't hear music, audio from games, etc. How do I fix this?
Using my iPhone 5s, when I play my audio, despite it being at the highest possible volume does not output a loud sound. I have tried different headphones and the volume does not increase.Â
I recently purchased a 2012 Volvo XC60. When attempting to control and play music through the USB connection and the iPod function on the audio system, my iPhone 4S (version 5.1) continually switches the audio output to bluetooth. That results in me still seeing the display for the music but losing the audio. I can go to the music app on my iPhone and see that the audio output has been switched from 'dock connector' to 'My Volvo Car' and change it back to dock connector, restoring the audio but it only lasts for about 30 seconds until the phone overrides the setting and switches audio back to bluetooth.
I have tried every sequence to avoid this as far as connecting my iPhone via USB only after the bluetooth connection is already established, starting the vehicle with my iPhone already connected and phone off at the time of start up and everything in between that you could imagine to no avail. I understand that there is a 'last connection wins' configuration with the iPhone but this does not make any sense as my audio connection is not maintained through USB even when I make that connection after establishing bluetooth connectivity.
Is there a voice/audio recorder app that will allow me to record for however long and will allow me to email no matter how big the file size? I need to record and email long lectures for the organization that I'm in.
